Elite came through for me again! When I have a good experience with local companies like this I tend to come back. My washer and dryer needed some help. The dryer was screaming and the washer wasn't draining so I got quotes from different companies using the Yelp quote feature but I knew there was a company I've used before so I hunted them down and sent a request to them as well. That company was Elite. They responded to my quote request quickly and spoke with me about what I needed help with. We got scheduled quickly and then Steve Sr. came by in our scheduled window to help me out. Steve was great! Friendly, professional, enjoyed saying hi to my very enthusiastic dog and kept me informed of all the repairs my machines needed along the way. Our 3 yr old LG convection built in oven wouldn't heat beyond 310 degrees. ( Turns out, we had an arcing situation on the motherboard, wires were burned, that could've started a fire.) My rating is based on a telephone conversation with a gentleman at Elite named Steve. It isn't based on a service experience--and that's a good thing. I called about an LG refrigerator I wish I had never bought, but that horse is out of the barn. I thought the cooling section was not running cool enough (the freezing section is (barely) okay). After explaining my observations, Steve explained some things about temperature variation in refrigerators and indicated it was probably doing the best it could. No repair would improve performance. He said he could come and look at it, but that would cost me a $90 service call and probably yield nothing. We discussed the situation a bit more and I decided to take his phone advice, rearrange the food in that section, and see what happens. I also told him that if ANY appliance in this house needed attention, he is the first person I will call. He has earned my loyalty and he has never put a hand on anything here! Directly, at least. We had two issues , a clogged soap dispenser in our washing machine and the LG frig wasn't making ice in the lower freezer. The tech spent about 5 minutes cleaning out the soap tray and hose. Then quoted us $700 to fix the frig. No thank you I got it fixed at another repair service for $425 parts and installation He charged us$270 for cleaning out the soap tray What a rip I am in a wheelchair , retired and we live on a fixed income. if I was able to I would have fixed it myself that's a price difference of $350 , that's a lot of money to us I would not recommend them as their prices are way out of line The other appliance company said that that soap dispenser service call with them would have cost $150. This is our 3rd or 4th time calling Elite Appliance Repair. This time Michael came out to fix our washer. As usual he was friendly, helpful and efficient. The first time he came out he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and give us a solid quote. The $95 service fee would be applied to the repair cost if we chose to move forward. After shopping around for a new washer, we quickly realized that it was far more cost effective to fix it. Mike came back out and did a great job fixing it. He helped us understand what caused the break and advised us on how to avoid it in the future. He even made a few additional repairs for free that makes our washer less likely to break in the same way moving forward. Always a pleasure to work with these guys. The agitator on my 5-year old washing machine decided to stop working. Michael from Elite was out at the time promised, diagnosed the issue, and weirdly enough, while he was here and looked at it, it started working again. I opted to have the part replaced anyway. The part came in as promised, Michael arrived promptly on time again, and the whole thing was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Dishonest rip off. I paid $200 service charge for them to come fix a stove. Told me it would be applied to any repairs. It took weeks, but once they showed up, late btw, it took him 5 min and he told me the repair would be $600. He said the parts were $200. However they were actually $40. And I didn't actually need a full parts replacement, just needed to be fixed. He might have known that if he actually looked at it, instead of pretending to look at it and charge me $200 for nothing. They also left my stove pulled out and didn't respond to my request to have them come back out and push it in. It was too heavy for me to do alone -aka- I assume they didn't care. read more

Came to check on an only three year old Whirlpool dishwasher which had stopped working. We had a GE Profile fridge go down on us suddenly. I contacted Elite via Yelp, got an appointment same day, and Michael diagnosed and offered a repair. Less than 12 hours start to finish. Our office dishwasher was leaking, so I reached out to request a diagnostic visit. Robbie was prompt and professional. He explained what the issue was, and the follow up service visit was scheduled promptly. Unfortunately, the issue turned into a larger one and the cost to fix it was fairly large. The decision was made to purchase another dishwasher (not another GE that's for sure!). Robbie took the time to thoroughly explain what the initial issue was, and what it turned into in a way that was easy to understand. We did not have to pay the $75 diagnostic charge until we made the decision to replace the dishwasher. Should we have proceeded with the repair, that cost would have been waived. I consider that money well spent, considering the hourly cost of a repair person, and the cost of gas. Fast, Effective and to the point! My washer didn't spin and drain on the largest load. Ugh!!!! I left a message on Yelp Message and I got an immediate response! The appointment was scheduled for a couple of days later. The repair guy was punctual, and within 90 seconds told me my washer was DOA. Call the Appliance Coroner. He said the cost of the repair would outweigh the purchase of a brand new washer and not to waste my time and money. 60 seconds later he collected the $75 service fee and was gone. A distant memory. I really appreciate this experience!! Time is such a precious thing, and this company was awesome!! No fluff or long winded conversation. It's not a 16 course meal, it's an appliance diagnosis. This company is heaven sent! My dryer suddenly stopped working on Dec. 1st. I went to run my usual cycle and the dryer suddenly shut off after about a minute and would not turn back on. Devastated, I frantically searched through trusty Yelp and found Elite Appliance Repair. Impressed by the hundreds of positive reviews, I called them to have them come out ASAP. The next available they could have someone out was that following week and it brought a little bit of sadness as I was hoping for someone to come by within a couple of days. But no matter, I readily agreed for a visit for Dec. 10th. Dec. 10th finally arrives and I get a call from Zach, who will become our tech for the next 2 visits after this, that he is on his way. He arrives at the beginning of the 4 hour window that was given to me and goes right to work on our stubborn dryer. We learn soon enough that the 2 control boards inside the dryer shorted out, causing the sudden stoppage on Dec. 1st. But Zach is unable to fix it same day as he did not have the parts on hand. Little did I know, I was going to be on a 6 week journey with this unfortunate situation (special thanks to my mom for letting me visit her home to use her machines during this time!). This visit was about 30 minutes long; Zach and company was able to help us get what we needed to submit for reimbursement from our home warranty company and we paid him the $75 trade fee for this visit. Unknown to me at the time, Zach placed the order for the replacement parts after leaving my home. I received their automated text saying they would need to follow up with me soon. Several days went by without contact and wondering when "soon" would be, I decided to call. During this call was when I found out that Zach was on top of his game with being proactive on ordering the parts but it will be 3 weeks before it gets delivered to them. Finally, I'm on my way to getting this silly dryer fixed! Next visit on Dec. 29th, Zach comes back and replaces the control boards. This visit was also fairly short - about 30 minutes. I can finally rest now that my dryer is up and running again..... or can I? After running a few loads in the coming days, the panel is showing error codes. I called back to explain and Zach is on his way back for a 3rd visit soon enough on Jan. 4th. He's now opening up the whole dryer, checking the vents, cleaning stuff out. He has definitely been super patient and above and beyond in getting me back as close to a perfectly working dryer as possible. I just hate how my dryer has become temperamental as of now but through no fault of anyone. Dryer works! That's all that matters to me. Thank you to all who read through my novel. OMG these people are a blessing in disguise! Our freezer quit making ice and we were desperate for ICE! We called, they sent someone within a few days. Zach showed up, nice as can be. He was so professional and personable. He told use we needed a new ice maker (bummer) and it needed to be ordered. After 15 minutes he was able to tell me what the issue was and rather than having me make costly repairs or buy a totally new unit he recommended I check on the warranty of the part. This company charges $75 to drive to your house and $37.50 for each additional diagnosis. If they visit two houses an hour, that's practically $200 for not fixing anything. At this point, they could give you a high quote and - depending on what you need repaired - you'd be forced to accept it or lose nearly $120. That's quite a scam. Can you imagine if every company did this and you were charged nearly $100 just to have them drive to your house? This would quickly add up and you could be losing hundreds of dollars without even having anything repaired. I'm not going to provide this unethical company with my business and recommend you do the same. *edit* Through multiple communications, owner seemed willing to offer assistance and help resolve our problems. Experience overall wasn't great. I feel ripped off to pay 150 dollars for a tech to come out and tell me nothing can be repair and not really analyzing or looking at the appliances (3 appliances) thoroughly and told me it will cost the same amount to buy a new one instead of repairing it. They could have told me over the phone when I given them the info of what's wrong with it. I am overwhelmingly impressed with Elite Appliance Repair. Steven explained all of my options, including purchasing a new cooktop. Since the cost to fix my gas cooktop would have been almost as much as purchasing a new one, I decided to go that route for safety and peace of mind reasons. Steven said he would send me a full refund for all of the work they did so far on the cooktop, since they were unable to repair it. Robbie also fixed my dryer.
