I highly recommend Elite Driving School for preparation for the Driving Test, especially if you are an older driver, and or already know how to drive, but have not been driving in a long time. I first took my roast test many years ago, but had not been driving for at least ten years, and when I took the test myself I failed. So I signed up for the 4 lesson Road Test Preparation package.. It's actually 5 lessons, with the last lesson on the day of your test. My instructor was Que. He was very patient, taught me a good systematic method for parallel parking, and drilled into me the need to drive slowly, and carefully, for the test, stopping fully before all stop signs, waiting three seconds and only then looking and starting to go. He's a very good teacher. Passed the first time! read more

I didn't hire this company but wanted to share my experience with them in case you were looking to hire them. I was driving down a main street and an Elite Driving car (only driver-no passengers) blew through a stop sign of a side street and almost hit me. She was going fast so didn't even slow down for the stop sign and when I blew my horn she just continued driving. This was in Sound Beach. Probably not a good person to be teaching others how to drive read more

I'm not really a fan of the instructors and school. One of the instructors made me uncomfortable as a girl by joking about me being "sexy" when I was 17 and would ask me a lot of personal questions that didn't relate to driving. It was just very uncomfortable and unprofessional. This is a very specific instructor who was at a very adult age and was also married. I honestly regret not cancelling all my lessons and switching schools because I dreaded every single lesson I took from here. If you're a girl or if you're looking for lessons for your daughter I don't recommend this school at all.. read more

I hired this company to teach my daughter how to drive I wouldn't send anyone that I loved to this driving school again. The instructor barely knows how to drive himself and it almost got my daughter in an accident I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I took road test 4 times before I met Jim, and this fifth time after having a lesson with Jim I passed. Jim is the person that knows everything about driving and road test; even in such a short period of time he taught me so much. He identified my weakness right away and he taught me tricks that helped so much. In terms of the "unprofessional" and "unorganized" that many people mentioned, I find it untrue. Jim picked me up before my road test on time, gave me a lesson, took me to test, and sent me home; everything went so well and on time. Compare to the big corporate that treats you like a number instead of a student, only wants to separate you and your money, doesn't care if you pass or not, Jim really cares about you. Jim is generally a good person; he's a decent, funny person who cracks so many jokes to make you laugh and relax you. It doesn't matter what's the world view or political view of one person; it's okay to hold different views because not everyone is born in the same era and grow up in the same environment. Jim is a nice person, terrific teacher and he has my respect. Overall, I definitely recommend Jim's Cornerstone.

Each lesson was explained by the book, then demonstrated, then simulated by the class on still bikes, then put into practice in motion. While training a class of 11 people, the instructors were able to give individual attention to how each student was handling the lesson, executing the exercise and able to handle the bike. Constructive criticism was usually served with a smile & friendly comment, and praise was always given. It was structured and professional, with constant reinforcement on safety and awareness of risk.

I have the school call me stating Eva states my son is speeding through school zones and was going 50mph and has attitude issues with Eva. So I confront my son angry because regardless of the speeding I've taught my son better than to be disrespectful to people he is totally shocked surprised and doesn't know what I'm talking about. I call the school back they said that what they noted after dropping my son. That they will get more details and call me back. Nothing I kept calling back to find out what happened nothing. So day of road test now they sent a guy my son said he was cool and he passed. Lack of clear information lack of communication and unprofessional service provided by Eva.
