I am so disgusted with this place. Have been a loyal customer for years. This past Thursday I got a pedicure. Now mind u, weeks before the cost was $30, Thursday it was $40. But their credit card machine was down. Which I did not know before getting my toes done. Or perhaps she told me, but I can't understand what she says. So I got my check book. Now I don't live close by When I return they said no checks! What! Once again I had to leave to get some cash. Its not my fault your machine isn't working! Post a sign at the door since no one speaks good English. I was so angry, especially being a loyal customer for so many years. I will not go back ever again. They also said they can't use regular polish because they are not allowed to use the drying machines! Really other salons can. Just a big rip off. I'm so done with that place. read more

The staff at this salon are not properly trained. I went in to get my eyebrows done and the tech gave me a bald spot in the MIDDLE of my eye brow. When I pointed it out, the tech then told me it was my fault and that my eye brows are naturally like that. I told her in all the years I've been alive no one has ever given me a bald spot on my eyebrow. I don't even know how she managed to do that. Tirade against the loss of manners and polite service: I don't know why, maybe it's expecting too much, but when I pay for a manicure I expect my nail technician to be fluent in the language of customer service. When I pay for a service, I want fast, courteous and proper service. Being as I don't usually pamper myself, I can count the number of manicures I've received in my lifetime on one hand. (okay, two.) And it's hard for me to sit still for that long anyway so it had better be good. However, for those instances when I do get any type of treatment, be it a wax, manicure, pedicure, or cut and color, I expect my technician to be present with me and polite during our interaction. She should not be slapping my hand to swap them out so she could work on the other one. Nor should she be answering the telephone and making appointments as she files my nails. The hole in our mouths is for more than chewing gum and yammering on our phones- I know your name, do you know mine? A couple of my colleagues had mentioned today that some of their technicians have full blown conversations while working on a patron. I'm sorry but your job function does not require that you receive emergency phone calls. Hire a receptionist to answer your phone and take messages. Or hold onto your cuticle clippers here, this may shock you - turn off your cell phone and LET IT GO TO VOICEMAIL. No one will die if they can't reach you. Unless you're Edward and you just can't reach Bella on her cell phone to tell her Jacob's got a baby mama so forget him.... Just kidding.... And just so you know - a phone call from an 18 year old son who doesn't know how to defrost chicken for you to make dinner when you get home is NOT considered an emergency. Neither is locating a mysterious article of clothing that you washed for him. You ask how I know these things? Remember- if the person sitting across from you looks remotely Asian, they MAY be able to understand you. (I guess being dragged by my mother on Saturday mornings to Korean language school served some purpose.) Lastly - as far as full service salons go - please don't make my waxing or any other grooming element be situated in a public area for passersby to see. Trust me -any woman who is worth her salt will not want some snot nosed kid staring at her half mustache while the technician runs to get more gauze strips. I'll pay double for a private room in the back with a candle and some hooky Enya on shuffle. These are private bodily functions I would like to relax, if possible, and enjoy someone taking care of my needs for once. I do not want to feel like I am prodded and poked around for the best angle to work on, but rather, gently coaxed into the right position for them to work on me. This is not my job, this is YOURS. I am not asking for out of this world service, this is basic manners and the minimum when it comes to customer service. Either way, back to this particular salon - today I got a shellac manicure and so far it looks pretty good. The sides and the tips weren't completely covered as well as I found a bubble - and that of course drove me nuts as soon as I walked out into the sunlight (breath sasha, breathe!) but it was okay. This is the first time I'd gotten this type of manicure done so I don't really know what to expect. (Please be forewarned, this rant is NOT for Elite nails. This is a general rant aimed at insensitive aestheticians who complain about their business slowing down.) Happy to say that the nail technician did NOT answer the phone or engage in any otherwise unseemly behavior but the whole experience did seem a bit rushed, which is not what I'm looking for. I'd like to find a salon or a technician that will pamper me, and I in kind, promise to treat them with loyalty and better gratuities in appreciation for their service. In this economy it is amazing that the women in my office are griping that they would pay double for a salon that actually gave them a relaxing experience! I came to this salon 3 times and the service was not what I expected. I made appointments for the 2nd and 3rd visits but both times they took me in about 30 minutes after my scheduled time. I came back because technicians Kim and Patty are great. Wonderful customer service and work. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. The 3rd visit (2 days before mother's day), my husband made appointments for a party of 5. As mentioned, we might as well not had an appointment because they did not stick to it. Then when most of my party was seated, the service was rushed. My daughter and i decided to have a lip and eyebrow wax. Well, are we regretting that decision now. My daughter's skin was burned and I have bald spots in my eyebrows. What makes it worse is that I complained about the shoddy job and the woman that waxed us (i assume she was the owner), said that's how my hair grows. I tried to explain to her when I walked in I had full eyebrows but she wouldn't take accountability for messing them up. We got into a back and forth in the front desk. Finally she said, "what do you want"? I said I want you to admit you messed up and at least give me my money back. Well, she gave me the money back but never admitted wrong doing. WOW! We had just spent $160 and not even a sorry or the offer to come back for a free manicure. Instead I had to argue to get my money for the waxing back. ELITE, you will never see me or my family again. I went to get my nails done for a wedding I had to attend on the weekend. I'm pretty educated when it comes to brands and applications, so when I went to Elite Nails I was prepared to spend $60+ on quality nails. The place was packed so I decided to come back in an hour. I got a full, gel set and I was blown away by the good (costly) products they used. Brands included IBD, OPI, and GELISH, not some rip off, no name, $2 product that came from China. These people do a good job and every dollar you spend here is worth it. Please be advised that while you may pay for the service with your card the tip must be in cash. read more

Never again! On and off again customer for several years. Always felt they were one of the best shops n area. Went last week for a much needed pedicure. Noticed many of the girls I know weren't there. A new lady did my pedicure. She seemed angry that my feet were overdue for a pedicure. She kept angrily talking in her language to male employee next to us and he kept turning around looking at my feet so I know she was talking about me. Waved implement used for calus removal around with my skin in it to show me(and the people next to me) and lectured me on how to take care of my feet. I should have left the minute she used a drill to remove my polish instead of nail polish remover. Rude service left me feeling uncomfortable and with a cut toe that I discovered that night! read more

Terrible ! Don't waste your money. Unfriendly , dirty, no AC ON In August. Asked for a glass of water they said they didn't have any. Noisy with street traffic because door was open. 1 star is being generous. The prices are great and the wait isn't bad but the customer service is beyond terrible. My sister complained about a male nail technician being rude but since the prices are great i went for myself hoping maybe it was just a bad day. The owner was so rude that i walked out and did not get my nails done after waiting a half hour. Good prices but bad service. You get what you pay for. My nails I got done here were so terrible I can't even begin to describe them! First of all the guy who did my nails thought I scheduled my appointment for a completely different day and I had to wait 40 minutes to even begin my nails. Then the guy took said he would do so many peoples nails that just walked in that he rushed my nails so much! They're longer than what I told him I wanted and the gloss on top is so bubbly that it looks like I got dollar store quality nails. It's unfortunate that after being a loyal customer at this salon for over year. I have to discontinue service here due to a nail fungus not on one but 2 nails!!! I have been getting my nails done since age 12 and have never gotten a fungus! More than once I suggested to my nail tech who I always saw.. because I liked his service... if the nails lifting should be replace... He said no and he would just fix them. He even made comment that water may have gotten under the nail but did not replace it said he "got it" and now I have to walk around with these disgusting nails. I am so embarrassed. I was removing my nails to get a new set tomorrow.... smh now I have to go to a doctor for meds instead. I Will Never go back read more

Unless you like your "nail technicians" screaming in Spanish and laughing/giggling/joking around/acting like clowns, please refrain from going here. I was in between their shouting and giggling for an hour and ended up with a headache. My "nail technician" didn't say one word to me until she wanted to get paid. Oh, and my nails are uneven. Some of them are square and some are round. Only good thing is their prices but I'd rather pay $10 more and actually be able to relax for an hour and be treated like a human being. Oh Elite. I'm so sad to be writing this review after so many years of loyal patronage. I have been going to Elite Nails for about 5 years. I stopped going for about year because I didn't really have the extra money to get my nails done. I used to see Chuck, he was absolutely the best nail tech I've ever had in my life. Unfortunately, when I started going back, he was no longer there. I started getting gel manicures instead of the gel nails like I used to get. I have had them done there about 6 times now and each time I've been pretty appalled at the workmanship. They've either been crooked, or different lengths, I've been cut, had them not listen to the shape I wanted, etc. but this last time really just pushed me over the edge enough to actually write a review. I went in on lunch one day and everyone was busy but the owner. She usually does acrylics or gels so she already had a tude about having to do a simple gel manicure. I didn't care, I'm not there for friends, I wanna get my nails done. She rushed through the process not allowing the nails to cure in the uv light long enough. I noticed a slight imperfection on one of my thumbs and so did she and just kept filing that spot down instead of redoing the nail. I paid and left but upon inspection in the sunlight I realized that the nail polish had completely bubbled and lifted. I went back in and showed her and instead of redoing the nail she put another coat of clear gel on top and had me sit there under the uv gel some more. I left to get back to work and by the end of the day both thumbs had bubbled and I had to return to Elite to have them fixed. Another woman there redid my thumbs and they looked fine and I didn't worry about it until I noticed later on that night that they had bubbled again but this time in the middle of the nail so I didn't think it was a big deal because it wasn't on the edge. Obviously it's an issue with their gel colors, they're probably all old, not sure. But in any case, I was truly upset because I wound up having to peel the polish off of my one thumb and partially off of the other. The owner who originally did it should have noticed the issue and rectified it right then and there instead of trying to cover it up and have me come back in only to cover it up again. Super unprofessional and obviously old inferior products. I will not be going back or recommending anyone to them ever again. read more

Been here a couple of times and it was ok service, but cheaper prices, went in today and Jennifer didn't understand what take tips off and wrap my own nails meant obviously, because she ended up cutting all my nails off, that I took 2 months to grow for my 10th wedding anniversary in 4 days. She kept insisting I get a gel manicure and I told her I didn't want a manicure just wanted to wrap my own nails. I guess this is what I get for trying to save a few dollars!!!!!!!! This place was horrible. Cheap selection of nail polishes. Went with a French and that was no good either. The nail technician was rude and kept making me move to make himself comfortable. Yanking and twisting my arms and swatting at my hands. My nails look horrendous. Uneven, rough, and edges so sharp I could cut something. Never going here again. read more
