We traveled to Florida for the first time with our girl. She got a terrible case of fleas despite having good treated her with Frontline. I called this business looking for a flea treatments that would protect her. During the exam I mentioned Darla needed a dental cleaning. They mentioned that it was dental month and if I scheduled a cleaning, I would receive an additional discount on the blood work. They appeared to be diligent and professional. So I scheduled a dental procedures and signed a permission slip that stated she might need 2 teeth removed. I understood this as Darla is 10 years old. Darla has had dental cleanings at home and a couple of teeth removed as she is a rescue. We dropped her off on her appt. At 9:30. I was told I could pick her up at 3:30. At 12:00, I noticed I had missed a call on my cell. I called back immediately and got a recording that stated they were out of the office until 2:30. I kept calling thinking they would be available for people checking on their pets. At 3:30, we went to pick up our dog expecting a dental cleaning and possibly 2 extractions. Imagine our surprize when we were informed that they had pulled 11 Teeth! The receptionist must have realized we were shocked because the vet came out and started to tell me the 'why' of such extreme extractions. Now, I am not a vet so I could not dispute what she was telling me. At this point, I just want to get my Darla and check on her. The vet then told me that because Darla had been under anesthesia for so long the vet had been unable to finish closing the holes left from pulling 2 teeth which had caused bone loss and now we're open INTO THE DOGS SINUSES! And that an additional surgery was needed to put a flap over these areas to stop food from getting into these 1\2 inch holes! She suggested we return the following week. I explained that , 'as I had told them at the time, I made the cleaning appt, we were leaving the next day come back to CT the next day!' I asked that they supply antibiotics so should food get in the holes during our drive (RV), Darla would otherwise get an infection. They provided it at my insistence. We skipped the balance of our trip and drove home in 3 days. I immediately contacted my vet who put Darla on antibiotics for an additional week. We scheduled surgery for that time. On this last Tuesday Darla had surgery to close 2 holes approximately 1/2 inch in size. Oronasal fistula which are common is dachshunds. They are always considered possible when you remove canine teeth. The proper treatment is to deal with it immediately according to our vet. The lack of gum tissue in a narrow snout requires extra care to preserve any gum tissue so that a flap can be pulled down to seal off the hole. Success is varied if done immediately approximately 85 percent. Our vet was appalled at the damage done to the gum area when the teeth were removed. He did his best and we are keeping our fingers crossed. We will know within 2 weeks if Darla can heal. In my opinion, no additional work should have occurred past the work I authorized. At minimum, I should have been consulted. The vet should have known this fistula issue was possible in the breed and started there if time under anesthesia was an issue a dental not with the other 9 teeth. I feel the suggestion for us to return and finish the work is highly suspect. The lack of concern for infection from food entering the sinus is appalling. I should not have had to insist on antibiotics to protect against infection. Darla lost 2 lbs before we got her home. She was Incontinent and shook non stop. We pray our vet was able to save our girl. There is no other treatment for this issue beyond gum grafts and he used all the viable tissue he had. Beyond hoping our sweet Darla heals, we are now at $1300. 00 and counting because we trusted this business. Do your self and your pet a favor....DON'T!

They did such a good job playing with him and helping us socialize him. The people who work here are so sweet & many of them also started at Mutts & Martinis downtown, so when we visited, they remembered Flash! The pricing is very fair IMO as well. When we have boarding needs in the future (or another puppy, god forbid lol) we will definitely use Love My Dog!

I saw some of the decent reviews and fig your not going to please everyone right? (Let me be clear I do NOT like confrontation) so went to store. I took my 18 mth GSD who is very sweet, first day staff seemed friendly (except for one guy in back that was yelling at dogs he just seemed miserable..refer to another review as well). I asked a lot of ? and all were answered. I felt nervous as so MANY dogs clumped together in small area but paid and left. That night my dog was acting diff. Two days later went in again, paid for a 10 session pckge. Put her in car and WOW SHE STUNK!! Like urine/spray!! I immediately went back in the manager sprayed her with an odor spray and I said she needs a wash. Ok get one saturday. I just had my new car detailed day before! But stench stayed! I was angry no one seemed to see anything happen? Anyway I go in sat. And my dog is acting nervous trying to leave outside cage? Im sitting car watching. Shes there with 2 other GSD and a mix puppy; the older GSD keeps bothering mine, I then watch as one GSD picks up the puppy and SHAKES IT!!! I get out of my car and the owner who was standing nearby came over as she saw what happened. I would like my dog elsewhere I said, ok she says and then says the 2 GSD and puppy are altogether and play like that all the time? Yea ok. I go back 4 hrs later to pick her up and mention I brought her shampoo did she get her bath? The older women (2) just stare at me with attitude for some reason? What bath? My dog was supposed to have a deshed wash? Corey the mngr spoke to me yesterday? Well no one said anything....then awkward silence for like an eternity. Ok... so...is she going to get a wash? She stinks. Yea we will check with the girl. How much did corey say? I said he said $30 (which I still do not feel I should even be paying). Then they stood there staring again...it was like a stephen king movie. Ok I said, Ill wait for the answer as Im here to pick her up. Then one walks off and they said come back in an hour. I STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE ATTITUDE! Zero expression the whole time. I come back and she says $58. I told her I had a pre-paid pckge. Then she said $35 (it was supposed to be $30). As Im paying the groomer leaves saying bye to the women and clearly annoyed. They're tips start at 18%. So I add a tip did not ask why it was more than discussed paid and left. Got home and OMG doesnt even look like she was brushed properly. PLUS now she has MATT clumps around neck and ears!! I comb/brush her head to toe daily she never had any....plus what groomer takes less than an HOUR to wash, dry and brush a large dog?? Im going to ask for remainder of my package back Monday and find somewhere else. Nervous about that now as well since other reviews states the owner yelled at them (I do NOT do well being yelled at, Im quiet and reserved if I get yelled at that WILL change). Apart from my pup being more anxious now, the awful way these women made me feel for the whole day is reason enough. We BOTH ended up anxious/stressed! I think other owners are so used to dropping off and going to work and running in for pick up they never notice what goes on during the day but I will sit and watch for a while. I advise you to do the same if you go her

During most classes, she was even used as the example dog for the exercises because she already knew what to do. We signed up for the $229/month membership, which advertised five classes per month, but we were only scheduled for four classes each month. I expected a much more structured and effective training program. Unfortunately, Lulu learned more from affordable recreational center classes than she did here. One of the biggest disappointments was that the dogs never had an opportunity to socialize during class--they were kept completely separated the entire time. Another disappointment was that the facility is filled with agility and training equipment, but it seems to be there mostly for decoration. None of it was incorporated into the classes or used to enrich the dogs' training experience. Overall, we feel like we wasted both our money and our time. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this program if you're looking for meaningful training progress or opportunities for your dog to socialize.

I want to start by saying that I absolutely loved the veterinarian. She always took wonderful care…read moreof my dogs, and I truly appreciated the compassion and attention she gave them. Unfortunately, I lost one of my dogs on Tuesday. Since I had never been through this before, I called the office while I was in tears to ask what I should do with his body and whether the clinic offered cremation services. I completely understand that the office was closing in 20 minutes and may not have been able to help directly. However, what was most upsetting was the complete lack of empathy from the receptionist. Rather than offering condolences or expressing any compassion, I was simply told to call an emergency veterinarian because they were about to close, followed by a "thank you" before ending the call. That interaction left me feeling dismissed during one of the most heartbreaking moments a pet owner can experience. A few kind words or even a simple "I'm so sorry for your loss" would have meant so much. Because of that experience, I don't feel comfortable continuing to bring my remaining pet to this practice. While I have nothing but positive things to say about the veterinarian, the receptionist's response completely changed my perception of the office. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because compassion should extend beyond the exam room--especially during such a devastating time for grieving pet owners.
