Seriously this shop gets 1 star only for the fact that i had a dress for my wedding! I totally understand the above lady's comments as the shop were exactly the same with me! lovely to begin with but once they had my money the customer service was disgusting!! I bought and paid for my bridesmaid dresses a yr before my wedding and had the dresses delivered a week before the wedding and they were the wrong dresses!!! The shop blamed the manufacturers I explained to Liz (managers wife) that obviously I was not happy with the situation and I was told by Denise that there was nothing they could do now as it was too late! I was advised by Liz to have alterations done on the dresses that arrived by their own seamstress but on the manufacturers agreement not to pay for them ( i had to use the dresses as i had no time in less than a week to get new dresses plus the whole colour scheme was built around the dresses which luckily although the wrong design the colour was correct) however after the wedding i explained to Liz that I wanted a full refund and suddenly they were going to give me a part refund and take the charges off for the alterations!!?? I was then told i could get a part refund if they could have the dresses back so they were expecting me to pay to effectively hire two dresses that i didnt even pick!? They have sent me emails that show no customer service skills whatsoever! They are trying to tell me that I have money outstanding which is untrue! I have sent a recorded delivery letter which they have ignored the unfortunate fact for them as a business is that for every bad customer service experience you have you will tell 10 people and with the magic of the internet.it will end up being a lot more!! read more

WARNING DO NOT ENTER THIS STORE************************ I have had the unfortunate experience of purchasing my wedding gown from this store, and have been treated in the most appalling way. Unfortunately I have only just read reviews of other peoples dealings with this shop. I only wish I had since this prior to entering this store.I have never encountered or been treated in the manor by which this retailer has treated and spoken to me. It has caused me horrific stress and upset in the run up to what should be a lovely time in my life. I feel so strongly that I felt I should contact you as I am sure that it cannot be right for these people to treat people the way they do.I first went to this shop in February and placed a deposit on my dress. I get married at the end of August this month, and was assured that my gown would be in by the end of July. So in the last week of July I asked them where my dress was, and their attitude was well 'when its in we will let you know'. I was worried about their attitude, so much so, that I made contact with the supplier manufacturer of the dress Sophia Tolli. I then found out that the dress was made and 'on the rail'. Following speaking to other Sophia Tolli stockists, I was told that they could not understand why my dress had not already been shipped as there is no reason for the dress to be held by them. I was advised that the only reason dresses may be held back is if the shop owe money to the supplier. (if this is the case is it right that this store trades in this manner) I left it at that for 7 days then on the 1st of August I made contact with them again and asked if my gown was in yet. They said no and that it would be a further week. With only 3 weeks to go til my wedding to fit in fittings etc, and the blase' attitude to the arrival of my dress I was feeling very stressed. Then out of the blue 3 hours later they called me again. They stated that they had great news, and that if I paid the remainder of my balance (which contractually is due on arrival of the dress) they could get the dress to me tomorrow. I asked that if my dress was ready, and that it could be delivered tomorrow, why couldn't have it tomorrow anyway, and that I felt very uncomfortable paying for my dress in full, when I had already given them £700.00, and that potentially I would then have given them all of my money, £1400.00 and still would have no dress. Contractually you pay half of the dress upfront, and then the remainder when the dress comes in to the store and that you are happy with it etc. I was then told that they would be passing the phone onto their owner John Davies. When he got onto the phone he started screaming down the phone in an extremely aggressive manor, certainly not the way you would speak to any female especially a customer. He was shouting at me, and calling me 'thick & stupid'. I just asked him calmly when I could have my dress and when it would arrive, but he just ignored me and continued ranting down the phone. He also said that the £200 discount that they had given to me when I placed the deposit on the dress would now be charged and that for every 24 hours the dress was in the shop on arrival, he would charge me a daily interest rate on top. I found this unbelievable, bizarre and was completely gobsmacked. I could not get a word into the conversation at all as he was just screaming irrationally down the phone, in the end he just hung up on me.I was then contacted by phone to say that my dress would be due in by courier some time on the following Monday. I then made an arrangement to go into the store and collect the dress on the next day they were open which was the Wednesday. On arrival to the shop, with my friend, there were 3 people in the shop. The assistant who sold me the dress, John Davies & a female who I had not seen before. As soon as we arrived John Davies started to be aggressive again towards me and was clearly trying to start an argument. Luckily all I wanted to do was get my dress and get out of there so I just ignored him. The assistant then looked down on the floor and said 'thats probably your dress there'. I looked down at a brown courier box. They had not even opened it prior to me coming down to check it was my dress that had arrived. Baring in mind, they knew I was travelling from Cardiff to LLanelli. The assistant then got scissors and open the box. Therefore it had not been hung up, steamed for me etc. It was just pulled out and was creased. Nice way to show a customer their £1400 wedding dress for the first time. I scanned the dress and at this point I was just relieved that it was the right style and colour, following what I had read on the link that I placed above. I was then asked if I had brought a duvet cover with me Luckily I had read this thread the week before and knew they would not give me the dress in a proper bag. So I brought my own. The funny thing is they didn't even warn me in advance that I would need one, so I suspect it read more

When I first used went into this shop they seemed lovely and helpful, I told them my price range and showed me dresses within it. An I fell in love with one of them so I paid my maximum budget for it and was measured given a reciept stating I'd paid in full. They even game me a free fur bolero as a gift. I was delighted. 6 months later I called them for the first time to Ask where the dress was as they had said it would be here by then as I had a disability which effected my walking and I would need that little bit longer to do fittings collect it etc. The lady on the phone seemed rather abrupt by my enquiry and said oh don't worry it will be here b4 your wedding day this didn't fill me with confidence as I was promised a call back after they said they would find out how long it would take. This return call never happened so 3 weeks later I called again really worried as I only had 3-4 weeks for the dress to arrive and fit in the fittings as they used a private seamstress. Once again I was told theyd call me back, my mother in law Then called the shop as I was very worried about the whole situation and so was she an my partner. For some reason the shop took great offense in my mother in law calling to ask when they thought it would be in and what would we do about using their seamstress as I can't get into the shop without help off family or friends. My mother in law is very gentle sweet and plight and just wanted to find out the facts as my head was in panic mode. They became very abrupt and stern with her and told her they felt we had no faith in the shop and that the dress takes 4-6 weeks delievery and we had just over 3-4 weeks before the wedding but they reassured her they'd help me with the fittings and accomadate my disability. 45 minutes later I recieved a phone called whiche was very called abrupt and rude stating my dress would be in in 5 days and I now owed them more money? What I said how come Oh it's because one the day of purchase we forgot to charge you a surcharge and now you are responsible for this and have to pay us to get your dress?? I didn't understand why in 7 months they had never mentioned anything but 45 minutes after my mother in law called they became rude and cold towards me with this new charge! I then had a call from my mother in law 2 days later saying the shop had called and said my dress was in and would she pay the money over the phone. I was not to pleased about this as firstly they should be calling me to tell me my dress has arrived and secondly they shouldn't be asking my mother in law for money. I then had a message saying i had to pay not only the charge but more VAT on top So concerned by the way the shop was beginning to act I called consumer direct to find out my rights as a bridal wear buyer. I then found out that the shop was in breach of contract and could not charge me more money for a item I had already paid for In full. So I called the shop to disguse this charge and the lady 'Denise' became very aggressive towards me when I asked that if they knew it was human error why am I only now being charged 7 months later, she became very rude an said I wouldn't get my dress unless I gave them more money. I also asked why she had called my mother in law regarding my dress and asking her for more money to which she stated well you know i asked her seen as shes taken over your whole wedding yeah i said that this was a very unprofessional way to talk to the customer she became sarcastic in tone and if I had a problem come to the shop an sort it. My partner then called and asked if we could see the manager in 3 days as we had a few concerns she said yes no problem he will be here. So we thought that was the end of that until my partner had a phone call from the manager a Mr Davies he began shouting at my partner was aggressive rude and offensive and stated he didnt give a toss if I was disablied and couldnt get straight in their for a fitting. An if I didnt do the fitting within 3 days I wouldn't get my dress at all at this my partner lost his temper with the aggression from the manager and said he would be leaving work now to collect it. The manager then called my mother in law shouting down the phone in a threatning tone and that I needed to go to the shop an get fitted straight away as their seamstress only worked 1.5 hours a week and had others to see. When he was told I couldn't just get up and get there because of my health deteriation the last few months that I needed help which means prior booking etc he stated my disability was basically not his problem an if i could manage to make it to the shop 7 months ago I can do it again. We where all utterly disgusted by his tone and attitude and just wanted to get my dress an have no more to do with the shop. We went that day after my partners Boss allowed him to leave early due to this crisis. On arrival my partner was not Allowed in the shop and only I an my mother in law entered. We sat down with the 2 shop staff read more
