The staff is nice and helpful. There was an osteology exhibit this time and it was fascinating and well put together. They have a selection to pick from and all types of seating and studying spaces. Lots of computers for use and I even saw one guy watching a livrary movie on it. Never feels too crowded. I am always worried parking will be a problem, but I have found a close spot everytime I have come. There are homeless who use the facility, but I have never had any issues. None of them seemed to be on anything so security must be monitoring for that.

This does a great job keeping the expected increased noise level of children quelled across the building. Other libraries suffer from this lack of design, so this is a great accommodation for the kids while being mindful of all others in the general space I wish they kept the carpeted ceilings tho lol

It is housed in a historic 1953 structure originally built as the First Interstate Bank building. In 1987, Frank Swan, the bank's chairman, donated it to the City of Harrah with the specific request that it be converted into a library in memory of his wife, Elizabeth Swan hence the name. There are many fun community activities. Read clubs for kids, a magical reading show for kids, craft/sewing Group for adults, and a book club for adults just to name a few. It's a smaller library, but there are plenty of computers to use and also several of meeting rooms I've reserved for tutoring. The book / media drop off is great when you're in a hurry. They also have a great used book sale each year. Interlibrary loans are $2.

There are so many rooms you can go to for studying. I like going to the fourth floor. No one is ever there. They have whiteboards for studying and rooms you can rent. They even have museum artifacts on the second and third floor I believe. It's a great library and the people that work there are always eager to help.
