I am impressed that the folks that work here seem to have quite a good handle on the live local music scene, which is a nice distinction and helps him to really stand out. In addition to a great selection of vinyl, they also have some useful supplies available for dedicated record collectors. sometimes record stores can be "dusty" this one is well lit superbly organized, and a joy to visit. I've never been in this store that it hasn't been enjoying heavy foot traffic from other audio fans. This of course is a positive sign that the inventory here is worth coming in and having a look.

Added to the collection a Miles Davis "Relaxing with Miles Davis Quintet" for $12 and added a Montreaux Jazz Festival 2-LP monster for under $10. Now Spinning Records is a small store, barely noticeable just off West College Street in Westerville. Easy parking. Proprietor sells T-shirts but primary goods are vinyl LPs. Lo and behold, there was a record store across the street and open early! I've been to a few great record stores in Columbus, but did not know about this one and it's super great. These days it's a street level entrance, but the absolutely amazing vinyl selection is still very much present in this new record shop located on Summit Street north of campus. most people would be hard pressed not to find several selections that they really like in this large shop. Truly incredible variety. As with most shops like this in the Columbus area, there are some vinyl record collector supplies available for purchase. True collectors and audio files will find this feature very useful. Friendly and talkative staff at the front desk, who are happy to answer thoughtful questions. They are knowledgeable so if you have something on your mind, hit them up if they can help you, I'm feeling pretty confident that they'll do their best. Parking can be a bit of a chore as there are a number of other retail shops in this immediate area, it is also a residential area, and a highly trafficked street. With a little patience, you'll be able to find something relatively nearby. Be sure and check the signs to make sure that you're parking in an area that is permissible.
