I felt both impressed and overwhelmed, just like any little girl or grown woman would be with such important memorabilia. To my delight, my very first Barbie was included in this hidden gem of a collection! After this amazing experience, I ventured upstairs to the music room, where I admired the early instruments this town has preserved. It's fascinating to learn how these artifacts contributed to the town's history, alongside chicory--a coffee substitute--historically significant due to a shipwreck that involved 273 passengers. This wreck was attributed to a treacherous storm on the Great Lakes. Additionally, I've always wanted to know the names of the moving parts on Port Huron's Abt Bascule Bridge, and I was pleased to find those answers provided on a diagram. Unfortunately, I ran out of time in the music room and didn't get to finish my tour, but I am definitely planning to return for another lesson in this town's rich history!

The few scattered exhibits that were there included some local art and artifacts (notably an actual iron lung). A handful of brochures gave some information on the area, but it was not the most detailed or the most useful museum I've ever seen. There seemed to be some interesting artifacts in the boxes that were strewn around the basement, and perhaps the museum has better days ahead.

I had no idea that Thomas Edison was an inventor of many things. He had about 1,000 patents. In grammar school, I learned he was the inventor of the incandescent light bulb but little did I know that Thomas Edison invented the telegraph, storage batteries, phonograph and even the motion picture projector. There's so much to see jam packed in this small hands-on/interactive museum. There are many interesting facts about his personal life and how some of these inventions/patents came about. It's a perfect opportunity for anyone to study history of inventions and the life of Thomas Edison. Signage is easy to read and understand. It's truly a gem.

Unfortunately our tickets for the play 'AVENUE Q' was a flop & an affront; an attack as it were on romantic love having been 1 day past Valentine Day. i would describe it debauchery far worse than an "R" rating. The actors, some quite talented, probably should have passed on this play. I certainly hope none were Christians. yes, I am a Christian. At intermission my husband and I left for home 1/4 of a mile away. I would hope Thumbcoast would be more discerning in script selection in the future.

A Somewhat unusual museum that documents the history of the Wills Ste. Claire automobile, made in…read moreMarysville, Michigan, from 1921 until 1926. Be aware, the building museum is easily mistaken for a factory, as that is what it once was. As such, the Museum sits in the middle of the Marysville South industrial park, located off of M 29/Busha Highway. If you cross the railroad tracks on Busha highway, you've gone too far - but when you drive into the industrial park, you have to cross a set of tracks to get to it. How's that for confusing? If you're into big garish classic automobiles built before World War II, it's a nice place to visit. There are several of these automobiles here; according to Museum volunteers, supposedly roughly about 10% of the entire surviving population of these automobiles are on display here at any given time (about 85 or so are known to still exist, so do the math). While the exhibits are extremely static (with the exception of the fact one automobile can usually be found rotating on a turntable ala the Detroit Auto Show) it's somewhat amazing the kind of displays they are able to put forth in what is essentially a volunteer/club run museum. Like a lot of museums of the sort, it is only open on weekends or by appointment - however, unlike a lot of museums of this nature, many of the volunteers actually live nearby, so if you call the phone number listed on the sign you can often get in to see the displays even on an off day. The museum tends to be closed in winter, as they offer heated storage to antique car owners during that time (this area often gets blocked off for liability reasons). All in all, a nice museum that hopefully will continue to expand and developed in the future.

I felt like I was sitting right there in that beauty shoppe and was part of the conversation, giggles and sorrow this play brought to the audience. It is not assigned seating so please make sure to get there in plenty of time - but if you do not - no worries, not a bad seat exists in this house. $15 is a steal. There are plenty of eateries around the area to support a meal before and a drink after. Parking is a bit difficult as the theater does not support their own parking lot. City parking is available a short distance from the facility or you might be lucky enough to snag a spot out front if you get there early enough. They do have a small concessions area as well.

It's a small theater so it makes for a very intimate experience. The cast is known to interact a bit with the audience and people come away enjoying themselves. I watched Fools yesterday and really enjoyed myself. It's great to support local business and at $15 a ticket pre pay, it is worth it. I like that you can bring your own beverages in if you choose or pick from snacks and some refreshments there. Seating is very limited, so buy in advance, but prepare for a fun evening when you do. Shout out to Noah and the rest of the cast of Fools, a play adapted by Neil Simon. I love silly humor, and this truly delivered. I also liked the raffle for opening weekend and getting a second chance by dressing for the theme. If you are in St. Clair County and want a break from the standard movie date night, come check this place out. Opens 1/2 hour before showtime and street parking is limited so get there early. And there are several nearby restaurants if you want a bite before or after a show.

She said Krafft 8 has small town vibes and it is her favorite so that's where we picked! Tickets were $8.75 for an evening showing. It has been years since I have been to the movies and I recall prices being much higher. They have reclining seats so we were able to pick the seats. The concession stand checked all our boxes. Refillable popcorn and pop, good candy selection. The only downside is the concessionist puts the butter and salt on your popcorn and ours was SO SALTY! My boyfriend was happy they had buncha crunch and sweettart ropes. The theatres are fairly small but the picture and sound was incredible. Large bathrooms. We will be back for another movie soon!
