Ellen Rosenbaum herself handled the sale of our home. Our home is beautiful but it had a challenge in that is was very close to a major roadway. Ellen gave us some great tips on how to prepare our home to put it on the market. It is clear she knows her stuff as the house sold within 3 weeks or so while other homes on the same street sat for 12+ months. Working with her office was also great because they have an electronic system that manages the showings. That was extremely helpful to us because she didn't need to call me each time someone wanted to see the house. I would receive an alert on my phone and if the time didn't work then I would simply respond with an alternate time slot. This was the the first home we sold so we were really green to this entire process. Ellen and her staff were helpful but there were times we were looking for someone to tell us what to do. Or tell us "if it were me I would do this, but understand these are the consequences". We found in this industry (real estate) no one wants to tell you what to do for fear that something will go wrong and they'll get blamed. That at times was very frustrating to us and we often felt like we were responsible for figuring things out on our on. It is not a great feeling when you feel you are paying people to advise you (realtor, attorneys etc.) But again this seems to be normal for the industry. David Rosenbaum contacted me out of the blue in the middle of the COVID-19 in March 2020. He said he had a client who wanted to buy our house. This was a big surprise as we did not sell the house in 2019 and ended up renting the house for a year.
