ELLIE'S TABLE had a 4.5 star rating and when I looked at pictures of the shop and drinks, it looked promising. That was my mistake -- the one time I go off of just pictures and not read the reviews. I did not realize that this was a shop located in an office building. That was what tipped me off that I probably wouldn't be enjoying what I ordered. I got an iced earl grey latte, which I didn't end up finishing because it was just okay. I feel like there's been an uptick in to-go breakfast/lunch spots in Irvine that close at 3 PM and are open for limited days. Ellie's Table is located to the left when you exit the parking structure, tucked into an apartment complex lobby, with validated parking available. The menu is huge, offering a mix of made-to-order breakfast and lunch items like burgers and burritos, as well as a selection of premade sandwiches, wraps, quiches, and pastries. There are also plenty of vegetarian options. The pastry case had unique items like honey whiskey pecan sticky buns, fruit danishes, berry crostatas, thick lemon poppyseed and carrot cake slices for only $5 (a crazy steal!!), and a variety of quiches, wraps, and salads. Prices across the board were surprisingly reasonable, especially considering today's economy. Almost all made-to-order dishes were under $16, which is a rare and welcome find. We ended up ordering and trying the following: *Elote Wrap: Refreshing and flavorful, with sweet corn, avocado, and pico. Not dry at all. *Bacon, Egg, Scallion & Pepper Jack Cheese Burrito ($8.50): great deal and came with tasty salsa verde! *Chimichurri Tri-Tip Sandwich ($15.50): had 4 thick slices of perfectly cooked tri-tip. Flavorful, juicy, and generous. *Ham and Swiss Cheese Croissant ($8) - Flaky, huge (hence the pricetag), and satisfying. *Kouign Amann ($5.50): Easily the best purchase. An absolute standout. Freshly torched sugar on top made it feel like a crème brûlée hybrid. Loaded with custard, silky, and not overly sweet. Would come back again just for this. Came here in the afternoon to grab items off their holiday menu. They have a parking structure and they validate for 2 hours, so parking was not an issue. They also have a few tables here as well for seating; there were plenty of tables when I visited (and even more seating outside!) I ordered a peppermint mocha that was on their seasonal menu which was made in a timely manner. It wasn't on the sweet side which was perfect but I really enjoyed the bits of candy cane they threw on there. I also got their peppermint macaron that had even bigger chunks in less square area - I actually loved the minty flavor of this the most. I got a nitro cold brew with sugar-free vanilla syrup. I'm glad that they offer sugar-free syrup. I thought that it had a pleasant flavor, although it was not super stand out. because it was a nitro cold brew it was pretty smooth and not as deep in coffee flavor as some other cold brews. I thought it was interesting that they roast Wilson beans for their cold brew. I've been to Wilson's coffee shop and I'm not super fond of it. I was surprised i enjoyed this coffee as much as i did considering it was wilson's beans. My grandparents both got decaf Americano. my grandmother added Stevia to hers and my grandfather drank it black. They both liked them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked all of the decorations on the wall. You will need to park in the parking structure and the restaurant is attached to an office building. The food, on the other hand was delicious. I ordered the sundered tomato BLT and enjoyed it. They validate parking for 2hr at the nearby structure or have 20min pickup spots out front. We placed an order pickup which was easy and ready right on time when we arrived. Amongst our group we ordered the churro latte, pumpkin cold brew, lavender matcha latte, honey oat latte, lavender lemonade, and the dragon fruit lemonade. We came with our dog and when we were walking towards the place, a gentleman approached my husband and said no dogs are allowed on the property. I was in the area for a meeting and popped into Ellie's for quick bite. I didn't have any expectations as I hadn't researched it, but let me tell you -- this was the best egg and cheese burrito I've ever had. The tortilla tasted homemade and was arguably better than the homemade ones in Texas. The eggs were so delicious and fresh. I paired the burrito with the red salsa which was relatively mild but had flavor, which I find is so rare for mild sauces. It also had mushrooms which was a wonderful touch! Visited 7/12/24 I wanted to try their soup of the week, which was their Potato Corn. It was delicious and had that light cream corn taste to it. I really enjoyed it. Though for a small 12oz soup at $5.50, it is pricy but understandable. I saw they had a Strawberry Matcha Iced Latte Cold Foam advertised on IG, I don't think it looked at all like the photo but over all it tasted just right. I didn't need to request any more sweetener or anything. I'm thinking I paid for the wrong drink because it was just a latte w/no cold foam. Beef Palm is a cute tiny sandwich but the beef and bread was really good. They didn't ask me what dressing I'd like, they just gave it to me with their horseradish (which I actually thought was ranch if I hadn't asked). I later went to ask about the sauce and she told me, and I asked to swap it out for something else. She gave me 3 options : a type of mustard, sun dried tomatoes and basil. I went with basil and I would agree it tastes really well with the sandwich. It was my first time at this location and everything tasted great. I'd like to add that I did speak to someone about the drink issue. They informed me the cold foam was discontinued due to it not selling as well. I was looking forward to trying their version. I love finding new foodies and owned by family business. My son and I had our monthly gathering for breakkie this time and it was quite delicious. Ellie's is a hidden gem! I'm so happy I found this place. This is a great place for a quick lunch either with coworkers or just by yourself. Service is really fast and super friendly. The food comes out really fast and they have very reasonable pricing. I ordered a mission omelette the first time I was here and was super surprised to get a giant omelette for $12! I've also tried their albondigas soup (which was salty), BLT sandwich and southwester breakfast bowl. The BLT sandwich was crispy and flavorful. They don't skimp out on the bacon or tomatoes which was nice. The southwestern breakfast bowl was also a really good portion of food. I got it with steak. The steak was cooked well and had good flavor to it. They were generous with their steak as they were with the avocado. All in all, I haven't had a single disappointing dish from Ellie's and I will definitely be returning for more. Don't forget they validate for parking (up to 2 hours)! The place can be a bit hard to find - it's directly behind the valet stand. Just walk all the way to the back in the direction of the valet. First time visiting an Ellie's Table as my friend and I were looking for a local coffee spot after our lunch. We arrived around 12:30 which was peak lunch time for a lot of the business complexes and they had a line to order food/drinks (which was a great sign it means it must be worth the wait!) I was very excited to order a coffee and dessert and the person helping us grab the coffee cake was super polite. The person taking my order however didn't seem very attentive. I asked for an iced lavender latte. And about 3 seconds later he asked if I wanted it iced or hot. Which I mean happens sometimes so I laughed it off and said iced again and gave him my name for my drink. Then when my drink order came out, it was an iced vanilla latte and not the lavender. I don't usually like to complain and make baristas re make my drinks so I didn't say anything plus they were really busy so I just left but I was disappointed since I was looking forward to the lavender latte. The drink was good but just not what I had wanted. The coffee cake was good though! Moist and seems like it was freshly baked.
