Being a woman, I understand the critical importance of human respect. On November 1, 2025, I…read moredecided to do something out of the ordinary and visit a local adult entertainment venue, Club Cabaret, with my husband. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a troubling situation that revealed much about how leadership, workplace conditions, and basic human dignity intersect. After entering the venue, I went to use the restroom and discovered there was only one bathroom available--for both patrons and the performers. This meant that staff members preparing for their performances were forced to share facilities with the public, creating unnecessary stress and discomfort. I approached the young man at the entrance, who had charged us each $20 for admission, and asked who was in charge. He told me the manager's name was Joe. When I located Joe and inquired whether there was a maintenance person who could address the restroom issue, his response was dismissive and defensive. He questioned my authority to raise the concern, asking which industry I worked in. I explained that I serve in the nonprofit sector and am nearing completion of my master's degree in Organizational Leadership with a certification in Human Resources Management. I shared that, from a leadership and talent management perspective, if he wanted to retain staff, he needed to ensure their working conditions were safe, respectful, and conducive to their well-being. I also took a moment to speak with the women performers directly, letting them know that I saw them--not just as entertainers, but as people with inherent worth and dignity. I reminded them that what they were enduring was not acceptable, and that everyone deserves a workplace grounded in respect and fairness. When I returned to Joe to reiterate the importance of listening to employee concerns, he interrupted and repeatedly told me, "Have a good night," in an attempt to dismiss my perspective entirely. I left the establishment, but I could not leave behind the weight of what I had witnessed. The experience pierced me to my core. It was painful to see how easily these women--sisters, friends, mothers, aunts, perhaps even grandmothers--were treated as though they were undeserving of dignity or decent working conditions. This encounter reaffirmed my belief that leadership without empathy is not leadership at all. No matter the industry, respect is non-negotiable.

I'm in town from Toronto for Thanksgiving weekend and thoroughly enjoying the sights and whatnot of…read moreSmall Town, Murca. My date thought I would like this place and described it as "old school" and I thought I would be amused by it ironically, and I am pretty much game for just about anything. Well what a charming place: The decor is super cool like a retro roadhouse you would see in the movies with posters of 50s style pinup girls on the walls. The bartender was real nice...I don't care what anyone says: Americans are really friendly. We bellied up to the bar $8 for a pitcher of Bud, are you kidding me? How could you go wrong that? At home that would cost 3 times as much. The dancing girls were cornfed (as in wholesome), cute and curvy. They all had names like anime cartoon characters. They danced to Guns N Roses and twerked, it's all about twerking these days...what's not to like? I wish I could twerk but it's harder than it looks! I have a flattish rigid Scandinavian-type ass :( but at least I have the money-making boobs. It turns out my date is a tit man and for a dollar, a girl with a name like Pixie will let you rub your face in hers, motorboat-style. A dollar. You can't even get a donut for a dollar where I'm from. After a pitcher of Bud, who could say no to that? Not I. A belly full of beer and a face full of titties, what could be more American than that?

This place is more like a small dive in bar with some nice dancers that were very welcoming towards…read moreme and did not be all aggressive trying to get me to buy dances. They have pool table at this place too. Drinks here are very affordable so I definitely did not mind tipping the nice bartender. The dances here are pretty decent and can vary on the girl but overall it's a nice place to relax and enjoy yourself with friends or even solo.

The service here is always a toss up every time I visit. I don't know what I'm gonna get. So far…read morethere have been more positive experiences than negative ones. It's your typical adult toy store. Has a great selection of lingerie and other articles of clothing. Although I will admit the options for plus size clothing is limited. (I try to look out for my big people too; they deserve the same amount of options as us smaller people). The selection of all the types of toys is good. Anyone should be able to find something that "floats their boat" here. The price for the products I've purchased here are very fair. However, I would research some of the brands first and remember that you get what you pay for aka the cheapest options may not last long.

They have a great clothing selection for the lingerie and an excellent assortment of toys many things that you would only find online. I live in the Chicago suburbs and I will tell you that the prices on the loops were at least $4 cheaper than the prices in Chicagoland... good value. Then to top it all off the store is perfectly clean and well organized and all the labels are turned in facing outward and all of the products are faced label out. The people that work at this store have some serious OCD. And I love that!
