Halfords is just off the foleshill road in coventry. The…read morestore has a large carpark for about 120 cars. On the same site is also an AA service garage. Here MOT's and other checks are undertaken. Quite handy really being next door. Halfords sell lots of car equipment and replacement parts as well as bikes and touring accessories. So first the car parts, if you need new brake discs, oil or even stone chip repair paint halfords have most manufacturers and models in stock. You can buy replacement wing mirror glass too, oh and any furry or pink accessory you like to brighten up your dash! Steering wheel covers and air freshners, everything you can get here. Halfords also have their own moddifying section too, by Ripspeed. Buy alloys from famous makes like oz and spoiler and neon lighting kits. They also sell bikes and lots of accessories for that too, saddles, handle bar grips, tyres and helmets. They also sell roof racks and bike racks too, so you really can buymost things here, however, this is a big however, Halfords seem to think they can charge the earth for some of their goods. Prices can be extremely high for some items. Which puts the score down a little.

There is limited car spaces out side due to it being on quite a main road. But there are lots of side roads to park down too. Motor world sells lots of different accessories for your car such as wipers, and all the different types of oils too. You can also buy modifying parts as well. This particular shop has a few alloy wheels just through the main door, with different sizes and fitment which are very reasonably priced. The staff are helpful and they do have quite a bit of knowledge to go with it, which is always good to see. They have been through a rough time and it looked as though they entire company would close, but the website is back and running again and all of their shops are open. Which is great to see, i have been in quite a few times and bought quite a bit from them. So im glad they are still open. Can be better than halfords in some respects as they dont charge ridiculous prices. So worht a shot , they did have a great sale on, not sure if its still on but worth checking out.

RH Autoparts - run by Ron Hall and his family - have been a part of the Weoley Castle Square…read morecommunity for as long as I've lived in the area. Autoparts is an independent car parts shop with keen prices and a wide range of stock. They also have an eBay store with a ton of harder to find parts that you're able to access too. What sets it apart from any major chain store nearby is the friendly service from staff. If you're a petrol head who knows what he's doing - they can talk your language. But I'd you're a car dunce (as I am) then Shane, Kevin and the team don't think twice about offering you guidance and helping you fit standard parts such as windscreen wipers and hub caps. Great service! There is free parking outside the store and plenty of free Street parking around the Square too.

The staff all know their stuff and the small store is crammed with stock. If they don't have what you need they will do their best to get it for you as soon as possible. Definitely give them a try before you head to somewhere like Halfords, the prices are competitive and more importantly the staff are friendly and helpful, a rare thing in a car parts shop!

A small shop, it's very reminiscent of what you'd imagine a local village car business of a bygone era would look like, with an endearing sort of cluttered workshop feel about the place. As you'd expect from a shop such as this, the two guys working in there when I went in were both extremely knowledgeable when it came to cars, and were more than happy to talk and give me some free advice. After such great service, I felt obligated to buy something, and although I was extremely wary of the fact that such a small shop may be having to charge very high prices, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the same wipers that I'd found in a large chain store for the same price.

Everything is reasonably priced and John and his team really seem to know their stuff, so even if you don't have a clue about cars, you're bound to wind up finding exactly what you need. Ample off-road parking is available right outside the store and several bus stops are within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble getting there either. The staff are great, the atmosphere inside is pleasant and John's stock is exceptional. If ever you're suffering from car troubles, you really can't go far wrong here.

They offer tyres at really good prices, and there is a separate battery business as well, located at the same site on the Lichfield Road. The interior of the building is old, but that doesn't matter much when you're getting a tyre fitted. What you will appreciate is the old-fashioned courtesy and excellent service. Your car will be in and out in no time, and that annoying task of having to get a new tyre/tyres can be ticked off your to-do list without too much anguish, and without having to shell out too much cash. Customer service is excellent with a knowledgable staff who are always happy to help with tips and advice on anything to do with an engine and two wheels. Bikers World is a popular destination at weekends when it's frequented by the biking fraternity who take advantage of the low prices and the greasy spoon outside offering a tasty bacon butty or full English and a mug of splosh for around three quid.
