WARNING do not buy a car from Alan Cayea at Ellis Automotiv! My wife and I ordered a 2022 Buick Enclave Avenir through Alan on October 28,2021! The car arrived at the dealership on February 28,2022! I told Alan we would pick the car up on Saturday March 5. On Thursday March 3, I went to DMV to get new plates and spent $128.50. On Friday March 4, Alan notified me and said that the running boards weren't in and he expected them the week of March 7. On Saturday March 5, my wife and I traveled 50 miles to Ellis Automotive to see the car! When we arrived, Alan was with another customer so the owner of the dealership, Jason Ellis helped us locate the car. After about 10 minute, he informed us that the car was across the street in the body shop! The right rear passenger door was off the car and was taped up to pain! Alan never told us the car had damag, which is very deceitful. We waited over 4 months for this car and now we are not buying a new damaged car. Since we moved up here (which is not too long ago), we've brought our cars here for different reasons. Here in Malone, they are better known for their car dealership, but they also take in car repair services, oil changing, car detailing and they have a separate building for collision repair. When our old '93 Honda Accord got stripped off its front bumper due to a freak accident, the insurance company told us we could send it to any shop of our choice. Upon recommendation, we brought it to Ellis and only by phone, they told us that they didn't have the part at hand but they would be able to order it. And the gentleman, Bruce is his name, advised me to wait for his call once the bumper was delivered. It took a couple of weeks but when we brought the car in, they had it done right away. And they did a superb job! The car even looked better than it did. We also bring our other cars in for their oil change and depending on how busy they are, they do all right. They do offer to drive you back to your home or office if you have to leave your vehicle for the day (but I've heard that depending on who you are, they would actually come and pick up your vehicle and deliver it back). Only once did we bring in one of our vehicles for a detailing job (because they were cheaper than Honda dealership) and I was so disappointed. I'm very obsessive when it comes to cleaning and I would love to clean the car inside out- if only I had the time. They did such a sloppy job at it. There were watermarks on the doors and windows, the side mirrors weren't even washed or wiped. The mats were not washed and the foot pedals still had mud on them. They missed a lot while vacuuming and worse, apparently they didn't even bother to lift the third row seat and clean the carpet. There were still footprints on them! I was so upset that my husband called them and reported my complaints. In consolation, the manager was apologetic and invited us to bring in our car once again for a do-over. These people are the best!!! We lost a tire on our 2011 GMC Acadia (The 19 inch hard to find ones) on a Saturday afternoon when all the tire places that might have had one were all closed. Just when it seemed that we would not be able to get a tire until Monday, the helpful owner found a tire that had been special ordered.
