Need a lawyer to create your living trust? Then hire this man…read more I hope what follows will help you, the reader, to make a timely and smart decision followed up by action. The short version of this review has two points. One, setting up a living trust and all that goes along with it (e.g., a pour of will, power of attorney, advance care directive) is one of the kindest things you can do for yourself and the people you care about. Everyone who I've talked to who has set one up talks about the feeling of relief it brings knowing they've set up a legally binding system to manage their affairs when they're gone or incapacitated. Not a fun topic, I know, and that is one of the reasons it took me so long to get my trust completed. I first heard of Mr. Padilla in September of 2018, having been referred to him by a close colleague of mine that I had known for nearly thirty years. She raved about Mr. Padilla and about the sense of relief she felt, knowing that all of her affairs were in order. After our talk, I promised that I'd contact Mr. Padilla right away. Flash forward to July of 2019, and another close colleague of mine had finished her trust with Mr. Padilla. She also expressed her gratitude for his work and the feeling of relief and peace of mind she now felt, knowing that her estate would transfer smoothly to her son in the future. This time I did contact Mr. Padilla. He was warm and professional and followed up immediately with the initial paperwork to move the process forward. And what happened next? I became overwhelmed and perfectionistic about my approach to completing the intake form. Flash forward to 2020. By then, both of my parents had passed away. They had a will, not a living trust, and it took nearly two years to resolve the details of their estate completely. Thank God I have a sister with an MBA who took on the project, and it was a project to deal with all of the legal and bureaucratic details of probate. I realized that I would never put the people I loved through that mess. So I on November 1 of 2020, I contacted Mr. Padilla again. I apologized for my on-again-off-again process and stated that I wanted to be done with my living will before the end of the year. He once again graciously took me on as a client, and by December 12, I had my living trust completed and notarized. What a relief. I feel so much better!! I now feel at peace knowing that the people I love and care about will be taken care of properly when I'm no longer in a position to do it myself. I still have to complete the process of moving my asset into the trust, but I plan to be finished with that in the next two months. Throughout this process, Mr. Padilla was patient and accommodating. During our consultations he broke down the many pieces of the trust into small digestible pieces. The product was a clear and precise legal document that stated what I wanted to be done with my estate and me when I am not in a position to tell people in person. I'd be lying if I said that it was a fun process. But Mr. Padilla got me through it quickly once I was really ready to do the work. So if you need a trust or similar legal service, Mr. Padilla is to see.

Last September (2016), my soon-to-be former wife ran off with our infant son (the only one we had…read moretogether in our short, 3 year marriage), falsely accused me of domestic violence, and filed a restraining order against me. The "charges" were complete fabrications and lies in order to slander me and circumvent the legal process to ultimately gain complete and total custody of our son. She retained what was supposed to be a "reputable", well-known (and expensive) attorney from the Mission Valley area, so I needed good legal counsel too, and fast. As the father of 4 other children, I knew what was going on and needed legal counsel that would be savvy enough to help defend me of the false DV charges and help me get my son back. So I did what many people do in these situations and jumped on the internet to look around for an attorney, then entered my information on a website, and Ross Veta contacted me almost immediately. Let me just say I couldn't have asked for a better attorney than Ross. He is a calm, cool, collected attorney who is savvy, knows what to do, and has a friendly, likable demeanor that you don't see in the legal profession. He always showed up in court dressed impeccably, with a smile on his face, was ready to go (prepared), and always put me at ease. In the end, the domestic violence charges and restraining orders were not only summarily DENIED, but I managed to get 50 percent custody of my son. And the real kicker is, Ross Veta also managed to get my legal costs reimbursed from the DV / RO charges, something that's almost unheard of. Needless to say, I filed for divorce just before the DV / RO hearing, so of course I'm using Ross to go through the process of divorcing this narcissistic woman. and have full faith that Ross will get me through this as well. Again, Ross is one-in-a-million and will help you get through what is usually one of the most unpleasant, stressful experiences in your life. Well done Ross, and big thanks!

Ross was very helpful and informative over the phone during our consultation and I may not be using…read morethem in the near future because I decided not to purchase the investment property I looked at but I will most likely use his firm in the future for real estate legal transactional law.
