I almost fell on my butt trying walking on the side walk. It was well after the city demands snow to be removed from sidewalks. I have gotten nothing back but threatening emails and harassment from the property manager Laurie. Completely unprofessional. Never an apology or statement saying they will do better. Just harassment and threats. Like that she has informed the city about me. Good cause I complained to the city about them. I never sent any sort of harassing email to her and was simply concerned of a property management company not meeting the civic duties. As well as the possible chance that the elderly or young would slip and seriously injure themselves. Stay away from this company at all cost. She has a superiority complex and clearly should be working with the public. I guess that is what happens when the tenancy rate is 1 percent and she feels she can talk down to anyone.

It has been months since we moved out and we couldn't be happier with our new living situation. However, we still think about the awful experience daily. The unprofessionalism conducted by the building manager was on the verge of unbelievable. Throughout our years at the location we heard countless occasions where the manager was yelling and screaming at tenants. Our experience upon moving-out found us in the exact same situation, and we were prepared for the coming fight! We did everything within our means to make it a smooth process for everyone without any altercations. I found myself getting screamed at by the manager because she was incapable of having a conversation with another person. We never met a single tenant that had a good experience with the building management. We never had a single complaint, rent was always paid on time, and we always conducted ourselves in a respectful/quiet manner. To be treated like this was absolutely unacceptable and completely unprofessional. Avoid at ALL cost! If I hadn't done my research on tenants rights and regulations for BC I have NO doubt we would have been scammed and cheated out of our damage deposit.

I believe the first most important quality when looking for and considering in a realtor agent is…read morecommunication and professional conduct. Full stop. This is not what my experience with Thomas Hu has been. It's an old house. The assessment value is 799k. A stretch at best. I knew that. ( Has been a rental property for years ) It's obvious. His insightful advice to repair and repaint was no surprise. On the first conversation, it was made clear I don't have the capital to renovate the whole house. New kitchen, floors, etc. Doing our best. New carpet, paint, tub & bathroom accessories, fixtures, yard work ect. I knew and communicated these facts. Thomas made me feel I was working for him. Infact, he told me that selling my home for less than 799k wasn't worth his time (weeks after he was at the location...weeks after our consultation ). .... Actually, I'm ok with that if he told me six weeks before our first consultation at the house, leading me to believe he's my agent. My guy. He talked, happy, good handshake.... I take some responsibility. He never offered a contract to sell the house. I was negotiating on service and commission. I think that's common? If not explain to me why. You are the professional. Maybe I was asking to much (?).I did mention that I had spoken to a discount realtor ( 1% Realtor). After a missed phone call appointment, Thomas ( he slept in for our 10:00 appointment that he missed), explained it's only a 6k difference. Only 6k, and if there were selling issues or complications, paying the 6k extra in commission is worth it. When we did finally talk, he wasn't interested in posting a "Coming Soon" sign while we do the reno's. I assumed Thomas was still looking after our interests. He did show the house to a client and offered to double represent. He asked if that would be ok ? Sure.... "Hey if you can sell it, absolutely". In short, there was very little communication, un answer emails, unanswered or long awaited replies to questions, knowledgeable advice, a feeling of support, concerns about our well being, the attention to detail and the professionalism one would expect. I welcome any dispute in my review of Thomas Hu.
