It was just okay overall. There were plenty of tables and no wait at all on a Saturday at 1pm. The appetizer sampler was good, especially the onion rings and egg rolls, which were the best part. The Caesar crunchwrap tasted good but felt a bit heavy. The kids breakfast was perfect, though. The milkshakes were definitely over the top but in a fun way and big enough for all 7 of us to share. The place was clean and staff were fine.

We decided to try this restaurant as it's new and close to our home. As we walked in on a Sunday afternoon we were surprisingly seated quickly. Ordered an appetizer and two entrees. My wife's food was very good, mine was ok - (the lamb was a bit too salty on the gyro and too crispy for my taste). However their onion rings were amazing. The portion size was off the charts. They even also brought us two 'on the house' donuts which were delicious. The restaurant isn't huge but had a nice open layout with good space between tables. Thanks to Miguel our waiter who made sure we had what we needed at our table. Would we go back, yes we would recommend however I would try something different.

We saw a reel on fb and had to try it. We booked a room and made the 4hr drive the next night. It was 100% worth it. We sat near the kitchen so we got to see all the amazing concoction coming out. The serving sizes were huge and delicious. Were trying to figure out if we have time to grab breakfast before we hit the road to drive home. We've already told a bunch of people at home they need to take the trip w us next time. Im kind of glad its a 4hr drive away other wise I wouldnt fit through the door. They said the specials are always changing and I would want to try them all all. Update... We came for breakfast. We were super bummed at first to find out one of the things from the reel was a special not currently on the menu but they made it happen! They went above and beyond took the pic to the chef and he made it. Not only is the food delicious and photo worthy where else would they actually make something for you got on the menu. We will definitely make the ride again.

Very solid diner, it's just pricey, even for the regular, non-crazy food. We ordered the crispy chicken wrap, which had avocado and bacon in it among other things, and a kids mac and cheese. The wrap came out to $22 with curly fries, which felt a bit steep. The ambiance is fun and modern inside, but the booths aren't that comfortable. Someone behind me kept bumping me from behind. Great servers and had a nice time. I'd probably come back for some of the outrageous eats with family or friends but not for a normal meal.

I'll start to say that we didn't order any of the wild dishes that they are more well known for. We ordered pretty standard food, but I will say the portion sizes were great and all the food was delicious. The staff was very nice and attentive. They brought us some of their house made donuts near the end of the meal on the house. I imagine they were maybe making a new batch and had leftovers (I saw them taking some donuts to another table too). Or maybe it was because we went with the small child and they thought it would be nice for her. Either way, it was very nice. The decor and atmosphere is really nice. I really enjoyed the vibe. They definitely have some epic dishes on their menu that I think we will come back to try on a day when we don't have a young kid in tow. It's definitely meant more for adults than children, although kids aren't out of place there. We had the souvlaki platter, the grains and greens salad bowl, and the kids Mac and cheese. Everything was just really good. Very filling, very homey, and large portions at a good price point. The donuts were the cakey homemade ones with cinnamon sugar and they were perfect. Overall, would definitely come back. Definitely want to try some of their more creative and bonkers menu items.

Cool, relaxed atmosphere. The staff had energy and made a good espresso martini. The chicken cheeseburger was a piled high, delicious nap starter. There is a bunch of crazy menu items that I will need to come back and try.

The milkshakes is water down not as thick as i expected, guess they didn't add icecream. It's like drinking sugar water with artificial strawberries flavor. ............Tried the one at Sherwood diner which is so much better. We ordered two Steak & egg , both steaks came out well done when asked for medium rare, the home fries don't taste good at all. Our sever doesn't seems to care, idk just the feeling... after we mentioned the steak was not done right, we didn't get any reaction back.. oh well... The curly fries is way too salty......so, conclusion it's bad quality and overpriced for this level. I tried blueberry waffle (didn't bother to take any picture anymore, waffle is too mushy, no flavor, only ate a quarter of it. I brought my family over to try because of all the nice reviews, walking out disappointed.

Have been to the sister location before and decided to try this location out. It's located in a plaza that's pretty set back and you will miss it If you are not careful. Staff was super attentive Good came out fast but was pretty highly priced 6 wings came out to 15.00 while the wings were good and had great flavor that price is steep. The French toast was a huge portion and packed with yummy goodness The corned beef was ok it didn't taste homemade though (the menu you said homemade that's why I chose it) They take credit card and tip minimum option is 18 percent and then goes up from there (what happened to 15 percent) you can customize your own tip amt too Parking is street or garage Stamford location in our opinion is better

My family and I were able to snag a table ahead of the lunch rush. The menu is certainly quite innovative, and the pics on Yelp helped us narrow down our best options. The Brunch Crunch Wrap was definitely the most interesting and really tasty. Definitely use the dipping sauce. My breakfast burger was pretty average but large. Service was a bit on the slower side, but the fun bustle of an upscale diner kept our conversation going.

Today, I decided to do a daring order on UberEats and finally get around to trying out Elm Street Diner. I've been meaning to give this place a try ever since I first learned about their Stamford location on DevourPowerTV's YouTube shorts, and especially after I learned they were opening up a location here in Norwalk! I actually almost went on their first Friday night, but I didn't want to be walking into a crowded space with a big backpack full of stuff. If I had gone that night, my review of this place would have been posted right there and then. So I had ordered up the Chicken Mozzarella Vodka Melt with Waffle Fries, and I was also supposed to get a Chocolate Shake to go along with it. That being said, I understand how stacked those milkshakes get, so I will not be holding anyone responsible for not getting the drink. I work 7 miles away in Wilton, so I get it is a big ask to deliver one of these to the next town over. I still want to try one in the future though. Now onto the food I got. I took these photos at work, but don't let the fact you have an aluminum bowl for this bowl fool you! These portions sizes are generous and will certainly hit the spot! The waffle fries are crack they are so addictive! The way they are seasoned is worth getting these alone. They go even better if you're out having a picnic and decided to bring this for lunch. As for the sandwich itself, they put in a chicken cutlet, a few mozzarella sticks, a healthy amount of vodka sauce, and of course I added bacon. Seriously, you'll love this sandwich! Oh, and I love how on my bag it says "Have a Great Day!" The fact they handwritten this tells me that customer service is at least something Elm Street Diner cares about. It's cute and very much appreciated, especially in times like these. Really, I only give this 4 stars and not 5 because I want to be able to give this restaurant a proper visit and try more of their items. If food keeps being this good and I get good in-person service, I'll gladly bump this up to a 5! That said, I will definitely order from here again!

I've been to the Stamford location a few times but this was my first time at this location. This location had a beautiful entrance with flowers and a fountain. The restaurant has the same spectacular comfort foods that are totally instagrammable and delicious. The staff is efficient and patient which is helpful because their menu can be very overwhelming.

My…read moreserver was very polite and the free parking lot in back was easy but it was not my favorite diner experience of the year. Inside is fairly small but the tables are large and can host groups up to six per table. They do have a giant menu filled with all sorts of options, some of them are pretty crazy, especially the influencer section of the menu. I started off with a cup of the chili and wasn't a huge fan of it. It tasted more like the Cincinnati chili and had a large amount of oil. For my entrée, I chose the cheesesteak and was hoping it was going to be like a traditional Philly style, but it wasn't quite. I liked it more than the chili but still made me wish that I ordered a tuna melt or something else. I would give it a try again on a future visit but would want to try it again before I recommend.

Today was the first time we've eaten here in years. We were seated immediately but we waited more than 40 minutes for the food to come. We watched people leave because they could not wait for their food any longer. At first, I thought a chef must have called out. When our food finally came, I was forced to look at the most unappealing home fries that were molded to the plastic container they were stored in. At least try to make them look fresh bru. And the whole restaurant was cold. I was cold. The food was cold. This place should be called COLD Street Diner, am I right? And the coffee refill came like once. In the whole hour and a half we were there. The only times someone would walk by was to clear a table, or that guy idk who he is idk if he's the owner but he was wearing balenciaga sweatpants and then he would just go stand by the register to sip on some wine. My mother ordered the huevos rancheros and they were bland asl. I ordered the birria omelette and it was BLAND EVERYTHING WAS BLAND!!! The birria was just wet it didn't taste like anything bro. We haven't been to the Norwalk location but a lady sitting next to us noticed that we weren't happy with our food and she was speculating that all the good cooks got transferred there. Whether it's the cooks to blame, or the fact that it's a busy Saturday, it's safe to say we will not be coming back.

"I'll go back to the diner I'll write another letter…read moreI hope you'll read it this time" (Billie Eilish) I kind of laughed when our server brought over our menus. They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !

Damn what a night this has been!…read more So a friend and I decided to come eat here after going to a funeral visitation for a co-worker. It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.

(Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Food: Trix latte w/ whole milk (seasonal): [4/5] Tastes like a bowl of cereal from a cup. Topped with whipped cream it's really delicious! Tastes like a cup of childhood. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. Service: [5/5] Fast and efficient service! The restaurant works as a team. One man sat me, The middle eastern girl with the long sleeve black shirt took my order and checked on me, and the white boy with the arm tattoos and pen between his ear checked on me at times, and cleaned my table while the girl was busy. After they became aware of the availability of a large space restaurant in the city of Norwalk, the restaurant migrated to its present spot. LOCATION: The restaurant is in a lively location, with a movie theater across the street and a convenient parking lot in the back. ATMOSPHERE: The space, which is divided by walls into three dining areas, has a "shabby chic" aesthetic and is lit by tall and wide paned industrial windows. EXPERIENCE: I've visited for brunch and Happy Hour with friends who live or work in Norwalk. Chef Taibe is creative and skillful, and I'm forever impressed by the dishes he serves. As a result, it comes as no surprise that the restaurant was recognized as best in Fairfield County during the Connecticut Restaurant Association's 2023 Crazies award ceremony. (Chef Taibe was finalist for best chef in all of the state the very same year.) The pimento cheese starter topped with Benton ham jam (happy hour/dinner) and smoked brisket hash (brunch) highlight how Chef Jeff Taibe transforms and elevates common menu items into ones that are memorable and crave-inducing.
