This was our second time at Eloise and it is a really lovely place in Wayzata. The decor is gorgeous and creates an inviting environment that is warm, elegant and welcoming. We had cocktails to start and they were crafted well and delicious. I had the pink 75 and it was not overly sweet but was refreshing. We started with the Parker house rolls, shrimp cocktail and the onion and caviar dip. Very tasty and I would order again. The soup with lobster was especially good as was the cavatelli. We had the bananas foster for dessert and could have licked the dish clean! We also had the grasshopper and pink lady which were a fun treat. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here last night. From the hostess to our server, Connor, and the rest of the staff, everyone was friendly and attentive. Connor answered all of our questions about the menu, and when we inquired about a specific bottle of wine, he brought it to our table so we could take a closer look. I appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile. The food was excellent. We started with the Parker House rolls, which I will not soon forget. I only wish I could have taken a dozen home with me! We also shared the Caesar salad. For our entrées, we had the roast chicken and the beef tenderloin, both of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sadly, we didn't have room for dessert, but the Bananas Foster our neighboring table was enjoying looked spectacular. Perhaps next time I'll save room. The only downside is that it does get quite loud as the restaurant gets busy. On my next trip to the Minneapolis area, I'll certainly be back. read more

we came to eloise for a girls night and were immediately impressed by the beautiful colorful decor. very inviting entrance with cozy seating and a fair amount of bar space. apps: we LOVED the burrata tartine and bacon wrapped dates. entrees: the seared miso cod and braised lamb shoulder were excellent. the eloise burger wasnt our favorite.. would not order that again. sides: fries were solid. grilled broccolini was good but nothing i'd run back for. drinks: rosemary gimlet and cucumber gin fizz were delicious - would order again! our server was lovely and honest. overall a great spot if youre in the wayzata area! read more

Enjoyed a Friday night girls dinner at this new-ish spot in Wayzata. I adore Grocer's Table so had high hopes for Eloise. It's a cute smaller spot with intimate vibes - great for a date night or girls night. We shared the bacon wrapped dates (the chorizo as part of it was so unique and so so good) and burrata which we loved both dishes. We each got the burger, cod, and lamb and the cod and lamb stole the show. The burger was good, but not as good as the other items. The cocktails were also tasty. read more

We came here for Valentine's dinner and the experience was truly memorable. The interior her is giving old Hollywood glamour meets 1920s speakeasy. It's the kind of space where you want to get dressed up just to sit in it. Truly one of the most beautifully designed dining rooms in the Twin Cities. The staff was also really helpful when it came to navigating gluten and dairy preferences, which I always appreciate. Good cocktail options and great presentation in nice glassware. The Parker House rolls were the clear table favorite, served with three different spreads that were all worth trying. The Brussels sprouts were divine and the beef tenderloin was good, though the portion felt a little small for the price. The short rib special was amazing, but they weren't able to substitute the potatoes for a gluten free option, which meant the dish came out incomplete at full cost. Our waitress was apologetic and lovely about it, but it's not a great touch for a restaurant that otherwise does a nice job acknowledging dietary needs. The Eloise sundae is an absolute must. I took myself out on a solo date here and had a wonderful time! The service was friendly and the vibe/atmosphere of the restaurant was great. I started with the jamon croquettes and they were delicious, but my favorite thing of the night was the ahi tuna crudo. The flavors of yuzu ponzu and jalapeño worked perfectly with the tuna and i loved the texture that the puffed rice added. I enjoyed the dungeness crab spaghetti as well, the salmon roe really elevated the dish! The drinks here are strong and made well, i was a big fan of the espresso martini and loved how it came with a piece of biscotti! Dessert was also solid, the buttermilk sea salt ice cream was great! Had a dinner date with a friend here and it was so charming. The bartender was great and it is so cute and cozy inside. We ordered off the bar menu which was perfect for sharing. The gnocchi was my favorite! We visited on a Tuesday and it was easy to get a spot at the bar, but really filled up by the time we left. Love that there is easy parking next to the building. Stopped in for a drink on a Thursday evening, place was pretty full. Hosts were wonderful and provided great service, got us a standing table in the bar and took our winter coats to hang them up elsewhere. Didn't eat anything on this trip but the menu looked interesting, liked the global influence on the dishes. Be prepared for Wayzata pricing on everything. We got two Oaxaca Candy Canes, a tequila based holiday riff on the classic espresso martini. It was well balanced and delicious. Loved the peppermint biscotti on top. Went here on a date night to one of the newest restaurants in Wayzata, near Grocer's table. Good atmosphere and service. Both entrees were good, I was most impressed impressed by the seared pork, with a delicious marinade. Grilled Shawarma had interesting spices as well. Parker House Rolls were the star of the show, I feel like every restaurant should do something like this. Last Thursday we went to Eloise at 7pm. Not all the tables were seated. There seemed to be adequate staff at the time. It took 30 mns to get a drink order, 45 to get food ordered, 20 mns after dinner to get a bill and another 20 mns to have someone take the payment. I don't mind dinning and not being rushed but this bordered on ridiculous. There were 4 of us and we each tried different dishes. The chicken and black cod were good. The pasta looked like it was out of a can and very over sauced without much pasta. It was quite dark inside and perhaps that is why this meal was average for such high prices, and no one was able to see us for service. My vote is stick with 6Smith! Unless there are at least 20 great reviews after this post, I won't be returning.... read more

Amazing experience! From the service, to the bar, to the food. Everything was on point. Even the decor was thoughtfully chosen to keep noise down in the restaurant. We were very excited to hear that the team behind Grocer's Table was opening a restaurant next door with elevated food and cocktails, and had been impatiently awaiting it's opening. After dining at Eloise tonight, I'm sad to say that while the interior is beautiful and sophisticated, and the service was wonderful, the food left much to be desired, especially given the high price point. The meal began with complimentary nuts and olives. They were good, but it was a very small portion for three people. Next up, we tried the charcuterie board which was ok, but nothing to rave about and we wouldn't order it again. The cracker to charcuterie ratio was definitely off. For dinner, we ordered two Wagyu Meatloaf Wellingtons and the Dungeness Crab Spaghetti alla Chitarra. We were very excited about the wellingtons as we are always on the hunt for the best wellington in the Twin Cities.... these were not it. While aspects of the wellingtons were tasty (the side of tomato jam was wonderfully flavorful as was the duxelle cream), the actual wagu meatloaf wellington was, I am disappointed to say, extremely underwhelming and practically flavorless. The decision to make the wellington have a meatloaf consistency we all thought was a mistake as it was essentially just bland mush. It hurts me to review a wellington so poorly, but it did not live up to expectations. As for the Dungeness Crab Spaghetti alla Chitarra: 1 out of 3 of us enjoyed it. It was way too salty and fishy (not in a good way) for me. I couldn't eat more than a bite. Now for something positive: the warm sticky toffee cake was quite lovely. I wish there had been a little bit more caramel, but otherwise zero complaints! I really wanted to love Eloise, but for the high price point and the mediocre food, I can't see going back soon. read more

Super cute new spot in Wayzata! Sister restaurant of Grocers Table in the old Lulu Lemon pop up. We walked in for a table on a Friday night and waited a little over an hour, however, we were able to have drinks while we waited. They did have some earlier reservations available same day but timing didn't work for us. We sat at the bar which was nice and service was quick! They gave us small bites to start (candied nuts and olives) and we started with the beef carpaccio and grilled oysters. Both good but nothing extraordinary. For dinner we got the agnolotti pasta and chicken entrees. Great flavors and the entrees were a good size! The menu here is quite small so will be interesting to see if they change things up often. Very gorgeous ambience and a nice addition to Wayzata. The starters : date stuffed with sausage wrapped in bacon were rich and interesting, but only served four dates for $19; the Parker house rolls were very warm and lovely, but the butters were slightly odd and would have enjoyed getting a plain butter as well as the flavored butters. Additionally, it would've been nice to have the butters re-explained to us at the time they were placed on the table. The duck confit was a giant serving and also would've benefited from a re-explanation at the time of serving. It was Rich and interesting. Mains: the Wagyu Wellington was amazing with homemade catchup - the table favorite but plated oddly placed on a small plate. chicken Shawarma was a generous portion and had delicious cinnamon/cardomen flavor imbued. The squash Anglonotti was delicious. The crab spaghetti however was terrible - very fishy. Dessert: previewed on a cart, very old school, but helpful to know what you are getting into: the toffee cake was as delicious as you can imagine, interestingly made with dates. The flourless chocolate torte was a huge hit, very rich and brownie like. Service: We were seated at a table close to the door, which was chilly even with a reservation made well in advance and an uncrowded time being seated at 5:45pm, would recommend requesting a booth. The atmosphere got very loud and the wait staff persisted in talking in very quiet tones of voice - we are not old btw!. Our waiter was very nice but seemed very nervous/new. I'm honestly so surprised that this restaurant is currently only 4.2 stars. We tried so many things on the menu (came with a group of 8). There wasn't a thing we didn't like. We sat in the back left corner, which was perfect because my dad has hearing aids. He commented how much he appreciated all of the soft surfaces to absorb sound so that he could actually partake in conversation. Our favorite small plates were the salmon tartare and beef carpaccio. Bread rolls were great too (who doesn't like bread?!) The chicken shawarma took the cake for the best large plate. We also enjoyed the meatloaf Wellington. We had a long discussion with our waiter about the meatloaf because some people see Wellington and they immediately think beef - - this is more of a meatloaf (as it suggested in the name of the dish) so if you don't like the texture of meatloaf, don't order. The decor/ambiance is pretty amazing, they did a great job on the build. Only gripe is the air vents over the back booth froze two of us so they need to be blocked or shielded. Olives and nuts to start are a nice bonus. I had the short rib special which was perfect and needs to be added to the regular menu, very tender and tasty. Parking is easy because there's a little ramp right across the street. The place was a little hard to find- Google Maps takes you to Grocer's Table. It's actually around the corner past that and NOT where the map says it is. The wooden symbol that marks the restaurant is too discreet so took me a few minutes to hunt down. The ambiance is very cute- vintage with a little feminine touch and date night feel. Our service was great! Three of us ordered our own 'bite' (I had two deviled eggs which had a great pack of flavor), shared the salmon tartare (good flavor and touch of spice from what I think was the Dijon Mayo), entree (I had the Crab Spaghetti alla chittara which was amazing!! Another friend got the agnolotti which had a perfected pasta shell and sauce, another got the trout which was orange like salmon but just a little less fishy but cooked tender with greens) and we shared sides (fries had a great crisp with a bearnaise aioli, beets were flavorful) and all shared the toffee cake with salted caramel buttermilk ice cream. I'm really surprised this place wasn't closer to five stars. I'd go back again tomorrow and try another few things on the menu (in addition to getting the crab spaghetti again)!! read more

9/24/2025: First, I didn't dine at Eloise. I stopped in just after opening (4:05 PM) to take a look at the restaurant because my wife suggested I do. The hostess greeted me and asked if I was looking for a table. I said I just wanted to "check out the place" to which she asked if I would like to make a future reservation. I said no thank you. I inquired about the cuisine, and she handed me the menu and began to describe the style of food in detail and that it would be changing to the Fall Menu in mid-October with some new dishes and some dishes remaining. She also provided details about the happy hour and general hours of operations, ending the conversation by handing me the restaurant's business card. I say all this because if I owned this restaurant, this is the type of person I would want in the front of the house. She was polite, pleasant, knowledgeable and promoted the restaurant without being annoying. And I walked in wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Eloise is located in the former LULULEMON pop up. The transformation is remarkable. This restaurant is beautiful. Like I want to steal the lamps on the bar beautiful! We sat down in this lovely two person banquette. Our server LEXI was awesome from start to finish. I had a great glass of wine. Every table is served a dish of olives and spiced nuts. A lovely touch. We split the salmon tartare which was perfect. My friend had the agnolotti which she loved. I had the chicken which was a large portion ( I have lunch today) and so yummy! Like the perfect restaurant crave dish! Then of course we shared the cookie plate. Those were amazing chocolate chip cookies. Wayzata is lucky to have this fabulous addition. One of the most beautifully decorated restaurants in the Twin Cities. Lighting, lush mix of materials, and layout are what make this spot exquisite. The food and drink did not dissappoint either. My friend and I were so excited to try this place. There was an issue with the reservation, so we sat at the bar. It was incredibly tight. The overall ambiance and decor is elegant and moody. Definitely a cute aesthetic for a sexy date night. Back to the bar - it was incredibly tight. We were there right when they opened (5pm) so we asked if we could sit at a table. They told us they were fully booked for reservations. All but 2 tables were empty. While enjoying our drinks at the bar, we went to their website to grab a reservation at a table for a later date. Turns out they had tables available every 15 minutes for the entire evening. We snagged a reservation and went to the host stand to tell them we had a reservation. They said it was "impossible" and they "couldn't find it" and they were "fully booked." I showed them my confirmation email and they seated us at a table. For the two hours we were there, half of the restaurant remained empty. The hostesses were not the most friendly people. It's as if they couldn't be bothered to have us at their restaurant. It was off-putting - hence the low rating. The dinner service was excellent. We recognized some of the staff from the recently-closed restaurant Campiello. They were so friendly and that was the best part of our experience. The wait staff were incredibly attentive. Let's get into the food: Sturgeon Caviar: 4/5. Bite-sized, easy. My friend and I love caviar, so it was nice having it all put together for the perfect bite. We made sure to get a glass of champagne to accompany our bites! Parker House Rolls: 5/5. Every meal needs bread. These rolls with the 3 butters are perfect to get dinner started. They're served warm, and each bite is fluffy and delicious. My favorite thing on the menu. Pan Seared Steelhead Trout: 2.5/5. Very unremarkable. I wish this dish had more. It left a lot to be desired. But the trout was cooked to perfection. Grilled Shawarma Spiced Chicken: 2/5. The lack of flavor in this dish was shocking. I expected this dish to be full of flavor since it has "spiced" in its name. The flavor was incredibly lacking. The best parts were the couscous and the salad. The yogurt cooled the dish down quickly and dampened whatever "spice" was in the dish. Bananas Foster: 3/5. It was nice being able to light it and be apart of the experience, but the person who brought it out was a little discombobulated. They were spilling things on the table left and right. Maybe they were stressed? Not sure. But the dessert was good. Not the best and not the worst. This place definitely needs to work out a few kinks and front of house staff could be a little more inviting. Would consider trying this place again and will update my review if I do. read more

Eloise is excellent! I've been wanting to go here for a while and I saw some reviews were a bit wonky but I had to see for myself. The shawarma chicken is AMAZING 10/10. All the flavors pair so well together. It is perfectly seasoned. I loved all the nuts and raisins with the couscous! Pro tip: squeeze the lemon on the chicken. Eloise is truly a steal, I had a drink , appetizer and my main entree for $84 bucks and I was so full. I couldn't even have my own dessert but I still managed to sneak a bite from my friend who had their pistachio creme brûlée which was to die for. Service was good and the ambiance is what you would expect from a restaurant in Wayzata. Book your reservation asap! read more

Food was disappointing across the board. We started with the bacon-wrapped dates. They came out within 30 seconds of being ordered - even our server couldn't believe how fast it was. They were lukewarm and quite dense, as though they were not freshly prepared. Our next course was the Parker House Rolls with three butters and the pear salad. The rolls were fresh baked and hot, which was nice, but they were far too dense for a traditional Parker House roll. The rolls also stuck to the bottom of the cute cast iron dish they were baked in. The three butters were tasteless and we could hardly distinguish one from the next. The pear salad was nice, save for the disgusting fried cheese disc that was on the top - overpoweringly pungent. Our main was the Wagyu Meatloaf Wellington and the Lions Mane mushrooms. The Wellington was over-salted and ratio of meat to pastry was way off (too much pastry). The pastry had a solid crust on top that was difficult to cut through without mashing the meatloaf inside. The mushrooms were meh...fairly flavorless. Our server was pleasant overall, but had a few misses when it came to clearing plates and replacing utensils between our starters and our mains. I had really high hopes for this new place, as the menu reads phenomenal and we always had great experience at The Grocers Table next door. Not sure we'd give Eloise another try, and hoping The Grocers Table still shines now that it recently opened back up. read more

This place was great. Erin and Elijah took care of us and the food was fantastic. We were expecting to be disappointed because the rest of the neighborhood looked like it served cardboard tacos and the locals rolled their Rs when they ordered margaritas, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was perfectly executed and the service was great. A glass of the Cote du Rhône pulled everything together. Some guys next to us were definitely evading their taxes but other than that everything was on the up and up. Some of the reviews on here need to lower their expectations in general.
