That's never happened to me in sixteen+ years of ordering drinks at both reputable and disreputable watering holes around the world. I would like to know what even the policy behind this is - do two watered-down airport beers at $9 a pop really get people so out of control it becomes a problem? Was it something else like I had a stupid haircut or hadn't shaved because of sitting shiva? Or was the bartender just a miserable beer wench unhappy with the choices she had made in life? The inside bar is small, and the outdoor seating is good sized. Prices were not crazy high, and they do offer food. FYI: Parking is street, and can be a bit tough since the area is heavily populated.
