The best part is that the prices are not much more for most products than getting them online! Once you take shipping in to account, you might only pay a few euro more for many items and in some cases they are cheaper here than online. I spent €1455 there on completing our scuba kits and got a small discount to bring it down to an even €1400, something you can't get online usually. The owner is very knowledgeable as you would expect. He gave me a demo of my new regulators as every model can be different and have quirks.

The…read morekayaking experience was fun, easy and we were able to get beautiful pictures (and awesome memories!). This experience is great for families, friends, couples, even solo! You get about 2 hours to explore a nice stretch of the Liffey (from Capel Street Bridge to the Samuel Beckett Bridge). Someone from the company is always at hand (they cruise around on a motor boat) if you need any help, but you're left up to your own devices, so you can enjoy the views, get a bit of a workout, float for a while, take some great pics and even interact with people on the bridges. Great fun! Highly recommended. The price is more than fair (€25 pp), the staff was responsive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the process (from booking to kayaking) was a breeze .

Loved this little jaunt down the river with City Kayaking…read more It's so wonderful to see Dublin from an entirely new perspective, and that's what you get in spades when you kayak down the Liffey with these guys. You see snippets of views you've never seen before, framed in ways that make you rethink entirely particular areas around the river. You are also more likely to look up a lot which give you this most amazing view of the tops of the buildings that line the Liffey - they are old and grand and beautiful, unlike many of the shopfronts down on the ground floor, and this realisation alone was worth the trip for. On a practical level, the equipment is all top notch, the location is perfectly central, the price is decent, and the guide was just the most positive guy, bursting with enthusiasm, and a pleasure to be around. We did the evening kayak which is an hour and a half long - just about a perfect length. For me personally, I was over the rowing a little before this...!! But that's due to my short attention span and slightly overzealous tide! Highly recommended.

I so wanted to go out here to day! so i set off for the bus stop, (the 75 gets you out to Dun…read moreLaoghaire) and i stood at the stop for over half an hour beforei realised i had not seen one bus pass by not to mind the 75! i think they were all cancelled because of the small bit of snow we had, boo to you dublinbus! anyway i was very disappointed because its a lovely fresh crisp day and a walk along the lesser used pierin Dun Laoghaire would have been perfect today. yes it would have been cold but walking quickly would have warmed you up! This is a great pier to walk along because its less used than the east pier, there are no people to pass out or children running around (sometimes you think the kids on the other pier are going to run off the edgeinto the freezing water, where are their parents!) and everyone on the pier seems to be down with the serious business of getting to the end of the pier and back again. yes the ground is alot more uneven on this pier and yes teddys icecream is further away (even desirable on a day like today) and finally yes there is no cool weather station to look at but i think that this is the pier to be on if your up for a proper walk with a friend or if you want to be alone with your thoughts!

The river runs through the center of Dublin extending from the north to the south. Residences and eateries are plentiful on both sides of the river. Basically, this was a hotspot for our guided tour itinerary, but the experience was not too entertaining - see it once and done.

There are a bunch of bridges, some are for cars, some for pedestrians only, some only for trains. Early in the morning when the river is still and reflective, there are some amazing photographs available. Ha'Penny Bridge, Custom House, the Cathedral and more. I was up by Heuston Station where there are e-bikes and shopping trolleys in the riverbed. They're covered up as the tide comes in. Check the tide charts before you schedule a kayak tour!
