They had little people who ran amok unsupervised in nothing but diapers/swimsuits and life jackets and the screamed the blood-curdling scream of death every 30 secs. This wasn't typical little kids playing. It was high-pitched screeching and none of the parents did anything to curb this behavior. On top of that, these small children were left unsupervised while using the docks, swimming platforms and kayaks. When it was mentioned to the manager, he was okay with it because they were friends of the parents. This sort of behavior is simply not cool no matter who you're friends with. Here are some good things to share: the cabins were small but clean and it was stocked with everything you might need, the lake view was amazing, the swimming hole and beach looked like fun and there was a nice view of the lake from the deck, the selection of non-motorized water crafts were pretty great ... a nice value for my money. Under different circumstances, the family and manager appear to be colorful people! Also, the addition of Blue, the resident eaglet, was a welcome curiosity that added a surprising twist to our weekend. I hope him well in his eagle upbringing. I hate to leave this review. But my husband, children and I were at the resort looking for some peace and quiet. We had come from a funeral and we all need some time to get away from the stress of everyday life. We all left in worse shape then when we arrived. Honestly, we should've stayed at the casino down the road for half the price. Blue Moon, I really wanted to give you a better review. We booked our vacation in March and was looking forward to being on the lake once the dreaded Arizona summer hit. We booked cabin #3 which had two bedrooms and one bath with a wonderful view of the lake, a nice sized deck, and a fire pit. All the kitchen appliances were available including a dishwasher! The basic cookware and dishes were also included. It was the perfect size for our family of five. It was so clean and tidy upon check in and it even smelled nice and not musty (been to other cabins that had this problem). We unpacked our things and had enough space for everything, groceries included. The amenities on the lake were so fantastic! The kids enjoyed the playground which included swings, seesaw, slides, and a sandbox. They even had swings right on the sand so you could jump off into the water. We also took advantage of the peddle boats, canoe, paddle boards, and key log. They were all included with our reservations and didn't have to pay extra. But be sure to bring quarters for the arcade room. You're gonna need it! Oh and if you plan on doing laundry they do have washers and dryers that take quarters. My babies (ages 9, 6, & 2) participated in the kids fishing contest and they were so thrilled. Although I think they loved playing with the worms more than the fish. On Wednesday they held a ceremony and they each received an award for their catch of the day with my little one getting the "smallest fish caught" award which he held up proudly. There are also towns close by to grab a bite to eat which we did twice during the week. My hubby even got to play golf since there was a course nearby. The owners were wonderful and very down to earth. They greeted us at check in and made us feel welcomed. I would always see them chatting up with other visitors as if they were life long friends. Many of the visitors are return customers and make yearly trips to the lake. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and created cherished family memories. Our one night stay in this atrocious establishment left us well over $1,000 poorer. Never have I…read morespent so much to stay in a barley heated room, broken showerhead, cracks in the walls, broken appliances, and dirt everywhere. Now we were under the false impression that we would be able to enjoy these luxurious accommidations for the bargain price of $85 dollars for the night. Unbeknownst to us, this price must have changed sometime over the eavening as the friendly staff then helped themselves to all the cash they could find in our room. When confronting the staff (directly after they had a child "cleaning our room" (and wallets)), we were then told that one of us staying in the room must have robbed ourselves. I understand how people can unknowingly rob themselves from time to time, but seeing as we were in the middle of a huge cross country trip and the money was to be spend on that, I found it hard to believe. We were "dared' to contact the police and told, "nothing will be done, what can they do, it was cash" If you find yourself moving through this area, I highly reccomend just scooching over to the next town to find a place to sleep.

My party consisted of myself, my wife, my mother-in-law, and--most critically--our 9-day-old daughter, which made the condition and functionality of the hotel especially important. Below is a comprehensive list of the issues we encountered during our short but deeply disappointing stay: 1. Undisclosed Amenity Closures Upon arrival, I was informed that the pool, hot tub, and both ice machines were out of order. At no point during booking was this mentioned, which is a clear failure of transparency and a breach of expectations based on your advertised amenities. 2. Room Confusion at Check-In After being handed my room key, the front desk attendant abruptly paused me to double-check whether someone else had already been checked into the same room earlier that day. This does not inspire confidence in your reservation system or guest security protocols. 3. No Hand Soap or Bar Soap in Room Upon entering the room, we discovered no hand soap or bar soap was provided. When I went to the front desk, I was told the hotel was out of soap entirely and was offered body wash as a substitute. For any guest this would be unacceptable--but for us, traveling with a newborn infant, this posed a serious health and sanitation risk during a time when hygiene is critically important for feeding, diaper changes, and newborn care. I was forced to leave the hotel and purchase soap from a nearby gas station at my own expense. 4. Plumbing Leak in Bathroom At approximately 1 a.m., I discovered a large puddle of water in the bathroom, which was leaking from the pipe under the sink. Upon inspection, I found that the leak had clearly been a known issue, as a towel had been wrapped around the pipe as a makeshift fix--prior to our arrival. The sink also failed to drain properly, leaving standing water in the basin throughout our stay. 5. Unauthorized Entry by Staff Later in the morning, we were startled by a hotel employee entering our room unannounced, waking up our 9-day-old daughter. The staff member apologized, claiming that the room was showing as unoccupied in the system. This is a major breach of privacy and guest safety, especially given the age of our child. 6. Inadequate and Dirty Bedding Both beds in the room were made with sheets that were too small for the mattresses, causing them to come loose repeatedly during the night. Additionally, the microwave was filthy, with visible food splatter inside when my mother-in-law attempted to use it. 7. Filthy Bathroom and Linens The shower had hair in it from a previous guest, and the towel I used after showering had pubic hair on it, which was disgusting and left me feeling dirtier than before I entered the shower. This level of uncleanliness is inexcusable in any hospitality setting. 8. False Advertising of Breakfast Despite advertising a complimentary breakfast, there was no breakfast available during our stay. This was another serious letdown in a long series of broken promises. 9. Poor Staff Conduct and Facility Maintenance Throughout the hotel, the garbage cans were overflowing, including those in the lobby and outside. To make matters worse, members of the hotel staff were heard loudly complaining about their jobs while sitting in the public areas, with one even commenting that they were on a "three-hour break from cleaning."

The manager told me not having a pool was no big deal. The employees were not professional in speaking and attire. The manager informed us that the pool has been down since June. it has actually been down for about 3 years.
