Well, the hackberry, they just cut a limb off and said that's what they were contracted to do when I SPECIFICALLY told them I wanted the half completely gone. They offered another estimate to do that. Now mind you this is over a 2 day stretch and I work so I declined the offer and told them I would call someone else that would do what I asked them to do. PRO: I believe the landscaper is probably very good at what he does…read more CON: He cancelled on me MULTIPLE TIMES or just doesn't show up as promised due to an unforeseen event. I contacted the owner about a landscaping project and scheduled a consult for 7AM on a Sunday. When he didn't arrive 30 minutes after appointment, I contacted him via text. He stated something came up and could he come later in the day. I explained dependability was important, hesitantly, I agreed to a later time. He showed up and we walked the property to determine what was needed. He forwarded a quote and I agreed. Almost a week passed, before I heard from him as it rained. He contacted me to say he would be there on a specific day....NO SHOW. I reach out and he states I will be there tomorrow (to complete lawn maintenance and landscaping). When he comes he states he can only mow the lawn and will return Monday to landscape because of a birthday party he needed to attend...nor did he have plants. Monday rolls around....NO SHOW again. AV landscape is just not a dependable landscaper from my experience.

Do NOT trust your property to this man. I hired him to grade around my house and he did nothing but…read moremake an awful mess of it. I was charged a whole lot of money for an incredibly sloppy and unprofessional job. Then he had the audacity to tell me this was "just a bandaid" after guaranteeing me he could keep our house safe from flooding. I'm  honestly embarrassed how my yard looks now. When I told him I wasn't happy he told me he "done did" his job. His idea of building a brick barrier was stacking cinder blocks on uneven ground, pouring bags of concrete in them and spraying it with a hose. He threw the plants he pulled from my yard into my neighbor's bushes. Sound professional? Every time I asked him to go over or redo a spot he made excuses. The fact that I couldn't even get him to do a complete job while I was standing there gives me little faith that he will keep his word and come back to fix what he did. He keeps putting me off and it's been a month so I doubt I'll ever see him again. Save your time AND money, do not bother with this man.
