I've been a patient with Emerald Psychiatry & TMS Center for about two years now and have had a very positive experience. I originally switched to Emerald in 2024 when my insurance changed, and they were recommended by my previous office. I'm really glad I made the transition. My psychiatrist has been wonderful to work with. She is thoughtful, attentive, and I always feel heard during our appointments. It's clear she truly cares about her patients and takes the time to make sure treatment plans are working. I've also worked with two therapists there. The first one just wasn't the right fit for me personally, which can happen anywhere, but the process of switching was smooth, and the second therapist has been a great match. We work very well together and I've found the sessions very helpful. All of my appointments have been virtual, and the process has been easy and reliable. I've never had issues with scheduling or the telehealth platform. Overall, I highly recommend Emerald Psychiatry & TMS Center. This is for anyone who is considering care with Emerald or has just left care-- it is not normal to leave an intake feeling hopeless, horrible about yourself, and completely flooded with trauma you can't process alone. It is not normal to have your therapist rush you through the intake because she spent the first half of the session lecturing you about a topic she presumes you to know nothing about (automatically made a lot of assumptions about my disability). It is not normal to tell your therapist about this life changing rare disorder you were recently diagnosed with (the entire reason I moved to Ohio and have to completely restart all care with new providers) and for her to dismiss it and say many people on her caseload have this condition that she seemingly knows nothing about. I promise you- they don't and even if they did-- their experiences are not my own. It is not normal for the therapist to talk the majority of the intake (yet no introduction or explanation of services) and tell you you need to explain your trauma in 1 sentence or less, then act annoyed that some trauma can't be concisely explained in 1 sentence. Most of all, it's not normal for a therapist who barely got to know me, did zero assessments and offered no compassion, to then end the intake by attempting to diagnose me with a personality disorder. I'm going to be incredibly vulnerable in this review in the hopes of saving someone else from the horrible experience that I had, because truly it is downright dangerous and harmful for therapists to 1. Practice outside of their scope of competence and 2. Flood their clients asking about trauma with zero reassurance or empathy offered 3. Diagnose a personality disorder without getting to know my personality My therapist, Nichole Evans, claimed that the diagnosis was due to suicidal ideation at age 13 and the fact that I can't form relationships. She did not get background on what was happening at age 13 but said that the only explanation for suicidal ideation is a personality disorder. No idea where she got the impression that I don't have solid relationships. Prior to my move to Ohio, I had a great group of friends, a really healthy relationship with my therapist and psychiatrist. The reason I don't have relationships in ohio is I JUST moved here. I also had a working diagnosis of cPTSD, OCD, and social anxiety. She didn't explore any of those diagnoses and said she's not actually able to diagnose my personality disorder, just that I have one and in the meantime she'll diagnose major depression. No PHQ9, no actual assessments or questions to determine I'm depressed. The extent of my depression is just sleeping a lot due to pain from fibromyalgia and hypermobile Ehlers Danlos. Besides that, I'm not depressed and actually consider myself to be thriving despite the conditions. When I told her that I don't agree with the diagnosis, especially given what I know about the disorder, because I don't ever want attention, she said "REALLY? because I'm getting the opposite impression, you're just begging for attention this whole meeting." When I said, "really?" She replied, "you're barfing up your life story, it's too much." For those who can't see the irony or absolute idiocracy in this statement, a therapist telling a client they're barfing up their life story and begging for attention is DANGEROUS. I don't have a personality disorder but what if I did? And took those comments personally and felt hopeless, suicidal, etc. The diagnosis felt like a threat (claiming she's unable to actually legally make the diagnosis but that she'll get it on my record so it follows me everywhere). I canceled my following appointments and tried to speak with the office but it's impossible to get through. Furthermore, after emailing that I was upset with my experience, the therapy scheduling called to try to set me up with someone else. No one acknowledged the harm that was done, no one apologized and I had left a message that I'd be available all day to discuss my experience. Im writing this review hoping to save someone else the horrible, downright offensive experience I had. This is a vulnerable community when we are going to treatment and deserve to be treated with compassion, empathy, respect. I was rushed through my intake so quickly that it was less than an hour and most of that was Nichole lecturing me about the reasons she believes I didn't get disability (fyi, I just moved here and am establishing providers and getting genetic testing completed where I couldn't in my home state. Im fully aware of the process and the steps and did not ask for her input). If you are considering Emerald, please, go elsewhere. This is *not* normal nor is it ethical or competent care. read more

Very disappointing experience with Emerald Psychiatry. My biggest concern was the complete lack of communication and difficulty getting in touch with an actual person. It took over two weeks and multiple messages to receive a response to an important billing question, and I had to call the office three separate times. When you call, you are directed to a voicemail that, in my experience, does not appear to be regularly monitored, making it extremely difficult to reach an actual human being. What concerns me most is that this is a psychiatric practice. If I had been trying to reach my provider about a medication issue, side effect, or urgent concern, waiting over two weeks for a response would be completely unacceptable. When I finally received a response, the provider did not acknowledge or apologize for the delay and instead focused solely on defending the additional $200+ charge. I felt completely unsupported and that billing was prioritized over patient communication and care. I will be receiving care elsewhere. read more

Absolutely horrible treatment. I had a 3 month ordeal with Kristin. Never called back..I literally had to chase her down...and she never had an answer...blamed it on records not sent (but they had been). Once again she said she would get back to me, and never did. We I finally got a hold of her, she told me that I was getting a shot of something, which in fact, I was not. Forwarded everything. Still no response. Just absolutely miserable. Shows zero compassion. I mean, I was just looking for help, and all got was a run around. She never took accountablity...blamed medical records...for over FOUR MONTHS now. I saw Richelle Sheets CNP. I think she's great! She has helped me with what I needed, prescribed me my medications and wrote me a letter I needed all within 2-3 visits as a new patient. I saw her on telehealth, so I haven't seen/experienced the in-person facility. I have also had a separate therapist from another company since 2022, so that does supplement the care I get from Emerald which might make a difference as well. I shared much of my information from the therapist with Richelle which gave her a solid background on me to help guide her care. She was great and I have no complaints other than if you are late/miss an appointment, it is 100$ for a late fee first time. I believe they should have at least a 1 time grace period or something for accidents/mistakes. I mean, we're psych patients, for God's sake. I recently switched to night shift and scheduled my appointment before I switched and accidentally slept through the appointment after a 13 hour night shift. 100$ for missing a zoom appointment is pretty steep and I didn't appreciate that very much. But, that's how it works, so I sucked it up and paid. They also make you pay a "release of information" fee to send an email copy of whatever paperwork they need to send to someone else. It's like 40$, which I also thought was ridiculous after I paid 100$ for missing a zoom appointment, just for them to send an email. Man, I wish I could make 40$ every time I sent an email. Anyway, overall it was an okay experience and I'll continue care here unless they screw up badly. So far it's been okay other than tons of fees. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I went to Emerald on a recommendation from a friend that they were of good standing and actually did care about the patients they cared for. This could not have been further from the truth. Whoever is in charge of this place is an actual monster. My psych had started me on medication that left me in a state of extreme anxiety and several panic attacks daily, over doing typical activities. When I finally managed to reach my psych and explain the extreme state of emotional distress I was in, I was actually crying and begging for any kind of help at all to alleviate these symptoms I was told that they will not help me at all. They provided no resources. NOTHING. This place will HURT YOU just as they have hurt me. I honestly cannot believe in this modern society that you can actually call this fraud mental health. They will use you and abuse you simply because you are poor. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL HURT YOU AND ABANDON YOU. I truly hope this at least helps one person avoid the outcome I had with then the suffering I felt at the hands of Emerald may somehow mean something. I cannot express in words or even monetarily the damage and scarring these people did to me. If I wasn't poor I would sue. But they know that. read more

The business plan seems to be to get as many people on medication as possible for recurring monthly charges, hence profit. I wanted to know if I was ADHD. At the first meeting, I was told that if I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD they could still give me other medication. I didnt feel my best interest was the goal. I was diagnosed with ADHD after one session with a NP that I did not trust and who did nothing to gain my trust or confidence and a 20 min online test. Worst place ever. I did everything asked of me, booked an online new patient appointment. Paperwork all filled out and my appt was canceled. Stated error on their end. Rescheduled new appy. Again tried tp connect via zoom and they closed out appointment even after talking on phone, stating its something on my end and I need a Zoom tech. Very diamissive and now have to wait again to schedule appointment.. CNP sounded like she was being bothered. Will not schedule a third time. They clearly do not care about anything and its all apparent in their use of Zoom and technology that doesn't work. DONT GO HERE or waste time. read more

I think it's important for prospective patients to understand how Emerald Psychiatry does business by learning how they treated me. I was a patient for a couple years, doing telehealth visits. They lasted about 10 minutes, on average. They were fine. But once when I had a telehealth visit during the work day, I got distracted with my work and forgot about it. Did the receptionist who apparently only collects your payment and schedules follow-ups call me to remind me of the appointment? My dentist does that. My eye doctor does that. No. Emerald apparently does not. Did they waive the $50 no-show fee because I had been a regular patient for a while? Nope, they billed me $50. I paid the no-show fee. I kept seeing them. But after a few months it happened again. I have a hectic job. Did the receptionist call me that time? Again, no. Did they waive the second no-show fee because I paid the first and remained a good patient? Again, no. So they billed me a $50 no-show fee. Again. This time I declined to pay it. So they sent me to collections. Over a no-show fee. They sent me to collections over services not rendered. I haven't decided whether or not to pay the second $50 no-show fee. I can afford it. That's not the problem. Whether I do or not, I think it will be worth $50 so I can show other prospective patients how they treated me and they can use that information to help decide whether or not to become a patient of Emerald Psychiatry. read more

Thank God, I'm like way more confident in secure in myself than I used to be because I would've left that appointment crying. But quite literally I was gaslit by someone. He asked me if I was on drugs when I'm literally sober and in AA. He continued to ask me four more times if I was on any illegal illicit substance. I clarified the only thing I've done was smoke A little bit of weed and that I do that every day and I've done that with their providers for years so are you OK? They literally have paperwork that states the only thing that is neurologically approved for medical cannabis that they recognize and won't make me quit is PTSD, which is the literal diagnosis that I have... and I was going over how I'm affected by my ADHD and all this other stuff and he literally absorbed none of that absorbed nothing about me talking about how I'm disabled. I have a spinal cord injury. I have a traumatic brain injury. I have arthritis, etc.. All he did was jump straight into, "Are you high" and I was just like no and he's like you Sure? he asked me five times. I clarified you're literally gaslighting. And he said "gaslighting would be accusing somebody, and I asked" in the most aggressive tone, to which I stated actually gaslighting is insinuating that someone's reality or existence isn't exactly as they are experiencing it and I'm sober right now so that's literally exactly what you are doing. He stated that we can't continue an appointment when you are under the influence. I clarified is there anyway I can speak to somebody else or make an appointment with someone else, cause this is clearly not working. he stated no you only can make an appointment with me after we cancel this one and I said no offense, but I think this speaks to your lack of capacity to facilitate care and this speaks mostly to your inability to understand anything that we've been talking about. I literally talked to you about my Disability. Talked to you about everything that I've been going through and how I haven't been able to work for the last five years and how my ADHD my automatic negative thoughts etc. are the only thing that is making it so I can't function at home and now that I have housing id like to get my life organized and in order to try to get back to work and maybe continue doing some type of contribution to my community. I also clarified that I really hope that he goes through and re-watches this video so that way he can see the errors in his capacity to approach something this sensitive with zero tact. It takes five seconds to address someone with respect and not treat someone less than they deserve and you tell others your worth by what you accept and this is absolutely not it. It's quite literally a form of anger to insinuate that how somebody is behaving is not OK. It's a form of indirect anger. You learned that in anger management so he was quite literally mad at me for nothing. I didn't do anything. It was our first appointment and I just answered questions. He also thought I was crackijg open a beer. It was a Guyaki Yerba Matte Tea. He was clearly projecting some unhealed wounds. I just find this ironic that all of this happened after they emailed me to let me know that the person who I left Emerald psychiatry because of a negative interaction, was no longer there and that's the reason why I established care with Brandon. To hopefully have a better experience. But I already had a terrible experience with somebody else and they were like oh we fired her so I came back because they sent me a request to come back. Why would you request me to come back just to insinuate I'm under the influence? Make it make sense. That's the type of behavior that I stated to Stephen, the person who is the manager of this individual who I came to emerald from providers for healthy living. I stated to him that a comment made by my pcp dr, triggered suicidal ideation in the past when I had a year in seven months, having a medical provider, who was taking care of me, insinuate that I was on drugs made me relapse in the past, and I let the person who's the manager know this, and then they invite me back to be accused? That seems like indirect coercion to Me. Like you were trying to trigger a reaction. Y'all need to work on yourself before you accuse. Other people asking, would look like asking the question once and then accepting the answer that you receive instead of asking a question four more times, showing off some more of that indirect anger. You just tried to sugarcoat it and it's funny because I actually feel like he was on drugs because that's the same exact behavior that I get from people who are on drugs who are not sober and are required to come to the program to get slips signed. It's like they're projecting the thing that they've never worked on yet. It's really ironic. One of the most unwelcoming practices ive been to. The provider i was seeing said i had to undergo random drug tests (not mandatory to get prescription) to get my prescription for medicine i have BEEN taking. Even then when i expressed i never had to take a test before, the provider was adamant on it. She was more adamant on that than she was asking how my actual health was. Even the people who answer the phones are extremely rude as if youre disturbing them to get assistance on clinic-related things?? Highly do not recommend this place. Im at OhioHealth now where the experience there is the complete opposite of Emerald Health. Save yourself the hassle. read more

This place is dangerous! I was referred by my mental health NP for TMS and had a consultation with an NP, Rachel, who appeared nervous and uncertain. She said I was approved for TMS, great. I told my best friend about this and he had sone concern. Turns out, medication I am on is contraindicated with TMS! She had no idea! read more

This place is dangerous! We're not supposed to beg for care. I'm deaf and have been trying to get in to see someone here about my mental health and they have made every excuse in the book so far since Oct 1st. First it was because I need an interpreter (they're usually online appt and I explained interpreter could be called thru the videophone as well it's 2023 but not if you're Deaf, it's 1980) Then the in-person appt was cancelled the day before because doctor is not in, then the appt was cancelled because I never filled out the enrollment forms (which they never sent because they had someone else's email address under my profile) and now just today it's cancelled because the dude called off again. I should have known, i should have known!!!! Crap ratings and terrible front office people skills... Again, we're not supposed to plead and beg for care, they're supposed to help. I'm so hopeless right now, if you're struggling because life is tough and you feel there's no way out, don't make an appt here, run especially fast if you're Deaf... those chicks up front have 0 remorse for us. I would have to agree with Veronica K., maybe it's that Sam doesn't relate well to women. I felt misunderstood and not supported at all. My only advice to those reading this review is that if you're a woman, I wouldn't recommend scheduling with Sam Stahl. The one thing I will say about the practice is that unless it's during an appointment, you don't have the option to communicate directly with the provider. It goes through one person there, whether it's a phone call or a message sent through their site (with very limited capability). I don't know who she is, but it's clear that direct communication with your provider is not possible. When I called about a message that I sent the day prior, I was told by her, "he has the message. I don't know when or if he will respond to you today." Also, their program for virtual appointments works very poorly. The video was frozen the whole time on my last appointment. I know it's not my computer. As I had a virtual appointment with a different provider and their program was superior and worked perfectly. I have to conclude that I have worked with much better Psych. providers and will again. Over the years, I have found that the much better ones are in the minority, so you may have to deal with seeing some bad ones to get to the good ones. I was a patient for emerald psychiatry for a few years now. I was having an anti-anxiety and antidepressant medication managed by them. The practitioner who manages my medications is no longer with the company. I was not notified of this change prior, and when requesting a medication refill, the new Doctor assigned has refused to fill prescriptions, I have been taking for years without establishing a new consult, several weeks out from now. As a result, I am currently suffering from discontinuation syndrome. For the next two to three weeks I will be vomiting and suffering panic attacks until a new care provider can be established, followed by another month of suffering as the antidepressants take time to build up again. I blame the next month and a half of suffering I will be dealing with on Emerald psychiatry's negligence. read more

This place was absolutely horrible. In the middle of a crisis their provider made a appt at 830 and never came online. They said she did but I was not online yet so she logged off and left me in a very poor state and did not care. When I did log on a sent a chat thru the app to let her know I was there and instead of calling to make sure things were ok she called a half hour into the appt to cancel because she didn't have time. She would have had time had she showed up. If you expect timely help don't bother. It was such a awful experience I was in worse shape than I was before I called. They didn't seem to understand what happens when you can't get your meds. Now I see why people get off meds! Because no one cares enough to take time to help. Incredibly discouraging. My first impression of Emerald Psychiatry was not 5-star. The initial appointment is virtual. You must complete all paperwork by 4pm the preceeding day. My documents did not go through even though the portal gave me green check marks. The office called me to say I had until the end of the day to complete the documents. The thing was, I had gone into my financial office that has strong internet filters. I cannot access my employer's computer for personal use. My cell would not transfer the documents even stepping outside. I could not send them on my lunch hour; that day I forfeited my time to give a presentation. I was very frustrated. Fortunately the office honored my appointment even though their email said that it would be automatically cancelled if they did not receive the documents by 4pm. The woman who did the intake could not have been more thorough, professional or caring. She was so empathetic that it brought me to tears. I am glad that they honored the appointment. I saw Sam twice via Teledoc. He was arrogant and proceeded to slam my GP. My GP is the only one who has tried to help me. He was more of a "middle man" ordering "tests" to places that didn't call me back or email. I had no way to contact Sam. Over 3 months later and no progress. Do not recommend. read more

I've been to this practice for over a year now. I cannot be more thankful. I was originally seeing a practice before that just issued pills and pills to me and never really listened to me. I was constantly getting sick and not better the previous practice put me in the hospital twice. Being in this practice I have not been in the hospital at all. Michelle is who I see. She's the most compassionate caring person I have ever met. From the first meeting she was giving me advice about moats and saying how certain people need to be put in the moat and not in my castle if they are giving me chaos in my life. She gives me little tidbits every time I see her to make things better. She really is an encouraging person and it's helped me with treatment. I love she listens and gives good medicine changes or advice for medicine when needed. It's impacted me and kept me out of the hospital. She gives me evidence and answers any questions on medicines etc if I have any confusion etc. Honestly being at this practice I have never been more stable in my life. It's really thanks to Michelle and her hard work and helpfulness. Because as I said at the last practice I was always in and out of the hospital and unstable and not able to keep a job. To finally have this stability and normalcy I've always wanted, its amazing. I cannot tell you how happy I am. It's great to have a good doctor patient relationship that I can communicate with anytime and the staff I know will get it to her and she will get it back to me too. read more

I am quite disappointed and a bit embarrassed... I began with Emerald nearly 2 years ago after returning to the workforce, and saw Rachel. I was admittedly uncertain after our initial appointment as she seemed to rely heavily on a book to diagnose and guide her treatment recommendations. I was quite hesitant that she was competent to think for herself outside of the book, and her demeanor lacked engagement. My partner's insurance changed and thus I did not continue with Emerald. After my most recent provider retired, I decided to return to Emerald and saw David. He was pleasant enough and I was in agreement with his recommendations. I was unhappy to learn at the end of that appointment that I would only see him once before being transferred to another provider as he was leaving the practice. I then saw Tess for our scheduled followup, which was approached as if I were a brand new patient, and was again unhappy to learn that she too, is leaving the practice. I am quite disappointed that rather than contacting me and advising me that I would see 4 different providers in as few appointments, they were keen enough to see me and bill my insurance without affording the opportunity to engage with a provider who will assume care for me, rather this was handled as if it were a McDonald's drive-thru. I was not allowed the opportunity to decline transfer to a provider who they knew was leaving. I am rather embarrassed as well, as I recommended Emerald to a colleague after the appointment with David. I learned from my colleague recently that they saw Bev for their initial appointment, and they too learned at that appointment that she was also leaving the practice and they would see another new provider in as many appointments. I cannot fathom why we were not given the respect and courtesy due to us, unless of course, Emerald cares more for billing appointments rather than patient's connecting with providers, unless of course, no such providers exist who have committed to longevity with Emerald. Heed this cautionary tale and seek care elsewhere. read more

I was referred to Emerald by my primary care physician. When there were no psychiatrists available, I was assigned to a young woman named Jenna, a 'nurse practitioner.' She is intelligent and knowledgeable, and it is agreed that her diagnostic skills and ability to perform basic functions of her job are very good. Unfortunately, she is without empathy, and does not have an ability to consider a point of view other than her own. She seems void of any warmth whatsoever. It is as though one is speaking with a droid. She has been late starting our sessions on more than one occasion, yet she will not see a client if the client is late- even ONE MINUTE over the time in which the appointment is supposed to start. Additionally, she PUSHES certain medications, and discounts others, despite evidence that a patient has been stable (not great, not perfect, but stable) for 4+ decades without her guidance. From the start, I felt uncomfortable with her, but tried to be open, answering the same questions over and over again, to be repeatedly asked to answer the same questions, several times, in the same session. The questions are set up deliberately to test for consistency; I know why questions are repeated in a session. But they are not repeated 4 or 5 times. At one point, I questioned why I was being asked the same questions over and over, particularly since she was asking questions that obviously triggered emotional responses from me, and I had answered them consistently... and she said, coldly and defensively, "Just trying to clarify." Asking a question 4 times, reducing someone to tears of frustration, is sadistic, not simply for the purpose of clarification. I asked to see another nurse practitioner months ago, and was told it was not the policy to allow a client to see another practitioner. Is there only one nurse practitioner? I doubt it. Other people in this field have informed me that this is NOT true, and that I should have been given an option to have someone else for the purpose of medication management. Jenna has a lot of excellent qualities, but she is rigid, cold, and quite frankly, too insecure and inflexible to be in the kind of position she is in. Patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression deserve to be treated with kindness and consideration when they are doing everything within their power to help themselves to cope in a very difficult situation. No one should feel worse every time they attend a session with someone. Sometimes, just getting out of bed to face the day, much less showing up to go to appointment you get nothing out of, is all a person can do. Shame on this woman for being so inaccessible. And shame on Emerald for enabling her. Going to see her has been an insufferable experience, and I wish I had stopped going to Emerald instead of wasting time and money. If you are assigned to this young woman, go elsewhere. read more

After recently being diagnosed with PTSD from years of working for a corrupt employer, I've been bouncing around from therapist to therapist and finding them all lacking. My dad suggested I try Emerald Psychiatry. Everything else has failed, so, why not? And maybe they might have some good suggestions for meds. If it'll help, I'm open to it. I had my first appointment today with Michelle. First off, she was chewing and smacking gum like a teenager! The first question I was asked was what meds I'm on. I'm on a benzodiazepine prescribed to me by a neurologist for a neurological disorder that has made me able to function and continue working. Well, Michelle is strongly against benzos and went at me like gang busters! Telling me it couldn't POSSIBLY help with my disorder because it has a short half life. She shrugged off my explanation that it was prescribed by a neurologist. Then she went into a disturbing tale of whenever you hear people in nursing homes screaming, it's because they're in benzo withdrawal. You don't ambush someone with PTSD and land on them with both feet. You just might trigger them. Well, she did. I wanted to flee, but thought maybe I shouldn't, so I started sobbing. She actually thought I was crying because it's difficult to talk about the PTSD, and never once stopped to address why I was crying. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I called & made an appointment 3 days ago. It was super easy to get someone in the phone & I was delighted to learn I could make an appt with a provider less than 5 days later. I was told that I would be receiving an email with patient intake paperwork that needed to be filled out no more than 24 hours before my appointment. I received an email with a link for my new patient paperwork & when I clicked on it, I was taken to their patient portal where I was prompted to either create a new account or a login. When I attempted to create a new account it said they were 31 existing in their system and because I had not created my own account I requested a password reset be sent to my email. I never received the password reset email I tried this a few times before calling Emerald Psychiatry. I spoke with someone on the phone who said she was going to send me a patient portal invitation link. I never received it. A few hours later I called back and discovered that while I was receiving some emails from their portal email address, I was not receiving the invitation link. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with Laura & Chantel (their office manager) trying everything from juggling 3 different electronic devices to clearing them all & turning them all on & off. Chantel told me she was going to call her IT department/portal help desk to see if they could figure out what the issue was. My husband happens to work for a US Government Agency as a Cyber Security IT Analyst so after checking a few things on our end, he described what he felt the possible issue was on the sending server side. A few hours later, Laura called me back to tell me that the issue was user error (meaning me ) & that her solution was for me ti drive across town with my laptop so she could essentially show me how to use my email. I expressed to her that I didn't think I was going to be able to make it to her office before my appointment scheduled the following day because I not only have 2 children but 1 who is currently dealing with heart issues. She told me I cold to have my appt until my paperwork was filled out... which I understood even thought I was frustrated. I tried to explain to her what my husband had suggested & she snapped at me to say "This is user error". When I asked her if she could possibly text me the link instead of email it, she said no & then said "I had another solution for you but I think it's best we end this call because you aren't willing to listen." What I think she meant was I wasn't willing to drop everything & race across town with my medically fragile child in the middle of a pandemic & that was her preferred solution so she was mad. I asked "Are you really going to deny me an alternative option because you're frustrated?" Laura said "I am ending this call and canceling your appointment right now." This is a mental health facility. They provide care to people who are often at the end of their rope. I thank goodness an not however to be denied access to care because of a frustration an employee was having is unethical in my opinion. I spent a combined total of nearly 2.5 hours on this issue today only to be removed from the schedule & hung up on. I was so caught off guard & shaken by what happened I cried for over an hour. I wish I would have checked the yelp reviews before making an appointment with a provider so I would have been better prepared to deal with the level of unprofessionalism I experienced this afternoon. read more

This practice will charge you and your insurance company the price for a psychiatrist visit, then set you up with a cold and inexperienced nurse practitioner (Jennifer). Go to PsychBC instead. I just spoke with the " office manager" who will not give me an appointment over 50$ that I have no problem paying when I have the money. I explained to them multiple times that my unemployment was taken away 3 weeks early that I was not expecting at Christmas time, However she does not care that I cannot get out of bed, take showers, leave my house, clean my house and take care of myself or relationships that are messed up because people do not understand mental illness. Looks like the office manager doesn't either. Also the NP diagnosis for was bi polar because I told her I had a dream that I died in. I have been telling her that I have extreme anxiety and that is turning into depression and that if something bad happens to me it will be there fault over 50$ when they charge my insurance 250.00 for 20 min session and I have never seen a psychiatrist. I will be making a claim at my insurance company explaining that they are charging people like they are seeing a psychiatrist for an hour. How can a nurse practitioner tell me I am bipolar in 2 20 min visits then puts me on all this medication that does not work and I have called and begged more then once to talk about my medication and got some bullshit messages. Well I have saved everything. I hope my insurance company audits them and there are other people saying this in there reviews. They made there money from me and I refuse to pay this 50$ until I am back to work which probably won't happen because I can't even leave my house and they were suppose to be helping me with that.. I hope this place gets sued I will be looking into an advocate lawyer. I could see if I owed them 500.00 but it's is 50$ and they charge my insurance company 250.00 everytime I talk to Michelle. I told them if I kill myself it will be there fault we are in the middle of a pandemic and they are worried about 50 fucking dollars that I do not have. Do not waste your time with this place they are getting kickbacks now to prescribe you bipolar medication and antidepressant and they will cut you off so you can go through withdrawals. read more
