My family and friends are there, there's different service times on the same day, and the pastor and his wife are sweet. They preach exactly what is happening that week. My son, 7, attended Journey's one day VBS today. To say that I am angry would be an…read moreunderstatement. I picked him up and in front of his "teachers" immediately started to point out injuries and told me he told them that the other kids were pushing, kicking, and hitting him and he was told to sit and nothing was said to the children. Again in front of the teachers he states that he asked them to call me to come pick him up. They told him no he needed to stay. First of all, if a kid wants to call their parents it is no ones place to tell them no. To think I thought my son was safe when I dropped him off at CHURCH. Apparently, I was wrong. My child was not taken care of and was not allowed to call me to take care of him when he needed me. I do not recommend this place to any other parent as my experience and my child's experience were not pleasant ones. I uploaded just a FEW of the pictures I have of the injuries he came home with. If hadn't told me, they wouldn't have either but you can bet I still would have noticed.

River Oaks is much more than an Art Gallery. It's also artist's studios, entertainment space,…read moreeducational space, etc. They offer classes throughout the year. My only complaint regarding the classes is that the children's classes are offered primarily in the summer. We homeschool, and we would love to have access to year-round children's classes. Edited to add: My husband and daughter took a parent-child ceramics class at River Oaks when my daughter was about 2 1/2 years old. She's now 6 1/2 - to my knowledge, they've yet to do another class like that (with younger children). I really wish they'd consider starting parent-child classes again. Both my daughter and husband had a blast and still speak fondly of the time they spent together there.
