It is situated on the outskirts of Rushden and there are plenty of carparking space outside. It is a great place just to wander around. There are two floors full of great pieces that you can't find in other stores. Examples are drinks bars that look like a car, life size Marilyn Monroes, life size Darlicks and Doctor Who memorabilia as well as some fantastic pieces of real wood furniture. If you are looking for film memorablilia or just a piece that will be a focal and talking point for your house then this is definitely the place to visit. They don't come cheap, but you can guarantee that your friends won't have something the same. The range of clothes and footwear is really fashionable and there is always something that takes my liking, however the prices are quite high and you can find similar items for a lot less money in nearby stores. The clothing in River Island does tend to be really good quality though and they have fantastic sales on with items up to half price. It does get busy in here on a Saturday and at sale times, but the customer service is really good and they open extra tills to manage the queues. I have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly and it is just a reall nice store to have a browse around.

The household furnishings range is particularly good in this branch with a fantastic range of lights, photo frames, bed covers and curtains all at really low prices. It is one of the first places I think of to look. Wilkinsons have such a huge range of products now that I often try them before any other store for a lot of items as the prices are so good. There is a customer service desk where they are only too happy to help with refunds and exchanges. It does get really busy in here especially on a Saturday so be prepared for a bit of a queue at the checkouts sometimes.

However, the TK Maxx ethic is to create a 'jumble sale' feeling, where the shopper is encouraged to hunt for bargains. You have to sift your way through long rails of clothing to find something you like, and it can be rather time consuming but that's fine if you have the time. This store is pretty big and I like it.

At the back is paint and gardening supplies, just as you come into the store is the health and beauty section, followed by food for both humans and pets, then stationary and finally home wares. If you're a lover of fairy lights you can find them here in the winter in great abundance.

They have the usual bargains in toiletries and cleaning products, and they also seem to have a lot of buy one get one free offers. Their home department, although small, is surprisingly good. I particularly like their ranhe of pictures and their lighting, which is really inexpensive. A fair few of the pictures in my home came from this shop. It is also goos for inexpensive stocking fillers for Christmas. There is a car park at the back of the shop, which is prpbably one of the cheapest car parks in Hitchin.
