I was searching other Yelp reviews for a good burger in Breck and found Empire Burger. It's in a great location right on the main street and the burger was very good. I had the Green Chile Cheeseburger and enjoyed it. Truthfully the best part is the homemade dipping sauces! I tried the Jalapeño Ranch and the Sriracha Mayo and both were excellent. Overall, decent spot to come to for a burger and beer (don't forget the dipping sauces!) when in Breckenridge. read more

Amazing burger joint in the best ski town in Colorado! After a long day of paddle boarding on Dillion Lake, we were craving a burger, and we found this on our way back home. They have a vast burger menu it was hard to pick one, but I ended with the Western burger because I'm a fan of bacon. It was perfectly cooked and all the ingredients were so fresh! We chose the trailer tots, and there is enough for probably 4 people to share this is not a small appetizer! Our server recommended the sweet mango chutney sauce for the tots, and that sauce is one of a kind, I would put it on a burger next time! The food was so quick to come out and delicious! We ordered 2 mojitos and I honestly think they forgot the alcohol. It tasted like straight simple syrup. If the server had returned before we were done eating, I would have mentioned it. My second time coming to Empire burger and definitely eating the burger at the restaurant was better than take-out! Our wait was about 50 minutes on a Saturday night. I figured that wasn't too bad since it was the weekend at a busy resort. We ordered loaded fries with Jalapeno Ranch. There were 30 different sauces to choose from, which was awesome! For Burgers, we got the Empire double and 2 Guac Bacon Burger! All were juicy and delicious! Our server was friendly, but wasn't as attentive! Only one bathroom was available. When you are hungry all day but stuck in vail, thank goodness for Breckenridge being so close by. Empire Burger was one of our options because of outdoor seating meaning dogs can eat too. The chicken tenders were delicious. I loved the sauce and the tater tots. That was my favorite part of the meal. Everything was quite good and filling when you are starving. Because it's located on a pretty nice side of town, the view is so pretty with your meal. Staff is really friendly and helpful with suggestions. We stumbled upon this place when we got into town at Breck for a 3-day stay across the street at the Hyatt Place, and I'm sure glad we did. This has a nice, friendly, vibe to it when you dine in. The waiter was friendly and efficient. They have various beers on tap: I settled on, of course, an IPA. For lunch, I had the fish tacos - very nicely done, fair price for a ski town. We liked it so much that some of us did take-outs for another two meals. I scoffed at my friend's order of a club sandwich apres-ski - who'd want a lousy sandwich after a full day of calorie-burning activities? I had to eat my words - that sandwich was so huge that it might have fed two hungry men! Their food is fresh and well prepared. I like especially their slaw - different and slightly more tart than usual, but good. We'll be back if we ski Breckenridge again. read more

The only thing holding this back from 5-stars is its not celiac friendly. My wife skips this place while the 3 of us eat. I choose to go no bun, because otherwise I'd never eat it all. Best dipping sauce is Jalapeño Ranch. They were out of it, so that was a bummer. Asked waiter about a chikfila sauce and they make a similar one and it was quite good. Mediocre, nothing special. Waitress took forever to get us water, she also took even longer to come back and take orders. Food was alright and the shake was alright. I asked for the shake to come out w the food and she said no problem. I guess it was a problem since the shake came about 15 minutes before the food did. They also got super cheap with the shake, the picture shows how it's not filled up, and that's how it came. No sips were taken. My dad ordered the empire double burger but only got one patty, when we asked about it she said he ordered the empire, not the empire double. If you look at the menu, there's no burger labeled "empire". There's only the empire double so not sure what she was thinking there. Don't waste your time here, wasn't all the great, food wasn't good enough to get over the continuous mistakes and attitude. Empire Burger has potential, but there some misses that hold back the rating here. The table ordered the green Chile burger, the mushroom burger, fish tacos and nachos. I had the green Chile Cheeseburger with the bison patty. The burger was really solid, with the only complaint being the green Chile didn't really come through. After a long day in Breck, my friends and I were excited to grab some burgers to enjoy back at our cabin. We were a group of 12 so we decided to place orders online and have one person pick them up (me). When I arrived, I let the woman behind the bar know that I'd be picking up several orders. She never asked me for the order names and instead thrust two receipts at me to re-sign. All of us had already paid when we ordered online, so I was confused as to why she was making me sign those receipts for a second time. I got maybe one or two of the orders before I stood there waiting like a fool for what felt like eternity. A couple more orders came out eventually, but I was still waiting on the last two orders. The girl never asked me what those last two names were, and then I realized the bags of food were sitting behind the bar the whole time! I asked her to check and she finally gave me them to me. I figured she was being rude and stand offish because she expected a tip so I handed her a cash tip once I got all of my orders. She said "thanks" extremely sarcastically and tossed the cash to the side like it didn't matter. I was appalled to receive such horrible service! And the food wasn't any better. The burgers were extremely crumbly, and all of our food was lukewarm by the time we got to eat it. Additionally, the online ordering system doesn't even text you when your order is ready like it promises. So unless you're looking through the bags of food yourself, you'll never know when your food is ready. Will not be returning. read more

BEST BURGERS WE'VE EVER HAD! My husband and I love a good burger and Empire Burger was slappin!!! We started with the chips and salsa with chili con queso. The salsa tasted just like my grandfather's homemade salsa. It made me choke up a bit as my grandfather is no longer with us. The queso was very tasty as well. I got the bacon burger with only pickle and mayo. The bacon was cooked just the way I like it. Not crispy but not overly chewy. My husband ordered The Empire Double and subbed one of the patties for a bison patty. He also added an egg. We both loved the little American flag touch. His burger was huge and he finished every last bite. We both got onion rings for our sides. You can tell they are house made, the outside was flaky and crispy. My only wish is the onions were done a little more as they still had some crunch to them. I'm weird about textures. Ranch was house made and delicious. I finished my meal with one of the best chocolate shakes I've ever had. I did not care for the paper straws but I was able to drink without a straw. We chose to sit inside and had a cute table along the windows. It was very busy but our food came out quickly. Mike was our server. He was funny and took great care of us. Great food and welcoming atmosphere! I came with a group to go skiing and this restaurant had everything we needed.

I ordered the bacon and guacamole burger and it was pretty good. They said they cook all their burgers to medium and I didn't see any pink in my burger which is what I like. I like my burgers to be pink inside. Ordered a full order of tater tots and it was too much for 2 people. The guacamole on the burger was really good. Food is delicious, decently priced and customer service was great. This location was very close to other lodges and near the shops which is walking distance to the residence inn at the marriot.
