Actually comparing this cute little shop to James perse is a bit of an insult as this place is wayyyyyy better ! Why ?! All of the items are made not just in Italy but ON SITE by members of the family ! I know because they gave me a tour of the facility . This place is the epitome of Italian artisanal charm . I love the way they arranged the clothes. Linen clothes draped from winding stair cases , trees , bushes lol tutto ...Everywhere .. there were so many beautiful pieces !!! I wanted to buy the whole store ! But prices were steep . Still I managed to walk away with a cute green handwoven sweater that set me back $100 euro ( that's a whopping 113 dollars ) This place definitely has James perse , Bloomingdales or Barney's prices that's for sure ...but it's worth it . Also last note ..customer service was amazing . I felt like I was shopping with extended family ...they really made me feel welcome !

Their garments are of good quality and well made and you definitely pay a hefty price, but considering the garbage you buy for the same amount in the US..it's worth it. My only gripe about a couple of the shops is that the sales people were so aggressive! I don't know if they work on commission, but I was told a certain size was not available at any other store but when I went to one of the other stores, I had no problem finding my size. They also didn't offer to contact the other shops to see. So, my advice is to shop all four and don't succumb to the sales pressure.

Venice: better, but no cigar. Was thinking I'd leave Italy without a bag, until I found Mary's Shop during a quick internet search on the way to Sorrento. Leather is very well made by Italians who have had this shop here for 110 years. Beautiful family, beautiful leather, BEAUTIFUL prices. The shop owner showed me a similar bag like the one I was interested in that was 14 years old. The bag's owner had run over the bag with his car and needed repairs. It was buttery and patina'd. Fantastic! My leather looks great now, but it will only get better. Not super heavy like my Saddleback Leather bags, but high quality, high stitch per inch, made in Sorrento leather. Surprisingly, after visiting over 30 leather shops in Italy (not counting the scores of stores of cheap stuff made in the Far East), I found my bag in Sorrento at Mary's Shop. For reference, the most expensive bags I considered were 690€ in Venice, 540€ in Florence. The bag I bought was just as well made and was marked at 290€, which is an absolute steal for a leather briefcase of this quality.

Lady shoe is fully leather with price less than 70 Euro a pair. It is located at the walk of Main Street to the beach at Via dei Mulini. I had seen a few other places that also had sandals, however, Corcione had the largest selection that I had seen in that town. I had so many options of colors and styles that I was honestly overwhelmed. They were very friendly and were not bothered that I tried on many different pairs to narrow down the ones that I wanted. They have wrap-up gladiators as well that are not as easily seen and they can customize the length and ties to make them more flattering. I ended up with a pretty basic pair that fit great because they adjusted them to my feet, so while you can pick up some as a gift, they fit the best when you are there in person. If I ever get the opportunity to visit this part of Italy again, I would definitely stop by again and stock up.
