I strained my neck and scheduled a massage thinking it might help, but my doctor advised me to wait at least 7 days. When I called to reschedule, they told me I'd still be charged for the appointment even though I had a medical reason. To avoid losing my session, I agreed to keep the appointment and simply asked the therapist to avoid the strained area. But because I was honest and disclosed my injury, they refused to treat me altogether, yet STILL demanded payment for the canceled session before I could rebook. This company takes advantage of customers under the guise of "policy." Massage Envy is nothing more than a scam.

She uses an integrated approach with aromatherapy, range-of-motion exercises, anti-gravity stretching, and hot stone massage in addition to extraordinary deep muscle technique. One other thing I appreciate about Joell is that she doesn't talk too much -- sounds funny to say but it's important! This is not the case with all therapists sadly- sometimes it's hard to relax when the therapist goes on and on about themselves. Refreshingly she does not. A couple days after my first session, she mailed a personalized "Thank You" card to our home, detailing a special offer for any referrals, along with a couple business cards. We were very charmed by this. This was about a year ago and since then both my spouse and I go see her for regular sessions. We will continue to go as long as she continues her practice. You can't get better massage therapy -- and she is clearly very skilled, experienced, and professional.
