We had seen her work before, and were captivated by her detail work and wonderful compositions. Since we were doing a very small 'pop-up' style wedding, we knew we wanted someone who would not only be able to capture the short ceremony, but also the entire day surrounding it as we traveled from the hotel to meet our family, and all left together for the reception dinner. He discussed with the couple and was happy to work with their plans and what they did and didn't want, and very thoughtful about the photography options with great suggestions. He was a super nice guy as well. The day of the event he was professional, very flexible in the face of lots of cooks in the kitchen, clearly knew what he was doing, and really nice to work with. He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! We got married in November of 2021. Amanda delivered and then some. We found Amanda through our venue and she gave us the perfect wedding photos (and engagement photos) that are currently playing on the Google hub in our kitchen. Her work is stunning, of course, but she's also a wonderful person to work with. A few days before our wedding, we were anxiously watching the weather forecast because we had planned to have our wedding photos taken at a local park. Amanda reached out to me to brainstorm a few places as a backup plan. She proactively contacted a few venues and even came out to look at them with me (and brought her adorable little daughter) to see how they'd work. Lo' and behold, the heavens opened up and we had a torrential downpour on our hands the morning of our wedding. However, by the time we were ready for photos, the ground was dry, the sun was shining, and we had 60° of pure first look bliss.
