Buko shakes. That's about all I want out of Enchanted Kingdom. Just leave me at the shake stand. That aside, EK is a fun little day trip. The park is really nice with a good assortment of rides. I couldn't really pinpoint a favorite though. Probably the most eventful ride is the free fall one, but I'm not really into free falls... so skipped that. The bigger roller coaster was refreshing as was the swans and the ferris wheel. My biggest beef with EK though isn't entirely their fault, but kinda...? There just isn't enough rides to attendees, and then the general pace has you waiting in line for 3 plus hours on some. We immediately jumped into one line, finished what would be a min. long ride, then immediately jumped into another... before 6 hrs had gone by. Oh well. It could just have been the day. Okay, no more beef. Don't let the wait deter you, the rides are really fun. If you wait til night they also have a decent fireworks display. However, those shakes just can't be beat. Now that I'm older and probably more cynical, Enchanted Kingdom isn't that much fun to me as before. Well, maybe it could be with a large group of friends, but looking at each ride and attraction on its own is, well, not so amusing. The only ride I really enjoyed was the Rio Grande Rapids, but only because it's nice to get wet under the scorching summer sun. Afterwards, I like to "dry myself off" by riding the Flying Fiesta, which only works if the wind is blowing hard enough. Anchors Away is a nice heart-dropping ride too, so if you hate drops, like I am, don't sit at the far back. I've only ridden Space Shuttle once, and only because I let my best friends talk me into it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone on it at all. It was a horrible experience because, as you know, I hate drops. But guess where I sat? At the back! Lovely. I felt like dying. I really did. But it's nice to have that one ticked off my life bucketlist. Those rides are basically the only exciting ones for a young adult. The rest are good for kids. So basically, the excitement and amusement is pretty short lived. Oh, and did I tell you that the only Ice Monster joint anywhere resides in this park? No matter what age you are, for sure everyone enjoys theme parks. Last year, for my friend's 19th birthday celebration, my barkada and I went to Enchanted Kingdom. Since it's his last year of being a teenager, he decided to relive his childhood days. This is the perfect place to go to if you want to feel like a kid again. You'll get to experience flying, gliding, and crying (LOL) all at once. My favorite ride in Enchanted Kingdom is definitely the Space Shuttle. The moment I saw the ride, I knew I was in for a treat. When I finally buckled down to my seat, I squeezed my friend's hand. The ride builds up the thrill by backing up slowly then moving at full speed. I remember I was shouting and screaming "AYOKO NA" and "HINDI KO NA 'TO KERI"! At that point, I don't even care if people will laugh at me for the things I've been saying. I didn't open my eyes and I didn't move my body (I was that scared). It was a scary experience, but if I were to be given an opportunity to ride it again, I would definitely go for it! At 26 years old, I'm still enamored by Enchanted Kingdom. To me, it's a magical place where troubles are left at the entrance. As a child, my favorite rides were Rialto, Log Jam, and when I got a little bit taller, the Space Shuttle. I went there twice last year, and only the Rialto failed to impress me. Unfortunately, it wasn't anymore the full movie experience that it used to be. The movie was simply a clip from a full-length feature film and not anymore a first-person video customized for the Rialto experience. The Log Jam was as intense as ever, and I still didn't mind dripping dirty water even in my very adult waterproof makeup and cute outfit. I guess inhibitions get thrown out as soon as you get in line to get on any ride in EK. The haunted house wasn't always present in my childhood, but now that it is, I'm glad. It's not the best horror experience a theme park can give you--it lasts a mere two minutes depending on how fast you run past the displays--but it's still a pretty fun walk when you're clutching onto a good friend. There are much more food choices now, and I have to say that the indoor restaurant (I forget the name) actually serves really good food! I honestly didn't expect much from it, but it was fantastic and not so expensive! If you're tired of the hotdogs and junkfood the third party concessionaires serve, try this restaurant. read more

E-K-I-LOVE-YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU To anyone who hasn't been in Enchanted Kingdom in the last 4 years, they added a new ride. It's called Disco Magic, and it's basically a spinning disc that plays the EK theme song on loop while you're strapped onto the side of the disc screaming for your life. Basically, it's the best ride in Enchanted Kingdom, with the sole exception of the amazing Space Shuttle. Enchanted Kingdom of course isn't the best amusement park in the world, but it's got plenty of fun, charm, and for adults, a hell of a lot of nostalgia. EK has the amazing ability to take you to a world outside of your world. Enchanted Kingdom is probably the most reputable amusement park in the country, and for good reason. Not only are its rides probably the best, the entire area has a very focused theme. It's just a very charming place. Even if you don't ride anything, the place and its childish, magical energy is just fun to experience. I'm supposed to be at this phase where I'm like "wew, I'm an adult na i dont need rides hwahwahwhaw" but I'd still gladly ride Space Shuttle 5 times in a row if I could. EK is also the host to Outbreak, which I've never been part of, but is a sign that EK is looking for new, innovative entertainment experiences. I'm excited to see what EK has in store 10 years down the pipeline. read more

My brother, cousin, his girlfriend, my SO, and I got tickets for Enchanted Kingdom! YAY! Last time we went there, I was a senior in high school and it was raining so hard it looked like a water park. Now, it's sweltering hot and dry. It's a good thing it wasn't as crowded as we expected. PROS: They've been in the amusement park industry for years so you know that they know what they're doing, especially when it comes to safety and efficiency; For 600 pesos for a weekend ride-all-you-can ticket, there's so much to do that you can make the most out of that price; The bathrooms are immaculate. It was clean and spacious and they have toilet paper and paper towels. There were no lines too because there's a lot of bathrooms. YAS; This is amusement park food we're talking about so we weren't expecting much. But surprisingly, they have lots of concessions and affordable prices. The Ice Monster kiosk became our HQ of sorts; Lines aren't as long as we thought, too. CONS: If you've been to amusement parks outside of the country, you can't help but notice that EK is actually quite small. Yes, you still walk around and you get pooped at the end of the day, but the space and theme is no Disneyland, and the rides (even the more thrilling ones like EKstreme and Space Shuttle) are nothing to Six Flags; If you thought that all you'd spend are the tickets, think again. Food is decently priced, but they could accumulate if you keep buying bottled water (there's fountains around though!) or snacks while strolling. You also have to pay separately for some of the attractions like the go-kart and the 7D zombie shooters. Plus, they have these 50-peso games where you think it looks easy but takes a lot of skill. You could end up like us blowing 450 pesos for a stuffed raccoon. TL;DR: This is the one-drive-from-Manila away amusement park of choice for the majority of Filipinos. EK is an institution on its own and has provided fun for years. We had good fun that day. read more

How can I possibly begin to approach the magical adventure that is Enchanted Kingdom, also known as EK, also known as the best theme and amusement park in the country! I'm sure a lot of great things have already been said about EK so I'll just cut to the chase and talk about my favorite rides, the hardcore ones that have been there for several years now. UNLEASH THE... ...EKstreme Tower. Alright, so it looks puny when you examine it from the ground. You might glance at it and think, that's it? But then it climbs higher and higher. Until it reaches a point where you can behold a spectacular view of Enchanted Kingdom, all the way up to the parking lot. it's actually really high. You hear a click when the machine hits the edge, right before the sudden drop. Then the fall. AHHHHHH! And just when you think you're about to hit the ground, the ride comes to an abrupt halt. Thank God. The Space Shuttle is a roller coaster that looks normal as it's climbing up the steep incline until it stops and drags you in reverse! Over sideways and under through a magic roller coaster ride! It can be stressful, yet strangely exhilarating. Once you've experienced its dizzying loops and gravity-defying turns, first in reverse, then normal, then reverse again, you can see why The Space Shuttle, looming in the background like a dragon, has become something of an EK icon. Water rides like the Log Jam and the Rio Grande Rapids are generally fun too. Only with the Rapids, whenever I'm with a big group the waters never seem to splash on my side. Everybody gets a little bit wet on this ride but usually only three or four people are absolutely drenched. My friends and I like to bet on which one of us get splashed on by that giant waterfall, but it's never me. I don't get it.   And...nothing to say for the Anchor's Away because it terrifies me. Don't get me wrong, I'm down for rides that get my adrenaline pumping. The ones that make me forget I'm scared of heights and throw my arms up and cast all my worries away to the wind. But the pendulum swing of the Anchor's Way is too slow, too prolonged for me to handle. After all these years, Enchanted Kingdom has kept its magic and continues to cast new spells on the public. With recent additions such as the Disk-O-Magic, a truly torturous ride that involves way too many rotations, it looks like Eldar the wizard and his kingdom are here to stay. read more

When people hear the words "amusement park", only two places usually come to mind: either Star City or this. For years, Enchanted Kingdom has always been a place if not the place to go if you want the whole amusement park experience: rides, mascots, fun for the whole family (or the whole barkada), if you will. Even if you don't ride, there's still something for you to do. I have to admit, there's a certain schadenfreude to watching your friends screaming about how getting on this ride was a bad idea and silently patting yourself on the back knowing you saved yourself from something you might regret later. But the Space Shuttle was an experience even for someone who doesn't really like riding as long as it involves high drops. (Protip: don't go to the last car if you don't like drops.) If you don't fancy screaming your lungs out, you could always try your luck with the booths and see if you can win anything but don't be surprised if you come reeeeeeeeeally close to actually taking home something. My only thing is that the park staff is super strict about food and beverage that don't come from the park. Once you get in, you have no choice but to get food and water from their stalls so be prepared to shell out more than thrice what you would pay for a bottle of water if you get thirsty. read more

Enchanted Kingdom beings back memories of childhood. I remember going when I was 8 with my best friends and we had a blast. We went on Jungle Log Jam, Rialto and Rio Grande Rapids so many times. I was too scared to ride Anchors Away at the time, but I went back years later as a teenager with my friends and my crush. He cajoled me into riding Anchors Away and silly me couldn't say no. What a cute boy can do sometimes. Create your own memories at Enchanted Kingdom for PHP 500 on weekdays and PHP 600 on weekends. They give discounts to birthday celebrants and senior citizens. I've been to Enchanted Kingdom probably around 4-6 times - with the reasons for going include birthday celebrations, group outings, relatives being entertained for a day, etc. I've got a lot of fond childhood memories of the place. I was maybe 16 years old the last time I went, and to be honest I think the park shrank in size (but I probably just grew up). The Rialto experience wasn't really that fun anymore at that time, it was boring and the clip didn't seem to last as long. I also realized that there are not enough places to hide from the heat, so you're more likely to spend on their expensive water. While I seem like I'm hating, I still love Enchanted Kingdom as a whole. It's the better choice for an amusement park to show off to tourists, and although small, EK still has some fun in it for the big kids as well - my favorite rides are the log jam and the space shuttle! read more

The last time I had been to EK was back in 2009. Six years ago. But last weekend, I had the opportunity to revisit this place as a friend was hosting a charity event for the kids of Payatas and I wanted to support her. Obviously, EK is no Disneyland, California Adventure, or Disney World but to be completely fair, it isn't too shabby at all. I had a really good time on the different rides and what I did most of the day was eat. The food there is surprisingly delicious and super affordable! I cannot help but marvel at the beauty of living in the South! We are just an hour away from the most magical theme park that I have been to in the Philippines. Enchanted Kingdom has been around for several years but it has never lost its magic that people of all ages keep on coming back for it. I, for one, has visited that park for countless times already. Recently, my little fambam, together with my Mom and nephew were at EK for my husband's company-sponsored family day. We got there at around 10AM and there are a lot of people lining up for the rides amidst the scorching heat. The same attractions were still there. The ever famous Space Shuttle, a big roller coaster that has dual loops, is still a hit among the guests. I have let my husband bullied me into riding in it before we were married and I will never let him do it again. That one ride really scared me out of my wits! I kept on shrieking even when we were already cruising along the straight path. So embarrassing! Okay, let's go back to our recent EK experience. Since our son is only two years old, we were only able to ride the train, were most families with little kids are lining up, too. I was planning to take him to the Swan Lake and the Pterodactyl but the heat was unbearable that I decided against it. The grand carousel was too far from where we are so we forgot about it until we saw it as we were going to the exit. For those who are not so much into rides, there are plenty of skill booths inside the park where one can win huge stuff toys. We tried the ring toss but none of us won. My nephew tried to climb the hanging wooden ladder and was already close to the buzzer when he fell down on a huge inflatable. For lunch and snacks, we had shawarma rice and lugaw with egg (for our little boy) which we bought from the food carts. Some of the food items sold inside the park are more expensive than usual. I bought a Dilly Bar for my toddler and paid Php50 for it. I love how the management was able to maintain the cleanliness of the park and the rides are being well taken cared of. No rusty and clunky parts. Enchanted Kingdom is truly a magical place for all of us and it will always be that one place where my whole family will surely enjoy and have a great time. read more

Better clear those bladders before riding, otherwise, you'll be finding your pants sweating with you! So, what to try? I usually start off with Jungle Log Jam. A simulation of a cartoon lumberjack, embark on floating hollow logs and get dropped from towering heights that gradually rise after each one! Not up to par? Well, perhaps the infmaous space shuttle would be more your speed. Rip through a crazy course that includes a full 360 spin at blazing speed!
