Nice little coffee spot. I visited twice so far and this place has always full with people enjoying their time, or picking up. I had the Mazapan Latte, and was really enjoying it with the crushed peanuts, the owner his super friendly, and you can tell he loves what he does. Don't expect to get your quick fix, cause he takes the time to serve you with the good stuff.

Finding the place thanks to YELP, I went here nearly every day during my week 1 Laredo work trip where they made my peppermint latte perfectly every time. You'll find yourself laughing, cringing, then laughing again at the display of mugs and artifacts with their creative sayings and IDGAF attitude. I was so captivated upon seeing it that I bought a mug from them since the message about sarcasm on the mug called my name. I may purchase another one there next time I find myself in Laredo. This coffee place was a great find. The hotel I stayed at had a tear off pad of local coffees and a self taken coffee tour in support of Laredo tourism. The vibe was great, and the baristas were friendly. I asked for a cortado which was not on the menu and they had no problems making it. That's when I know they are a real barista. The baked items are self serve and included biscotti and muffins. Every ounce of this coffee spot oozed creativity and uniqueness. There was so much to take in and absorb. Enjoyed this spot and encourage a try to anyone traveling into Laredo for work. Will definitely be back.

As an all-vegetarian restaurant, it…read moreimmediately stood out to me because I don't always expect to find places like this outside of larger metro areas. But this visit reminded me that smaller cities can have really diverse, inclusive, and thoughtful food scenes too. The menu has so much to choose from. There are plenty of classic plant-based American-style dishes, but what I loved most was the large selection of Hispanic-inspired options, including tacos, burrito bowls, and other dishes that felt connected to the region. I ordered the fishless tacos, which came with three tacos filled with soy-based "fish," purple cabbage, avocado, and chipotle sauce, served with a bowl of lentil soup. It was a massive and very filling meal, especially with the protein, avocado, and soup. The space itself was clean, spacious, and inviting without being overdone. It was pretty busy when I went for lunch on a Friday, which was great to see. They also brought out a small complimentary appetizer with chips, nopales, spicy tomato salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese, which was a fun and flavorful start to the meal. Needless to say, I couldn't finish everything. I ate the tacos but had to leave some of the lentil soup because it was just so much food. They also have frozen yogurt and desserts, plus an area with packaged products you can buy to take home. I even noticed advertisements for El Quinto Sol at the airport, so it seems like they're a well-known local staple. I'm really glad a restaurant that caters to vegetarian diets is thriving in the community, and I think it's a huge asset to Laredo.

The yogurt has that perfect level of tartness that pairs so well with the sweet toppings. I chose cajeta, banana, and coconut. It was perfect. My complaint is that it's not served with a lid or anything to keep the goodies from falling all over your lap.

Everything stated was base off of my experience, I hope you find it useful. If you are looking for a great place to grab a bite other than Mcdonald's or any other fast food joint, you have to stop by Caffe Dolce. It's the place to be during your lunch hour or just to grab a bite to go. Luckily for me as I am currently attending Laredo Community College its close by. The overall look from the outside is similar to an older cottage home in New Orleans, around the French quarter area; it definitely does not feel like it's in Laredo. Its on a main street and its surrounded by trees. There's also an outside porch with such beautiful scenery feels like home, if the weather was right it would be a perfect spot to study or even hang out with a few friends outside. Let me start off with my experience at Caffe Dolce , the service was outstanding, restaurant looked very clean. Since it was my first time eating there, I wasn't sure what to try so I asked the cashier and he was so detailed with each selection on the menu I wanted to order everything! Every single item on the menu was healthy. The overall feeling of the discovered gem was really relaxing, as I waited for my food I looked at the art they had on display to be honest the art wasn't really my cup of tea but it was done right, I mean the details in the artwork was astounding who would've thought Laredo had such talent hidden away in downtown. My food came out pretty quick, I was able to smell the herbs used the aroma infused my my area, the presentation was unique I ordered a Panini "MAT" which consisted of Mozzarella, Asparagus and Turkey on a croissant. I felt not only good about my choice but the price was right. Also knowing that it was healthy also made me feel even better about trying Caffe Dolce. I also tried their all-natural cucumber lemonade and let me tell you it was so refreshing and tasty I was able to taste the lemon and the cucumber, and for me that's key in knowing that it is as natural as they say trust me I can tell, Anyhow It was paired up perfectly with the weather and my Panini. The order also came with a side, which was a pasta salad covered with pesto sauce looked delicious I couldn't wait to taste it . Once I took my first bite I knew I was eating something out of this world. Not only was it delicious the food is superb!, it was very satisfying to all my taste buds, words just can't describe all the flavors that my tongue was experiencing, my belly was happy and i was satisfied as i'm writing this as i remember my mouth is getting watery! I honestly felt as if I discovered a gem in Laredo abesides the normal tacos and more tacos it was different than just any restaurant in downtown. As I sat there and enjoyed my juicy Panini I was able to relax and read my Grassroots book, the waiter was also pretty discreet not to interrupt me but he still stopped by to see if I needed anything. I have to tell you if you are in the downtown area you have to stop by caffe Dolce it's a must! Trust me you will not regret the atmosphere is perfect for both young and older adults, I really hope that this business stays around for many years to come. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I don't expect a smile, to each their own, BUT I was asking questions about the menu, and she would just walk away. I made the line, I waited for my turn for her to make it seem as I was giving her more work or being a bother. I didn't get her name but she is the skinny girl. In addition, the establishment is small, so there is no door between the kitchen and the counter, so the blender was heard. With the blender noise and the customers talking; I couldn't hear/understand the employee. HORRIBLE!! Lastly, this is MY 2 cents, the decor found on the table is nice YET the wall decor are not appropriate for the establishment. No need to have frames that say Just DIY... especially when your customers are from all areas and stop by to the establishment to enjoy a meal despite what is transpiring in life or having lost someone by suicide. There is a snack place right next door. That one is AMAZING!

It was sweet and tasty, but not hot enough. I'm thinking the iced would have been better. No stars removed though because when the food came, I was blown away. I ordered the lox on sourdough and a side salad. The plate was beautifully presented. I dug into the salad first and OMG! The dressing was magical. It was bursting with fresh flavors, bright lemon zest, maybe a hint of Dijon. It was so good. I'm would order the salad over and over if I could, but salads aren't on the menu. The main course was equally mind blowing. The bread was soft and chewy, the salmon was accompanied by lots of capers, dill, cream cheese, and cucumbers. It was a perfect combination. My other complaint is that they don't open earlier, but I also don't live here so I can't be too mad. I will visit again!

It was busy at the time I entered (10:15 am on a Wednesday) but I was seated immediately. My server Ivan was excellent and brought me coffee and my food order quickly. Pancakes were great and Ivan even asked me if I wanted strawberry or blueberry topping on them. Of course I took the strawberries which put the pancakes over the top. Eggs, bacon and hash browns were delicious. I always enjoy supporting local restaurants and this place was loud, festive and enjoyable. First things first: I was super impressed. The inside is nice and the servers were great too, but our food stole the show. I got the Chicken and waffles and they were super good. There's always something about Chicken going well with waffles that somehow works, but thankfully it does. Wife got the El Gringo plate and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. We both wish we could have had more but for what we got it was really filling. If we ever do come back to Laredo we will stop by again. FYI apparently some or a good handful of the brunch plates come with pancakes on the side, according to our server, but it's not mentioned on the menu.
