All of the tattoos were done by Scotty Potty and he is a great artist, just don't let him scare you with his bitter, angry, old man thing. He is actually a super friendly guy and has a lot of interesting things to say. My one piercing done here was from Steve and it was a 0g punch on my left lobe to fix some old scar tissue. It turned out wonderfully and I couldn't be happier. Steve has a great "bed side" manner and really knows his stuff. He always explains what he is doing and what to expect next which is great. The prices are good, they have a nice selection of jewelry, and their are plenty of artists to choose from so you will probably find someone that can do whatever you have in mind. Just bring in some reference material or a solid idea and they can draw it up and jam it into your body permanently!

Temple Body Arts is a clean, cool looking studio. It does not try to be pretentiously hip nor over the top swanky. I worked with Nic, the owner on my latest piece. Nic was great with communication. Setting up the appointment was easy. Putting down the deposit was also very simple. He told me he would have something drawn up for me when I got there and to my surprise, he did. This was literally the first time I have ever had a tattoo artist have something drawn up before I got there. Typically they tell you they will, then they forget or get busy doing other things and have to draw something up on the spot. He worked with me on the sizing of the tattoo and the placement. In hindsight, this was also the least painful tattoo I have ever gotten. Of course, depending on where you get a tattoo will determine a lot of the pain, however, I felt he had a soft touch. Of course, none of that means anything unless the tattoo turned out the way I wanted it. I can honestly say that I am thrilled with how it turned out. So much so that I will definitely be returning for future pieces. Highly recommend the shop!

I paid way too much money for the amount of mistakes I received in my tattoo…read more I got pierced here and that was a pleasant experience, so i felt good about going back for a tattoo. That said, when they said my small pencil tattoo was going to be $100, I knew I was getting ripped off, because the larger tattoo on my right arm only cost me $60 elsewhere and is pristine. That said, I assumed I was paying for quality, so I paid for it. I was wrong, as you can see in the photo, there are several random dots that were not a part of the design I sent over. In addition, the tattoo artist began arguing with me about including mistakes from the scan image including a grey tint to the photo and the graph paper the design was drawn on, which I did not think I needed to clarify I didn't want. I really don't want to be negative and am trying my best to be happy with the end result, given it's there now and forever, but I'm not gonna lie I'm really upset about all the mistakes made, especially given the amount I paid. I can't help but wish I had gotten tattooed anywhere else, or even gotten one of my friends with Amazon-ordered tattoo guns to do it. Finally, the guy at the front desk was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing him every time I made him look up from his phone to take my money. If my tattoo turned out fine, I literally wouldn't have cared at all. But it was just another thing that frustrated me about this experience. After talking to some friends about this experience, I've learned that many other students have had similar negative experiences as well, and that apparently within the tattooed student body they're known to do stuff like this. I really wish I'd asked around more before scheduling an appointment here. Yes, I really downloaded this app and made an account just to write this review. It's the only thing I can do about any of this at this point besides sit in my room and stew. I feel bad saying all of this because the guy who tattooed me was very nice. At the same time, he's a professional charging aggressive prices, and I do not feel like I received what I paid for in the slightest. I hope in leaving this comment I can help others from making my mistake. I'm debating whether or not to get the mistakes covered, on one hand they're several random dots/smears that are invisible from a distance, but on the other hand it's my body and I don't like how messy the final result is. I don't like that every time I look at my wrist all I can think about is how I should've stood up for myself and argued more and tried to get a price reduction. Especially given how my last tattoo was only $60 and turned out clean and crisp, I can't help but feel that because I paid $40 more for 4 mistakes, I paid $10 a mistake.

I drove over 100 miles to have Steve do it. A year later my son died. I drove the 100 miles to have Steve do my tribute to my son. Today I made the drive again to have him do my 5th tattoo that says "God Only Knows". I have never have bad service, a bad experience, or a tattoo that has scabbed or bled as some of my friends have had at other places. I put my trust is Steve and Becca for their skills in design and artistic abilities. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
