I had a Recovery massage last night at their brand new store at The Glen Shopping Centre. The frontage is nice and the place is spotless as it is brand new. When I arrived at reception, I was greeted by the lady at reception, however I felt the Store Director who was next to her was unwelcoming. I was then showed through a door and got settled in a room with sofas to relax and filled in a form. This area is a no phone zone as they want their clients to relax before the massage experience, which I thought was pleasant. However, behind that door which I came through, all I could hear was loud talking and it went on for the whole 15 minutes whilst I was in the waiting room (a no phone zone, relax and have a cup of herbal tea as I was advised to arrive 15 mins earlier). What made the whole experience worst was there was vacuuming happening down the corridor. All I could say is it wasn't relaxing at all. The massage rooms were very nice and tranquil. I enjoyed my 1 hr of massage. After the massage, back out at reception, I was once again faced with the same unfriendly store director. There wasn't much exchange of words (it was rather awkward), and when she saw me standing there, all she said was "Thank you" and that was it, there wasn't any questions like how was your massage, hope you enjoyed it etc. etc., Well I went there with a gift card, I hope to think that they don't treat Gift Card holders that way. I did enjoyed the massage that's what I was there for, but considering I had it at endota Spa, I probably had expected a more warm and friendly environment. I chose The Glen because it's near me. I have heard good reviews on other locations, maybe it's just a poor choice of location on my part. read more
