Since we already had received our insurance settlement, Cameo was able to provide a reduction in replacement cost, as they only had to deal with us for payment. The whole replacement process was very professional and efficient. It felt good to work with Cameo. We got their quote and finalized the contract in late July, and the roof installation was done on 8/17. Materials had been delivered a couple of weeks earlier, by a company that hires vets. An ex-Marine drove the truck. Nice. The roofing crew started work early on 8/17, and they didn't stop until everything was done. It took about twelve hours to do that, and the new roof looks great! Dan Ferguson arrived shortly and quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitator and had the unit up and running in a few minutes. We were told that the usual after-hours fee is $200 (which is reasonable under the circumstances) but since we were members of the Comfort Club, that fee would be waived. When Dan was finished, he told us that the unit was still under warranty and that there could also be no charge for parts and labor. So, after-hours, holiday weekend, quick fix, and zero charge. All good reasons to participate in the Comfort Club offered by Chapman. I have lost count (somewhere around five or six) of the number of furnaces Chapman has installed for me over the past half-century but always prompt and efficient service; house is warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
