Actually, I still live a rather adventurous lifestyle, so I can't really make that statement. Anyway, this station can be a little deceiving as it appears simply to be a row of shops, that is until you are right on top of it. The bridge is one of those pretty cool bridges, and the station is pretty awesome as well. Okay, it's a railway station, but still a pretty cool one.

I thought this was a major station, but often waiting an hour for trains, as many skip this…read morestation. It's also grubby, busy, with people smoking on platforms.

This is a seriously major railway station in that I believe that literally all of the trains end up…read morestopping here, or at least all of them with maybe the exception of the countrylink trains. However, you can be certainly guaranteed of getting a train here - maybe not a seat on the train, particularly during peak hour, but you can certainly get yourself a train. It is also one of those stations where you can catch trains to different parts of the city, without having to go in, and then out again.

Mind you, much of that has been replaced by the newer section up along the road, but the old main building is nothing short of gorgeous. Mind you, I was somewhat annoyed that the toilets were closed, but then again that does happen every so often, but it was a nice place to sit at while waiting for my train.

After the recent renovations the station looks much better. Its clean and I have noticed recently…read morethat we even have some new big pot plants to make it the station even peatier. The station is very straightforwards so you will never get lost (like some at central station) and have only one entry/exit too. There is a space to lock and leave you pushbike (I wish it was more of that, I don't think that's enough) and there is a toilet too (yay!) Sydenham also have fast trains to the city which I am a big fan. Only one thing is missing....a good coffee shop at the station or just next door... anyone willing to open one??

This is a major interchange station, but that has a lot to do with it being on the junction between…read moretwo train lines. The place is pretty accessible, and quite close to the main town centre, as you would hope to be the case when it comes to railway stations. It is also fully serviced, but once again it is something that you would probably expect. Oh, and the trains are also pretty frequent as well.

Just tap a card or a phone payment app to get in and out of the train platform areas. Then it was super easy to figure out what platform would lead you to your train. Trains came reliably on time and I was able to get around to the rest of Sydney with no problem. Highly recommend.

I was staying in the Central Business District area for the Sydney Marathon and came here to catch…read morethe train a few times. You can enter the station from George St or even access the station from the lower level of the Queen Victoria Building. There are a lot of signs and screens to let you know which platform to wait for your train. It was very convenient that I was able to pay for my train fare using Google Pay.

This is another one of those really old stations that are rather nice, however, sometimes I'm not…read moreentirely sure whether aesthetics really count for all that much, particularly when the station lacks facilities, and also isn't all that accessible. Well, that seems to be the case with this one, though when all you are doing is waiting for a train, waiting in a nice building does help. Oh, and trains also seem to pass this station rather often.

This is basically a railway station where two lines cross perpendicularly, the reason being that…read moreone of them is the airport line, which was recently constructed - sort of - when I say recently I am generally referring to for the Sydney Olympics as opposed to having been around since before I was born. However, it appears as if development has taken place around here as well, though in part this station still sort of feels like it is in the middle of nowhere.

However, as a station it really isn't all that bad, and is pretty accessible. Then again it is a subway station, so that is sort of expected.

There's also a lot of construction going on the area, so it makes navigating this station not as enjoyable. Can't get lost though-- there are only 2 platforms here.
