They sell pretty much everything you might need that you wouldn't need a mechanic to sort out. Many parts can be ordered if need be, and although they have shifted their focus towards silly neon lights and glowy things to stick to your car (basically stuff that 17 year-old boys would buy for their Citroen Saxos) they still have a good selection of tools, cleaning materials, camping equipment and other regular spares. And they sell bikes. Again not the best bike shop compared to the likes of Cycle Surgery but the bikes they sell are decent value and good enough for most people. This branch has a decent sized car park which is pretty good considering how close it is to Central London.

They are reliable and have never let me or my family down and by dad who is quite savvy when it comes to repairing cars swears by them. The prices are more than reasonable, not necessarily cheap but that is hardly their fault as a lot of spare parts come from manufacturers at a price. Parking is available outside the shop or in side streets around the shop. If you need car parts in Erith, Belvedere or Bexleyheath then this is a good place to track them down.

I ordered two new tyres for my VW Golf Mk1. Muna (owner) undertook the below with care and professionalism: * switched my front tyres to the rear * sandblasted the old rear rims as they had rust, to remove said rust * bead sealed them * balanced the wheels * put the new tyres on the front. All of the above was done in a genuinely friendly manner. Muna talked me through what he was doing at each stage in easy to understand terms which helped me to comprehend. He also provided advice on a number of other matters. I was talking to Muna throughout as he had lots of tips and advice. AMS Motors is a family business (three generations) that has been operating for over 40 years. Even though I got there at 9am, I witnessed a lot of repeat customers coming in which demonstrates the trust, brand loyalty and experience they have built up. I found this a refreshing experience and would highly recommend AMS Motors.

It sat in the same spot for 3 weeks, no one called or updated him about the car. He begged everyday for a call about the car, and someone (Kevin, Jo, Richard, etc) was going to call us back, and they didn't. The first call he received was to swap his car out for a temporary car so THEY didnt fail an audit. The absolute audacity to call when they want something, but not even update him on his car is dreadful. Turns out, after taking our time to drive to Richlee, Jo told us it was the hot potato no one wanted to deal with and hadn't even been looked at. Richard is never there, and when he is doesnt communicate with his staff, because allegedly Jo and the mechanics needed his go ahead to fix the vehicle and he didnt answer any calls. He then gave me a price that was less than a third of the most expensive quote and less than a half of the cheapest quote. Marshall is a true mechanic and knows exactly what he's doing and so I was extremely happy with his work. However, it was not just the quality of his work that impressed me. He had a real easy opportunity to make a few hundred pounds extra by quoting me more for the manifolds than i had been quoted by my previous searches. He knew what the cheapest price was that I could get them for and yet, after managing to get them much cheaper, he told me what he got them for... £1,100 cheaper !! Not only is he a really great mechanic and a trophy winning drifter (racing cars) but he is a real honest tradesman. I would highly recommend his work, his knowledge but also his honesty. It's a bit insulting when they returned my car with new and dangerous defect both times I give if for them for a simple service! Each time It's been running fine when I dropped it off, but the 1st time I used them, as we drove through France the vibrations around the brakes was so strong we had to stay around 50mph until we could get back and have the brakes changed. A year later, I though, fair enough, it might have been a one off and I'm always quite Brixton-centric, but this time they broke the Diesel pipe for the diesel filter so that car was leaking fuel very obviously when they gave it back. They are shut on Fridays (not mentioned) and we had a boat to catch, so another garage (Manolo - grumpy but great) opened-up and found that off the hoses they had accidentally pulled-out (a few meaning that the car have almost no power above 30mph), the fuel filter connection have been roughly bent and broken. When they re-opened I told them and he promised to pay for the damage, and them never did. Don't bother. Go for the atmosphere, the dappled light through the grease covered skylights, bit don't go with your car.
