I made a huge mistake!!! I went to this location for a complete tune up on my car before moving…read moresince I drive an older model car; I wanted to make sure it was road ready for a 16 hour drive. Oil change, new struts, new spark plugs, new alternator, new AC condenser, new belts, the works... Everything they recommended for my year car I did. Immediately following the service my car was squeaking, brought it back and they said I was ok it was just the belt working itself out. Almost a year later, the brand new alternator went out. Called. Thankfully still under warranty, but I had to bring the vehicle back. I now currently live 16 hours away.... Brought it to the nearest Express Oil, which was 4 hours from me, to have the alternator replaced under warranty. They stated that it was because a belt related to the alternator was not put on correctly which was the reasoning for the squeaking and the alternator dying within a year. Now with this hot heat, every time I turn my AC on my battery light on my vehicle comes on and everything stops working. Called again and they said I would have to bring it back to the nearest express oil to have it looked at again. I cannot afford to drive another 4 hours... So I have been driving without AC this entire hot summer due to the issues. My vehicle is an older model, but I never had ANY issues until I went to this shop to have a complete workup done. The employees I have spoken with have been very pleasant, but all of these mechanical issues coming following that visit have just been miserable. Don't have work outside of an oil change completed at this location.

We had already called an Uber to take us to a hotel, so we unloaded our luggage and waited on the side of the road. The driver insisted on staying with us until the Uber arrived, telling us he wasn't going to leave us stranded. He also took the time to recommend good local hotels and let us know which ones to avoid. The driver was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cared about our safety and well-being. This is a tiny little gas station out in the country. You can find it just off I-16 exit 32 (SR 112…read more- Allentown, Montrose) in the small town of Allentown. Note: At the time of writing this review, Yelp has an incorrect map marker for this gas station. I've submitted a fix and hopefully a Yelp moderator will correctly accept it by the time you read this. The station only has 4 pumps. When I visited, the pumps were a bit worn and the displays were hard to read. At this station, you actually pump first and then pay inside with cash or credit card. When I walked inside, a polite young lady behind the counter had a notebook with all of the pump prices owed handwritten neatly in succession. After I paid, she crossed my price off the list. Old school. The entrances to the restrooms are located outside, but you have to go inside the convenience store first and then back out through the back of the store because access to the restrooms directly from the outside has been blocked off by a chain-link fence. I used one of the two restrooms. It was very small, but clean enough. They had run out of paper towels inside the restroom so they let me use the roll sitting on the counter inside the store. As I was leaving, a burly old man dressed in camo entered the store and asked the lady how her mother was doing. There's an abandoned gas station across the street. It looks like a great setting for a (horror) movie.
