We then ordered more of the same wine, the Bonaccia salad, and the Parmigiana di Melanzane con Ricotta Salata. The salad was SO good. It was perfect with lemon and delicious olive oil dressing and an even mix of lettuce, cooked diced potatoes, olives, octopus, sundried cherry tomatoes. The eggplant was a fantastic texture, not too soft but tender and the cheese on it was immaculate. We were too full for dessert but the waiter offered us free limoncello shots as a night cap. He then offered us a free glass of wine to try and later on a second and a third. This is why it was a pleasure to stay even longer as intended. A few years ago it was better. I think that Tuna is not only becoming harder to find but also much more expensive so the variety of fish isn't as great as it used to be. My favorite is an "old one" and it's a salmon with cream cheese slightly fried with a sliced strawberry and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar on top! Mmmmmm! The ambiance can vary. At times people can be obnoxious and stuck up (speaking of the patrons). There are cool "beds" to eat on which if you are not in the right outfit (like short skirts/dresses) it can be uncomfortable. Therefore sit at a table. The waiters are wonderful people! Especially Sammy and billy Joel. (Yeah, not THAT billy Joel clearly). Great attention. Great food.
