He's super personable, makes you feel so comfortable- and most importantly, he is highly skilled and experienced. I love going to see him and I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS leave there feeling better than when I arrived.. actually, as soon as the needles start going in, I feel better. It's like the air releasing out of a tire when he begins needling, my nerves LOVE it- instant relief. Acupuncture does have a cumulative effect and I have def seen the benefits of going on a regular basis. There is a small parking lot in front of the entrance, and if that's full, there are plenty of places to park nearby. The waiting area is clean, calm and inviting. The rooms are cozy and the beds are comfortable & heated (optional)- it's overall a very relaxing experience. Also, he takes insurance, so def ask him to check yours. I came to see Enso for my son and ended up using the session for myself. I listed several health issues I wasn't sure acupuncture could help. One of them was sleep. After the first session, I was able to sleep through the night without tossing or turning. I was also pleasantly surprised that it helped with my recent snoring, which never happened before! I waited a week or two to see if there was a placebo affect after the first week. It has not come back! Now he's treating me for peri-menopause and recovering from ACL surgery. Getting close to a scheduled induction, I scoured Yelp for acupuncturists in the Bayside area and called and emailed a few options. Brian was the only person who emailed me back. I appreciated his clarity and flexibility in scheduling me for the following day. The office is very clean. On this specific day, unfortunately there was a bit of noise upstairs due to some work being done by the landlord, but the whole appointment was otherwise very relaxing. Brian helped me understand what he was doing and has a naturally calming demeanor. His next client happened to cancel, and he even offered to give me a little bit longer treatment. The ~50 minute induction treatment was $85, which was also on the cheaper side of what I had been seeing on Yelp and others' websites. I had caught a cold a few weeks ago. Recovered mostly after a week, but a lingering dry cough just wouldn't go away. The coughing was unbearable during nights, i could not get a good sleep. I spoke to Brian, who was confident he would be able to help. During the session, I was shocked I wasn't constantly coughing while lying down. I went to this place about a year ago when I had horrible stomach pains. I went to the doc, and after 3 visits, he couldn't find anything wrong. The doc visits cost over 300 bucks, and the only thing he told me was to stop eating meat, vegetables, and fruits.. So, what the hell am I suppose to eat?? I went on that way for about 2 weeks, when I decided to try this place out..I went for one visit, it cost me 90 bucks, and Brian spent 2 hours "healing" me. Not exactly sure what he did..needles and things..but it worked. My stomach pains stopped that night. I went back to Brian a few weeks ago b/c I'm super stressed out with a bed bug problem...and once again..healed. The relaxation/needles/funky smelling roots of some kind really makes a difference. After struggling with chronic tendinitis from typing in my elbows for 4+ years, I have *finally* found relief with Brian. I only wish I had found him sooner! Physical therapy, massages, cortisone injections, nothing would solve my typing-induced pain. But now as I type this, I'm pain free. (Just have to make sure I don't do it for too long in one sitting!) From the very first visit, Brian worked his magic on me. I was very curious to hear all about the techniques and understand what he was doing and he obliged me, explaining things in simple terms that us non-healers can understand. When he left me alone after my initial needle insertions to relax for about 20 minutes - well that is something I will never forget. I could literally feel my body synching back up with itself. My legs and arms throbbed (in a nice, 'this is working' way' in this beautiful rhythm. I'm a believer! I left feeling invigorated and slept that night more soundly than I had slept in a long time. And the next day, my arms felt fantastic. At that point I was worrying so much about my arms hurting all day every day, but I remember that day - a Saturday - I went to a party and shopping and came home and thought 'wow I didn't think about my arms at once.' So that's my story. Here's a few other things I'll break out for you: THE PROCEDURES: They don't hurt, despite what you hear all the time. Brian is gentle and has a great, calm way about him. I feel more pain from bumps on the subway in rush hour. He tries different techniques too and is very innovative. In addition to typical needle insertion, he stimulates my inflammation and I feel an incredible twitch of release. He's also treated me with Japanese techniques involving incense. THE ACUPUNCTURIST: Brian is a true professional. Calm, caring and really into finding out just what your body needs. He asks questions, gives answers. He's patient and someone I completely trust for my treatment. He's also a fun guy to talk to. Ask him for restaurant recommendations! THE LOCATION: This is a fantastic one. Near all the major train lines. I just changed jobs and had been coming from the far west side. Now I'm upcoming from around Rock Center and it's just as convenient. Easy to find too. Nice, clean office, calm colors and very zen. Treat yourself and finally get relief for your problems. Or ward off new ones! My arms feel fantastic and I don't plan to stop seeing him.
