I ended up renting a car from this location, and it was a very positive experience. A number of different staff members helped me at various points, but they were all very friendly and helpful. There was a small mixup around our original pickup for our rental, but that was resolved with an apology. I will NEVER use this location and probably never use Enterprise again after my experience here. The "manager" did not put ANY of the damage I pointed out to him then gave me his personal cell number..."in case" there was any problems. Which was very inappropriate. When there was a problem he did not answer. I was given an OLD dirty car that smelled like smoke and when I dropped it off they claimed I did all the damage to it, including hail. In the 24 hours I had the car it didn't so much as rain. The amount of damage they put on their claim was absolutely absurd. There was hail damage but they removed the name plate and windshield? The pictures I received showing the damage didn't show either of these places on the car having damage. The people I dealt with at this location were shady and no help whatsoever. Truly one of the worst experiences that I have ever suffered through! I had a reservation for a month in advance of my rental and when I arrived after confirming the day before they did not have the appropriate size truck. The horror continued as they gave me a price of the smaller truck. $50 off of what the larger truck would have cost me! Believe the 1 star reviews!!!!!! I should have! I called for my rental car to be delivered. Brandon said he would send a shuttle in 20'l minutes . I asked if there was another way since I am not comfortable in the shuttle and he said find another location and hung up. I have never had a rental place ask for references in order to rent a car. Yes, they can refuse a debit card or charge a higher deposit, but these people wanted me to provide names and phone numbers of coworkers to verify my identity despite having a license with a current address in the state I was renting, insurance, proof of employment and a work ID on hand. I told him I had no ability to provide that to him being a single person newer to the area and had I known ahead of time I would have just brought my credit card. I just wanted to pay cash for the whole trip. I called before coming to verify my appointment and payment method and none of that was provided to me over the phone as a requirement. And, their corporate office had no written information that stated this is their policy. Seemed really shady since I never have had to do that at other rental car offices. I was definitely upset because I'm renting the car to go see my aunt who is soon to be transitioning due to her battle with breast cancer. I think what made me even more upset was the fact that one of the employees began to laugh as I became upset. I'm telling you I'm trying to go see a dying family member and your response is to laugh. Thankfully I was able to use another office that didn't make me give references to prove my identity with a state issued ID. Just not good business practice to assume your consumer is a flight risk when they are giving you legitimate verification. At a minimum, I would have brought a credit card with me instead had I know this was policy upfront. read more

Completely awful! Made a reservation via 800 number, called the location to pick me up from a few miles away and was told that they are short staffed, have no cars and that it will be about 2 hours but that they will call me back and come get me. Never happened! I was left with my kid and his car seat trying to find a car on a Saturday when other places close early. read more

The rental car they gave me had a interesting smell. The steering wheel had a weird sticky feel to it. Also the BRAKE lights kept coming on while I was driving, the brakes kept sqealing and the car kept flashing that it needed an oil change. I personally feel that it should be their job to provide their customers with a SAFE car to ride in and not provide us with a lemon. I will never rent from enterprise again. read more

Enterprise has (from what I found) the best prices around. They are my go to place to rent a car from. They are able to pick you up and drop you off from where you are which makes things so much easier. I have never had an issue with any car that I have rented. They all seem well maintained. This location has always had cars available when I make reservations. Parking is terrible here - if you can use the pick up option do it. Some employees are more friendly than others but I have never been treated poorly. They get a bit busy around closing. Don't be in a super rush if you are coming in just before closing. Reserved a car 3 weeks ago for pickup at 7:30AM and had to wait an hour before it arrived. Was not offered anything at all for the inconvenience. Now I am being overcharged as well. Set the drop off on Sunday to use their convenient lock box while closed. Guess what, you get charged for Monday anyway!!! They just don't tell you that. Horrible experience!!!! Back in late August my wife and I had a reservation for another company at the airport but unfortunately we both can have our IDs. So I had my wife make a reservation at the Enterprise near us just to see if we can get a recloser one that we had. At the time they only had a Lincoln navigator to rent and we had already budgeted for how much you wanted to spend in a navigator was way too much. Reserved an intermediate car, tried to give me a compact. When asked if it was an intermediate, the rep and a co-worker confirmed that it was an intermediate. I called another Enterprise and they confirmed that a Ford Fiesta is definitely a compact car. This Enterprise gave me a free day but still charged me like the car was still an intermediate car. I didn't question it, I was just ready to be done after pulling the okey doke. Change wouldn't have been made without me doing further investigation. I made a reservation less than 24 hours before I needed the car, and they had exactly what I needed. I was a few minutes early and the car was ready for me! While I had the car, there was an issue with the windshield wipers and the fluid would freeze on the windshield, thus making it hard to see. But when I reported this issue upon my return, the customer service rep gave me 20% off the rental for my trouble. I definitely will use this Enterprise location again. My husband and I just returned to the U.S. after living overseas for 3 years. Our licenses expired while living abroad. We were told we would have to wait a week to receive our new licenses in the mail. After a terrible experience at Thrifty yesterday where we were told they could not except our temporary paper licenses and ended up having to leave without a car we were nervous as to how we would be received at Enterprise. Well, I have to say, Garrick, was extremely helpful. He had no issues with our situation and we were in and out of there with no hiccups. My in-laws where in town and we needed another car. Car was booked 2 days prior for 12:00pm and I asked to be picked up from my home (we'll pick you up!) 1:30 came and still no one showed up. I called there 3 times asking where the driver is and every time they told me he was on the way. After my 4th call the guy on the phone said the driver went to my house but I did not give them my number to call when they arrived. What?! I called you 3 times asking where you are sir! I had a pretty bad experience with this location. My rental was scheduled for 8am but nobody picked me up until 8:45 (enterprise offers pick up service). When I got there they ran out of cars and needed to call one of the auto shops to have someone drive some cars over. I didnt get out of there until 9:30 which definitely set me back for my day trip. This location offers overnight drop off which is great. There's a key box right outside of the front door so I was able to drop the car off on Sunday evening vs monday morning. read more

I had a bad experience with this rental location. I had a small car accident and must sent my own car to a dealership nearby for repairing. The other party's insurance covered my rental car. After filing the insurance claim against the other driver, I was promptly contacted by this location to schedule a pick-up appointment per the insurance company's instruction. I was satisfied with the smooth process until this point. At this location, an Enterprise employee showed me my rental car. It was a VW Beetle. I was not familiar with the car thus I asked the employee to help me to start the engine. She did so. When I entered the car, I could not hear the engine sound. I expressed my surprise to the employee. The employee gave an affirmative answer that no engine sound is very normal for a new car and she has just started the engine. Detrimentally relying on her words, I switched the gear to "D" and attempted to leave the parking lot. Without my knowledge, the engine in fact was not started. Since the car was parked on a upward slope, it started to slope down. As I acted as quickly as possible to step on the break, the car's bumper gently touched the wooden light pole behind it. As I stepped out of the car, a lady assistant manager who just came out of the office loudly and rudely claimed that I caused the damage and requested me to surrender my credit card and insurance information. Her behavior made me feel embarrassed. Without further assessing the damage, the lady assistant manager filed an insurance claim against my insurance company and charge $500 on my credit card immediately (insurance deductible). While she was doing all these, I inspected the damage and noticed that the damage on the bumper is extremely minor to a degree that almost unnoticeable if you don't pay particular attention on the bumper in a very close look. I then took a photo with my cellphone. As I was getting a little angry with the whole series of incidents, another gentleman manager came out and helped me out. He assessed the damage and said it is the least damage he had ever seen. He told me that it should not be a big deal and he will handle it and will notify me whether they need to continue their insurance claim and charge me $500 deductible. During our conversation, I learned that he is not the manager of this location and he was temporarily transferred from Germantown Enterprise to this location to help and the employee who initially showed me the car and helped me to start the engine was a new employee in training. He gave me another rental car and I drove away. Later that afternoon, I received a call from the gentleman manager confirming that the damage is too minor so that they will not pursuit any insurance claim against me and they will refund $500 to my credit card. The next day, I received confirmation from my insurance company that the claim was cancelled. Until thw day of writing this review (the 12th day since the incident), I have not yet received the refund of $500. I also contacted my credit card company. They confirmed that they have not received the refund from Enterprise.I made numerous calls to this Enterprise location and cannot receive an affirmative answer and a reasonable explanation. In one occation, they even put me on hold and never talk to me any more. I was holding for more than 20 minutes. Extremely poor customer service!!! I am very disappointed with the Enterprise service and attitude at this location and two dumbs up to the Germantown Enterprise gentleman manager's professional attitude and conflict handling. read more

It took over another hour to get a vehicle for me and when they gave it to me it was completely empty on gas. Fast forward a little time later they charged my card for Toll even though my EZpass paid for the toll. Talk about a nightmare trying to get that resolved. so I am not normally someone who complains....but i got a ride to this business to get my reserved car and once we arrived I saw their were about 8 cars in the tiny small parking lot that is about the size of my basement. At that point i was a little confused, but gave them benefit og the doubt and decided to give them a whirl! Once i walked inside the lobby and noticed their were about 9 people inside waiting....I wasn't a math major...but knew this didn't add up. After about 10 mins waiting in line, I finally got the priviledge to get to be first in line and the gentlemen at front desk was super nice and told me how sorry he was.....but then he told me to sit down and that they had no cars for me, but was promised a car would be on it's way(even though I was 4th in line) after a few mins...I was able to sit in the one chair that was available(all other one's were taken by customer's waiting for car's to arrive). after about 40 mins....i finally got my car! Just a little tip to a company that rents car's....maybe have a larger parking lot...maybe more than 12 spots...sorta ridiculous....NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

I've been renting a car from the Gaithersburg N.Fredrick Ave. Location for the past 3 months and to say I'm dissatisfied would be an over statement. There employee by the name of Noel S. Is by far the worst. From harassing phone calls to blatant disrespect are just the beginning of my issues here. Let's get specific, I called to inquire about a charge on my cc. I called the office asking for Keria whom had been handling this particular transaction. When I was told she was on the phone and cut it the person I was speaking to who turned out to be Noel help me. I said yes and stated my concern with the last charge. Noel then went on the defensive telling me that I have a severely outstanding Bill do. This was untrue I had paid my outstanding bill and in addition paid through the following two days.I intern stated she was incorrect and asked to speak with Cara noel's response was laughter followed by a snicker and she pursued to say she's going to tell you the same thing but if you want to hear it from her then I'll just need to wait. So I did and in the interim I was not put on hold I could hear everything being set on the other end and what she said to work coworker next was astonishingher exact words were the person on this line is such a piece of trash they can't pay their bills and I'm consistently calling having to leave messages because they don't answer their phone and I don't know why we're still dealing with people like that. People like that I explain to my wife what does this woman mean are we not up to some standard do I need to change is there something wrong with me what does this girl mean. read more
