Firstly we had no problem booking the house, the web site is well laid out and you can book online safely, and you get your confirmations etc, so it takes the ease out of reserving and phoning for confirmations. We booked the Ardmullen 3 bed house , there was 5 of us and it was perfect, the houses are well laid out, all modern and well finished, so it became a Home away from Home for the 2 weeks. The house is less than 10 mins walk into the town centre, so it is perfect if you fancy a pint, and easy to walk Home afterwards. We had a great time in Kenmare, it must have been 15 years since I have been in Kerry, but Kenmare was a great base, as there is plenty to do and see there. Jer was a pleasure to deal with, and even the last night he called to the house, to see was all o.k, it was a nice touch especially since he works so hard, as well as the houses he has a very busy Bar & Guesthouse in the town centre. When he called we were just talking and i said that it is a pity that we are going home tomorrow, all jer said was ' when are you back to work ' and i told him that i was back the week after, and all he said was that he did not need the house for 2 days and we were welcome to stay on, we did at no charge ( well i think we were lucky as the other guests were not arriving until 2 days later ), but it was nice, i can highly reccomend Kenmarerentals.com as there Holiday Homes / sel catering are the best we have stayed in so far. The best thing was that myself and my wife stayed until Thursday, as Jer reserved a room for us in the Guesthouse, O Donnabhains on Henry Street, really nice. With all that is happening in the Irish economy, it was jice to get a way and relax, and feel relaxed going Home. We are booked again for Chirstmas and New Years, and cant wait to get back, even now with the roads it only took us just about 4.5 hours from Dublin, so it is not the end of the world any more. treat yourself and go

Maps did not work, ac controls did not work had to roll windows up and down for air, the front passenger seat heater would not turn off and came on by itself. My wife had to sit in the back seat the whole last day. Still a week and not communication from the management there.

You have to leave a deposit also on the rental. When I returned the car I got my deposit back in less than 24 hours. I returned the car about 40 minutes late and I was not charged for the extra time I had the rental. Pick-Up and Drop-up was both efficient and friendly. One recording said to call "AA" and gave a number. When I called that they put me in a recording loop and no one would answer. So far, they will not refund this charge. We were stuck for 3 hours and were saved my a local but missed a big part of our agenda. Furthermore, I received a Garda speeding citation that was sent though this group and the agency charged me $50US to forward the citation. They also did not warn me about any car monitor or automated speed checks for going 113km in a 100km/h. Essentially going 70mph in a 60mph zone. They could do way better and be way more helpful to their customers.

It worked out OK for us as it was drizzling when we started but we got quite a bit of time with no rain during our Just over an hour tour. Now because it was off-season, we were actually the only ones on the jaunting cart and so I really had our own private tour which was amazing. Maybe it was less amazing for Michael who had to answer strange questions for my six year old. Lol. The cart takes you through Killarney national Park, which is really lovely and we saw so much wildlife, especially Deers, which was really cool. We rode all the way up to Ross castle and although it is closed for the season, Michael gave us 10 minutes to walk around and get some photographs . Michael was full of great information and answered all of our questions. It was really a lovely experience and I would highly recommend it. We booked our tour online in advance and were picked up at the great southern hotel. Our horse was Queenie and she was beautiful.
