This is the most unreliable business I have ever dealt with. I have been in a car accident a week ago. Other driver at fault. My insurance progressive set us up with them for a loaner. Ever since we have been there waiting, sent back home, told we were gonna be called when they would have a car ... They never called we had to call non stop and then the location manager Ray promised last weekend we would have a car ready first thing in the morning it's almost 11am we called back car was not ready, Ray didn't communicate this with her team and now she is on a cruise for 6 days. I'm a veteran and Corp member of Enterprise renting across the US regularly. This was hands down the worst rental car experience at an agency in 30 years. (I have had to rent from 3 wheel john on da plane island)).) They have NO inventory, though their location web doesn't reflect this), no cars on site, over promised and Never delivered, and yet the customers are being difficult? On a 5 hour reservation, for a mid-size SUV because my client is 6'4, we wasted over 2 hours or our 5 waiting, even though I called ahead to confirm the car. Finally, after corporate became involved, TWO HOURS LATER, they offered a beat-up mini van. NO Do yourself a favor and walk up 2 blocks and rent from Sixt. Enterprise saved my vacation today, thanks to Christian and Michael (I think was his name, sorry). After Thrifty on 16th street did not have any cars despite a prepaid reservation, saying all agencies in South Florida were booked and there was nothing they could do, this Enterprise location confirmed availability and were simply kind and efficient to get me on the road as soon as possible. From prompt checkin to walking me to the vehicle, I was in and out in 10 minutes. They were kind, flexible and the office was much nicer than the other Thrifty office I visited in Miami Beach. First, if you're gonna be hanging in south beach , Uber to your hotel, and hang out till you need to get around, then come here. Much cheaper than from the airport. This office is very very good, the staff is very helpful, it's not busy, so if you make arrangements for a car, pick it up here when you need it. It's no surprise this Enterprise branch has 2.5 stars out of 5. **SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE of doing business here**. I rented a car on Monday Nov 2nd. As seen in my contract I told them I would return the car on Friday Nov 6 AT 6pm. When I told the woman I was returning it AT 6pm she didn't mention they close at 5:59pm. I arrived AT 6pm on Friday Nov 6 and all the doors where closed, I went around to the Enterprise window and saw the branch manager Michael, the woman who rented me the car and another female employee. I knocked on the window swinging the key telling them I was returning their car. They started gesturing swinging their hand over their neck meaning it was "cut-off/closed". I told them my contract said 6pm and they kept gesturing "cut off" even more aggressively. The manager also gestured to return the car the next day. They didn't even have the consideration or professionalism to come outside and talk to me. I was back in the car by 6:10pm STUCK w a car and had to reschedule my flight I had scheduled for early the next day. When I went back the next day to return the car, an employee, Mary was telling me that I wasn't there at 6pm the night before. Was extremely rude and said I "wouldn't arrive at the airport for a flight when it was taking off", which I thought was a poor analogy. I asked her if I could have a ride back to my hotel as Enterprise advertises. She was extremely rude and said they didn't have staff available to give me a ride. I went inside the building to speak w the manager at Enterprise. The gentleman working the desk of the building told me I could've left the car in the garage w the key under the car seat but of course, the manager Michael and the employees didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to suggest that the night before. When I went to speak w Michael the branch manager, he didn't even apologize and kept saying they close right at 6pm. When I asked HIM if I could get a ride back to my hotel, he said he didn't have someone to take me right away but if I waited 20-30 mins someone could take me. My trust with them was zero at that point so I opted to take an Uber to my hotel. Please do not bother to tell me to write to care@enterprise.com because I have already done so and will take this to the highest corporate officials. Lesson for me in this whole ordeal is to check Yelp reviews prior to doing business w any company. Had I seen ALL the valid POOR reviews I could've saved myself much trouble with these rude, unprofessional employees. read more

Imagine my surprise that I was able to get both a last-minute car rental for a decent price AND receive pleasant conversation and helpful service? Where was I? What was happening? DON"T RENT FROM THIS COMPANY ! This is a complaint against Enterprise Holdings Inc., Enterprise Inc. and Enterprise Rent a Car for deceptive sales practices, fraudulent business practices, and poor customer service. On October 7, 2019, I made a reservation for an Enterprise rental car to be picked up at 11:00 AM on Thursday December 26, 2019, at their 1000 5th St STE 100 Miami Beach Florida 33139 location. One December 26th 2019, I arrived at the Enterprise rental facility located in Miami Beach. The Branch Manager told me that my reservation could not be honored due to the fact that they had no vehicles to rent to customers at that site. Furthermore the local Branch Manager advised me that there would be a two to four hour wait for a car to be rented to me. The Branch Manager told me that the company took more reservations for vehicles then they had in inventory. There was no attempt by Enterprise to notify me of this situation. The Branch Manager lied to myself and other customers that vehicles would be delivered to his location from other Enterprise Offices. This was not the case. For six hours I witness countless families upset, enraged and disappointed that their vacations were ruined because they too were not issued cars with their reservations. After waiting six hours I was finally issued a car. Not the full size car I had reserved, but a compact car that I accepted in desperation. While Enterprise waived my rental fee of $157.95, I was still greatly inconvenienced and upset that my vacation was ruined due to the six hour delay in the issuance of "a vehicle" which category I didn't reserve. I find this type of business practice unacceptable. This company is greedy by overbooking reservations for which they know full well they don't have the vehicle inventory to present to customers. Don't believe the company's "reply". They did nothing! I have referred my complaint to the local BBB and the Miami Dade Department of consumer affairs. Update: Don't believe their response. I can't say enough good things about this location! Maria, Jonas, and Ryan are incredible. They go above and beyond to find the car you need and make the process as easy and stress free as possible. They've saved me many a time when I needed a car last minute to get to work. They really care about the customer and provide excellent service with a smile and friendly attitude, even if it's a stressful day. I've rented from many companies, and Enterprise consistently has the best customer service, pricing, and experience every single time. I'll be seeing more of these three for sure as I only need a car occasionally and the process is just so convenient. Tip: Reading some of these reviews I see that the negative feedback is mostly based off of inventory discrepancies. Unfortunately, it seems that the Enterprise reservation system allows customers to reserve cars that are not physically present at location and will not necessarily be transferred automatically. However, if you call the number for this location (press 4 and then 2 to speak with the branch itself) you can confirm availability and Maria, Jonas, and Ryan will either make sure they have your car when you show up or do everything they can to bring it over if it's not already there. I recommend to corporate Enterprise to update this system in a way that is easier on their customers and employees. In my experience, there is no penalty for a missed reservation, which creates inventory issues down the line because a reservation does not guarantee the car will be there for you. If this were fixed so that you could only reserve what they have there, and you were incentivized to actually show up, soooo many issues would be fixed. We rented a car from Enterprise in Miami Beach twice this past week. On Monday the agent we dealt with, Peyton, was a very personable young woman but she seemed to be working alone (although there was someone in a back office). She had to get our info and then go get the car in the nearby parking garage. That ended up taking about 45 minutes--a fair bit of time, I thought--and she very kindly gave us an upgrade for the delay. Two days later we rented another car for the day. We had booked tickets on a boat out of Key Largo that left promptly at 10 a.m. so we got to the Enterprise office even before it opened at 7:30 a.m, so we were first in line. The paperwork went quickly--under 10 minutes--and then the fellow went to the garage saying he might have to do "some touch-up cleaning." What, they don't clean the cars before people show up to rent them? We waited and waited. After 20 minutes I went to see what was holding him up in the garage. He was nowhere to be found. Eventually, about a half hour after he disappeared, he returned with our car. That made our trip to Key Largo a real rush and we barely made the boat. Why doesn't Enterprise do what they do elsewhere: Fill out the paperwork, give you the keys, show you the car and check for damage, and let you drive away? I've never had an agent at the airport say he had to go make sure the car was clean first. One other thing that only applies to people like us--Canadian renters. Enterprise takes a $300 deposit from your credit car and then refunds it after you return the car. The trouble is, banks have different rates for selling you US currency (or any currency for that matter) and buying currency from you. (This has nothing to do with fluctuating exchange rates that can change by the second.) So we were immediately charged $300 US. The bank charged us $1.38 for each dollar. Then after we returned the car, the bank credited us with $300 US, which they offered an exchange rate of $1.31. (The exchange rate for buying US dollars was still $1.38.) So I lost about $20. I'm sure other car rentals operate the same way. What I can't figure out is why they don't just put a hold on the $300 (an authorized transaction) and then delete it before it becomes a posted transaction. That way Canucks like me wouldn't lose a cent. read more

Horrible! We showed up to pick up our car and there was only one person working. The waiting area was totally full and more people waiting spilled out into the building lobby. The enterprise guy had to physically walk each person out to the car which must have been some distance away because each time the process took about 15-20 minutes per person waiting. It took us over an hour just to pick up our car. And we had already filled out all the paperwork the day before!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Do not use this rental company whatever you do! read more

I was disappointed with the LACK OF BUSINESS ETHICS they have here. My car was hit from behind and the party at fault's insurance was paying for the rental car at Enterprise. The car Enterprise provided me BROKE DOWN TWICE in the first 2 days. I exchanged it at the 1000 5th St Ste 100, Miami Beach location. Even though I specifically pointed out the insurance was paying for the car rental, they UNPROFESSIONALLY CHARGED ME. When I saw the charge on my statement they DENIED TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE or return to me the charge. I went several times and called many times with MARIANA, the manager, but she only kept saying she couldn't get a hold of her boss to resolve the issue. We waited for 30 minutes, and after that they told us that your car is in another location (downtown) and is being cleaned!!!! It's one hour passed our reservation time and still no car! They ruined our only day in Miami! I don't know what the reservation is for if you don't get your car on time or at least in an hour window!!!!!!!! We have already paid for the car and are stuck here, they reimbursed us for 15$ which is far less than the $200 flight and $100 hotel that we paid for. We had an awful experience, Enterprise should be ashamed of this kind of customer service and wasting people's time. The male manager of this location deserves 5 stars, but there is a female who works there who made me deduct points. She is very hasty when responding to your questions and the information she provides is not consistent with other information that I receive. I picked up my car from Miami International Airport (MIA) and was told that I can drop it off at any Enterprise location without an additional charge. When I dropped the car off, the female informed me that it would be a $50 charge for dropping it off at a different location. She insisted that this was the case, but we informed her that we had already confirmed there would NOT be a charge and the manager came out to tell us everything was okay. The male staff members were much nicer and even offered to drop us off at our hotel so we did not have to walk. read more

From the moment we waked into the door, the staff was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to provide me with quality customer service. The only downside was that this small branch has a limited amount of vehicles. Thus, we ended up waiting almost 20-30 minutes to pick up our car. However, the staff gave us an upgrade to a convertible and a discount due to the inconvenience. Even after I'd returned the car, a manager approached me to ask about the customer service AND I received a call from the branch manager to follow-up on their service. Quite frankly, I have never received such attentive customer service from a car rental place. even the busy airport Enterprise branch provided me with top notch, attentive service when I used it!
