Do not rent from here. We rented a car for a week. When it was time to return the car, my husband went to the office and spoke to the rep about extending the rental and the total additional cost. We were comfortable with the price and agreed to keep the car for a few additional days. After returning the car, Ryan from this office called my husband about settling the bill. We were obviously confused because we rent cars from National Car Rental all the time and once you turn the keys in, it's done. A simple email settles the bill. Over the phone, Ryan stated that the total amount owed was $300 more than the price that was given when my husband went to the office and spoke to the rep. My husband explained that that was not the price quoted and actually displayed on the computer by their rep at the office. Management said they would look into it and call us back but never did. Deceitful billing practices at this location. They give you one price in person and then increase it after the car is returned. I would never rent from an Enterprise local office again! read more

Frequent renter from this Enterprise when I'm back in the US. My experience with them has overall been really good. Prices are usually better than other nearby rentals places and customer service (especially from Mr. Washington) is on point. My main issue with it is I wish they had a better selection of cars (Hertz is usually better for that, but also usually costs a lot more) but what I've gotten over the last few years of rentals has been overall good. If you're renting on a weekly rate they have good deals sometimes. Always cheaper than renting from airport locations. I don't have any sort of "status" with Enterprise and still get consistent high quality service. I also like that if you forget to bring the tank back full there's a gas station literally right next door with low prices. You don't even have to go back out on RT 1, just roll on over. read more

The representative confirmed all the details and asked me to give call back around 10:30 when I was ready. I called at 10:30 and they kept me on hold for more than 40 minutes. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL THIEVE YOU FOR EVERY PENNY YOU'VE GOT. This company imposes fraudulent damage claims upon consumers of Enterprise Rent-A-Car who do not buy their insurance. They will tell you that your insurance company will not cover you so it's "in your best interest" to buy theirs, which of course, is completely bogus. If you refuse to buy the extra insurance, they will find pre-existing damage on the car that you had not noticed during the initial inspection, and gouge your for JUST below $500 ($491 in my case) so that they don't have insurance companies sniffing around to uncover the fraudulent activity. Furthermore, when I attempted to send the documentation attached directly to the branch, they thrice provided bogus contact information in order avoid receiving the correspondence. First, they provided a bogus fax number. When I called and they claimed to never receive the fax, the Enterprise representative provided an email address with a slight typo "hisname@earc.com." When it bounced back, I called again, more firmly asking for the CORRECT information, which he then provided as "hisname@rac.com." I repeated this back to him and he confirmed. After googling for the correct email domain, I found the address to be "hisname@erac.com." I called once again to confront him of his thwarting tactics and he denied ever giving wrong information, though I had him on speakerphone and have other parties who can vouch that he indeed gave me the email address I claim. I also attempted to approach Enterprise corporate, to which they directed me to a man named Tarek. Not only was he condescending and abrasive, his resolution of the situation was to inform me that the damage fee was not $471 anymore (which is what they originally charged my card, even before getting an estimate from a repair shop), but a higher rate of $491. He even had the audacity to tell me that the company does not benefit from charging higher rates from damage fees, as if I did not understand the concept of simple math. I requested the contact information for the repair shop, and they have yet to provide it. After my father spoke with the two representatives, it was finally negotiated down to a $90 damage fee, which I still find outrageous due to the fact that we did not cause any damage to the vehicle at all. As an employee for a non-profit blood center I take pride that my work involves keeping the blood supply above critical levels in order to keep the community safe. It is disheartening to have scandalous companies and employees attempt to take advantage of me and steal the money I earn by performing work to help the community. I urge you to bring your business elsewhere as I am sure this is not the only incident in which they have taken advantage of innocent, trusting, and unassuming customers. read more

There is no need to review the Enterprise car rental place but I checked in here-- and found some negative reviews which were not matching up with my experience so I decided to write a quick one. I have rented from this location since the were on route.130 so its been more than few times. This is a brand new location (or re-location) right from off route 1, I always had great customer service experience at this place with either them picking me up from my house, dropping me off or the whole rental car process. This is the second time I've rented a car from this location, the first time everything was fine, no problems at all, today's experience wasn't bad but the attention to the details was lacking. To start with my insurance company made all the arrangements for me, I called a few days before picking up the car just to confirm and inquired what would they need from me. The answer to this was a credit card which I don't have so I asked about a debit card, they said sure but they would place a hold on $100, my wife suggested using one of her credit cards, which we did, and they placed a hold of $250 against the card. Why the inconsistency? In the commotion to get the car that didn't occur to me until later. So they said they had a car for me, it had just been brought in from another rental. I've read other reviews that state this location doesn't have much of a selection...those reviews are correct! My wife pointed out that the exterior was dirty and they offered to bring it to a car wash...I didn't want to wait, she wasn't happy, but I didn't want to wait, I did agree with her that at the very least they could have cleaned the windows and given it a quick vacuum, they have those tools on site. Another thing that didn't thrill me was as soon as I started the car a light started flashing 'change engine oil' and we were about to drive 5 hours into upper New York State and then another 5 hours back, but drive it I did, heck it's not my engine. Lastly the day after we rented the car we got a phone call from the agency inquiring was there any baseball equipment in the car. Well had they cleaned the inside they would have known that the answer was no and when my wife called back, during office hours, no one picked up and neither did voicemail...glad we weren't calling to say due to the low level of oil we're stuck. I must say the people working at the Cranbury location are very nice and I do like that Enterprise will pick you up and drop you off. Would the above make me not rent from Enterprise or not rent at this location? No, but the next time I'll leave myself some extra time for an inspection and wash if needed. read more

Horrible service. I booked directly on the enterprise website and here's my experience: - They called me 2 days before my booking to confirm my reservation. I already MADE a reservation online! Don't call me, I'm a busy guy! Welcome to the internet age where we don't need extraneous telephone calls. Ever see that Seinfeld episode? "You don't understand what a reservation is, do you?" - They tried to bill me with some extra daily-fee me since I was leaving the tri-state area which was NOT on the website, so I forced them to honor and waive the fee. They also tried this with the guy next to me while I was standing there... - After haggling over the extra fee I sat for 15 mins in the lobby and the they tell me me car is outside. Once outside I am told we're driving to East Brunswick to get my car!! I was furious at this point after wasting my time and all of the haggling over what I already booked online... And the girl driving me gave me an attitude when I commented how ridiculous this all was. So I was 1 hour late in starting my trip because of they're moronic methods. Just let me sign a contract and give me the keys. The folks at this place should be replaced by robots soon. Go to the Enterprise in New Brunswick on Rt 27, they are good there. read more

I am a frequent Enterprise car renter and this branch is one of the worst I have seen. Sharing an office with an auto repair garage already looks unprofessional. Some of the staff is friendly but the small location lends itself to a poor representation of the company. Beware of the very minimal selection of cars. At other branches if they are out of the car you reserved you get an upgrade (usually free or at a discount for your inconvenience), this small location doesn't have that luxury. You will be lucky if you get a car... a very poor setup if you ask me. read more

I rented a car from this enterprise location twice. The first time the experience was so-so. The assistant manager, Kyle, added prepaid gas to my rental without fully explaining what that meant (I had no idea was it was my first time ever renting a car) and then wrote the total on his receipt and not mine. The refund took a week to go through. The second time I rented a car from that location was through my insurance and the experience was horrendous. Once again, Kyle "helps" me and says a car will pick me up in a few minutes. I did not get picked up until an hour later. Come to find out, they didn't even have the car for me even though Kyle said they did. Awful experience, they say what they think the customer wants to hear, even if it is a complete lie. read more

I'm a frequent customer at Enterprise and have been renting every weekend for the past 3-4 months from the North Brunswick location. To my understanding, Enterprise key mission statement is based on customer service. Well, I have been dealing with Jamie and she has been awesome, very friendly, and professional and the list goes on. Recently, the Branch Manager Christina was recently promoted and that is when things went downhill for me. I had ONE encounter with Christina after I decided not to rent from this location any more but it was Jaime that turned things around form me and I decided to give it another shot since I had been dealing with Jaimie. Not only was the car not ready for me, she was trying to charge me after she stated she would give me a "courtesy" upgrade. I noticed on the bill that she was charging about $7.00 more in rate and proposed it as a "courtesy". When I questioned it, she stated that is the charge and that she can't give me a courtesy upgrade because I will expect it every weekend. She kept me in the office arguing for 20 minutes and I insisted I would wait for Jaime. Jaime walks in and fixed the situation within MINUTES. I spoke to Jaime about how unhappy I was with this and asked for the Area manager's information and she provided it for me. I made 2 more reservations with Jaime since that encounter and on the 3rd attempt of making a reservation I received a call the morning that I was on my way to pick up from Christina stating that she didn't appreciated how disrespectful I was 3 weeks ago and that her Area Manager is stating I can NOT rent from this location or any other location for Enterprise again. I was mind boggled at this point and I'm sure she got to her manager before I did so that she can make sure she had her ducks in a row. I then decided that I will take my business to another branch and drove 10 min out of the way to do so. I'm still waiting on the Area Director to give me a call and I will make sure this goes all the way to the higher ups. It's mind boggling how a repeat customer who spends about $500 month would be treated like this. DO NOT go to this location, the manager is incompetent and unprofessional!! I normally don't have problems with this location. The most recent time I've rented from them, they saved me the last intermediate car they had, which to me should have been considered an economy vehicle. But I needed it so I took it. I only needed the car for Saturday, but unlike other car rental locations, they don't check the cameras to see what time you drop off the car so they charge you for Sunday. Once again, although this is a sucky policy, it wasn't my first Saturday rental with them so I went with it. But what caused me to write this review, is that even though the car was there when they got in on that Monday morning, they failed to process my refund. When I finally called on Thursday to inquire about it, the gentleman told me it was done on Tuesday. My own car needed immediate repairs which caused me to have to find rides back and forth from work, daycare for my infant, and practice for my other kids. I NEEDED the refund to pay for the repairs. So when the money was still not refunded to my account on Friday I called again. This time, I was told that my refund was processed THURSDAY morning...which was when I spoke to the guy who told me it was done Tuesday. He blatantly lied to me! Not caring about how this may have affected me. That really changed my views on this location and the company overall since I already received horrible service from another nearby Enterprise. They offered very little recourse...telling me to call my bank to see if they could call them for a transaction code to receive the money faster. I needed the money yesterday. My wknd is down the drain and I will have to find a way to work for another whole week due to me not being able to get the repairs fixed this weekend.
