My employer has a contract with Enterprise, so all of my work related car rentals are from this location. The staff here are fantastic, friendly and helpful. They are very focused on putting the customer first. The Enterprise rental fleet seems to heavily favor the Chrysler products, though I have ended up with the odd Chevy and even--once--a Prius. Absolute shit. I have been a loyal enterprise customer for years and will now be switching loyalty brands. When I picked up my rental car at the airport, they didn't have any midsize vehicles that I had reserved, only a very small Mitsubishi. Figuring I'd be an easy customer. I took the Mitsubishi. Huge mistake!! Since I got the car, it has been making a very concerning noise with the transmission. I'm worried the car is going to stall out while I'm on the freeway!! Since I am staying 40 minutes from the airport, I took the car to the enterprise location closest to me and requested a swap. Pretty standard no-frills not asking for an upgrade, just to swap to a car that feels SAFE at the very least. I was met at the counter with an attitude saying there is nothing they can do because there system is down, then they tell me they can't communicate with the airport location because they don't have a phone? I showed them the phone number on my contract, to which they said I should call them. Cut to me getting a half assed customer service call, no service from the actual location, late to my job site where I will now work in the heat since I wasted my time this morning. I rented a car recently from the Enterprise in downtown St. Paul. The car was dirty on the outside and inside when I picked it up. There were sticky spots on the dash, interior and center console. I also had a maintenance required light on in the dash of the car, which I had to stop back to the location to inquire about. When I dropped off the car, I told the woman about all of this. She apologized, and said she would send me a discount for a future rental, when she emailed my bill. However, my bill arrived, but no discount. I called the location and asked her about it, and she said she was busy and I would see it soon. It's been weeks now and it still hasn't been sent. Terrible. read more

I cannot believe I did not yelp this place prior to "choosing" this as my car rental during the time of our car repair from Ci's fender bender. My bad!!! Hunter from Enterprise was at Bonfe with the car on time which was nice. He was in the usual Enterprise Uniform. He was pleasant and we went out to the car. We looked the car over and I did note a ding on the rear driver side back door. Hunter tells me " It's OK; They won't charge for that anyways, we don't need to put that down. I must say I am leary of this comment now as I read these reviews but we finish the inspection, I give him a card for a deposit of $50 and I drive off. The car makes horrible rattling noises from the rear end but I really don't care as I won't be driving that much but I cannot believe Hunter did not feel how shaky the car was on his way over. Later that day, Hunter calls and says my card declined for the $200 deposit. What? You said you were only taking a $50 deposit. Having had worked at Enterprise 20 years ago, and seeing customers so angry because of Enterprise charging their cards for more than agreed, I purposely gave them a card with only around 100 on it just in case....Who tries to run a card for more than what was agreed upon without calling first? He then tells me Farmers doesn't have the direct bill set up... SO....I have to take care of this, call and email Farmers, they email me assuring me that direct bill is set up. I call Hunter back to inform him of this and all he says is "Ok, sounds good, I will run the $50 on the card." Ummm....Don't you want the person's name from Farmers I talked to?? The reservation number?? Nope....Ok..Buh Bye... Other than the shaky, rattling, car the week is whizzing by, and all is well...Until Jess, from Enterprise, leaves my daughter a message on her cell phone about the direct bill being denied...I call Jess back and ask her why she called Ci who is not even old enough to rent a car, when my number is on the contract and Hunter was dealing with this on Monday and it was all taken care of. "We have searched our system and nothing is there" We need full payment on the rental before noon tomorrow"... and by the way, your card denied for $200 but went through for $50. Uh huh...That's what I was told the deposit was. I tell her I already went through this with Hunter on Monday and after some snotty banter between the two of us, she agrees to take down the Farmers Claims rep's name, number, reservation number, and try to figure this out. In the meantime, I get another email from Farmers telling me they have no idea why Enterprise keeps saying its denied, the claim/reservation is in my name as well as Ciarra's. I feel sorry for the Farmers Claims rep who I wish I could yelp and award five stars! More to come......Well, I hope not but either they will finally get this straight with Farmers or they will sneak into my garage in the dark of night and take back the black rattler. *Only giving two stars because Hunter was on time and he was very pleasant. I rented a car from Enterprise at 395 East 7th Street in St. Paul, MN from Feb. 18-25, 2015. When I returned the car the Manager did a quick 5 second inspection and found a dent on the fender. They said I was responsible as it was not noted on the rental sheet. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DENT THIS FENDER! It was an obvious attempt to get someone to pay for it. It was clear to me that they knew the dent was there beforehand because it took 5 seconds to find it. An employee from a business next door said that he saw the dented fender when I first picked up the vehicle, thereby making me not liable. But without this eye witness I would have been liable for something I didn't do! What a nightmare! This attempt by the Manager(s), Alex Hein and the female manager to charge me for something that I didn't do was beyond obvious. They both had a smirk on their faces and could barely contain their laughter. Do not rent a vehicle from this location. This probably should be brought to the attention of the Better Business Bureau. The odds of having an eye witness are a million to one ... this won't happen to anyone else accused of damaging a car so don't take your chances renting from this location! I would be curious to see how many people paid for damage that they didn't do .. maybe an AUDIT would be a good idea. Alex Hein is a liability for Enterprise. His mistakes, whether intentional or accidental are inexcusable! WATCH OUT!! I am in my 60's and have rented many cars over a 40 year span. This is the first time a rental company has accused me of damaging a vehicle that I didn't damage. Horrible experience!! Stay away from this location ... And I would be willing to take a lie detector test .. would they? Enterprise ... smarten up. Get rid of this bad seed of a Manager/employee. read more

My friend and I were going on a day trip to Northern Minnesota and wanted to rent a nice 'luxury' car. We asked what lucury cars they had in stock; we said we were hoping for a Lincoln MKZ or a Cadillac like advertised on the company website. The agent informed us that she didn't have any in stock and could get one in time from the Airport nearby. We arrived at 10am the next day to pick up and the car they lined up for us was a Buick...not my idea of a Lincoln or a Cadillac. When we said we didn't want it, the agent said "I wish you would've told us that because it costs us money." Then she rolled her eyes and made a disgusted noise and threw my friend's Id back at her and condescendingly said "have a nice day." Very dissapointing situation and very unprofessional staff. I've rented from Enterprise on 7th Street in St. Paul many times. The service is great. On my last rental in April they picked me up at a downtown St. Paul location within 5 minutes of the arranged time and also drove me back when I returned the car. The cars are clean and in good working condition. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I plan on renting from here every time I am in St. Paul and need a car. read more

Great rental car experience! Enterprise called to confirm reservation a day before we picked up the vehicle. When we arrived, the car we had reserved wasn't available so we were given a free upgrade and we were on our way with no wait. When we returned the vehicle, the check-in was quick and the charges were as previously agreed; no surprises. The staff were very friendly.
