STOP deleting my review before I take this to social media & corporate. Y'all, make sure you read their Yelp reviews--they're more accurate. I got into a car accident and had to rent a car for a month. In their system, I selected a car for $30 a day, but they put me in a $60-a-day vehicle without telling me they upgraded it. I'm pretty sure they stay silent about price changes because they get paid on commission. After having the car for about 10 days, I found out my insurance would stop covering my rental in five days. I was pissed. Their only solution was for me to return the car and switch to a cheaper one. This was during a snowstorm--I wasn't trying to drive since the roads were icy (and I was still shaken from my accident). But the next day, I returned it anyway. When I got there, they suddenly had no cars with all-wheel drive. Then they told me they "couldn't check" other Enterprise locations' inventory--which sounds like a straight-up lie. The manager also admitted that they don't tell people prices unless asked, meaning they purposely avoid talking about cost--especially when they upgrade you. That's shady and dishonest business. I ended up driving to a different Enterprise to switch my car. This location is slimy. Do not rent from them. I paid over $600 out of pocket. I prepaid just to avoid having to speak to them when dropping the car off. My accident was already traumatic, and they only made it worse. Both cars they gave me sounded like they were on the verge of breaking down. Since it was freezing outside, the windshield washer fluid was frozen, so I couldn't even use it. When I finally returned the car at the end of all this, all they had to do was hand me my receipt so I could leave. Instead, they tried to say I owed $700 (or maybe $7, I couldn't tell--but I know for a fact I paid over $600 two weeks prior and didn't owe them a dime). After some back and forth, they finally confirmed I owed nothing. Enterprise, do NOT reply to this unless you're refunding my money. I've already raised my concerns with the manager and their supervisor, so save your generic response. I've rented from Enterprise several times, but this was the worst experience. This location should be shut down. I hope karma handles the rest. Oh, and tell that manager to stop telling people to "have a blessed day" after knowingly scamming them. I give this a 2 because if you need a rental, you need a rental and I didn't pay given it was an instance claim. That being said I was very disappointed as Enterprise is known for better. Had I paid- I would have given a 1 and that's only because the staff was friendly on site. Pros: - the staff on site was pleasant to work with and tried to get me in a vehicle as soon as possible. - close to a auto body shop which made it convenient. Cons: - near impossible to get an actual time you can pickup the vehicle "there will be a wait" is what I was told several times. Haven't experienced this with a rental Company (including Enterprise) ever before. - my rental car was filthy! Only kept it because after the "wait" I had to leave immediately to make a meeting. Immediately upon getting home I cleaned the high touch areas and... the pictures are below. - the car needed an alignment.. or something. I chose this location (on St. Barnabas) because I called the Enterprise on Auth road and it sounded like someone picked up the phone then hung up. Oh well ... next!!!‍ Enterprise on Saint Barnabas road to the rescue! Chose them cause someone actually picked up the phone. The staff here exceeded my expectations. Here's how: #1. The team member let me know what I needed to bring to rent using my credit card vs. debit card. (Both forms of payment require a $300 deposit + the cost of the rental and a copy of your insurance (I had full coverage) However Debit cards also require 2 references). Knowing ahead of time helped me prepare with everything I needed. #2. Even though she was working with a long line of customers and managing the waiting room while staff helped other customers Jazmine kindly greeted me and let me know I would be taken care of soon. #3. John helped me through the checkout process and let me know ahead of time that there'd be a bit of a wait while apologizing for the inconvenience and Leonard got me squared away with the car, they really worked well as a team. #4. It's clean and looks nice in the waiting room. Some rental places are a little sketch, this is. It one of them. This was the worse rental experience I ever had. They asked me to be a enterprise plus customer so I gave it a try...this location was so unprofessional the staff was lazy, rude and uncaring of how they turned the rental over to you. What good is it to reserve under a plus membership if you not giving up the plus! 1st they held a 300.00 dollar fee plus the price of the rental. 2nd no gas (I had to pay 51.00 dollars) and the oil maintenance light was on. It was brought to me dirty inside and out, wet and smelly! And to top that off I get a email in the middle of my trip saying I owe a ticket...If I got a ticket I most definitely will pay but why ruin my trip with that foolery. I guess yall policy is to hold people's money and take what you want! Ugh I bet they will get the car back this morning smelling and cleaner inside that how I received it. I would have refused that car but I had my family waiting to go out of town...dont use this location...save yourself the trouble Update: the same nasty person the handled me Friday was the same one that check the car back in. In fairness Assistant manager Isaiah King remember me from Friday and offered an apology and a 10% discount on my next rental. Geesh let me go pay this darn ticket! Avoid their scams! Don't Go! Geico recommended this Enterprise location. It was in a convenient, but I regret ever doing business here. Geico made my reservation, but OF COURSE Enterprise seemed unaware until I showed them paperwork. Then they acknowledged me and "put a rush" on a vehicle for me. I waited 45 mins. The Kia had obviously been in an accident or two and had damage all around the perimeter. I have never driven a rental car that damaged before and was shocked that it was still in service. I was concerned, so I did a thorough walk-thru inspection with Jamaal who was "seemingly" notating the damage all around the vehicle. Jamaal never showed me the report or gave a copy, but kept saying "I see it." The vehicle had roughly a 1/2 tank of gas, smelled like smoke and was dirty AF! There was even a half smoked cigarette in the door. I took pics. I shouldn't have excepted this car, but I had to get to work. I checked my credit card balance a few days later and was charged $226. Livid, I called the company to inquire and Jasmine said that they had "mistakenly" overcharged me for a fuel (which shouldn't have been more than $5 worth in my opinion). I threatened to report them for fraud charges if I wasn't refunded immediately. It took a couple days and they still ended up charging me $20. A week later, I get an email stating that I would be charged for damage to the vehicle (no pics, no details). After calling around the next morning, they said there was damage to the door. I'm ready to hire counsel because this feels like a scam. No one will show me inspection information or call me back. I refuse to pay for damage I didn't do, especially when the car looked like HELL when I got it. The Better Business Bureau will be contacted tomorrow. read more

First of all, it was a smart idea to have a car rental place right next to an auto body shop. This alone alleviates stress. Someone else hit me and his insurance took care of the rental. All I had to do was give a reservation number. Ta-da, I got a rental car. I got a red Hyundai Accent hatchback. I think this was the first time I've ever driven a red car. My only complaint was that the seats were littered with stains! I mean, at least do some deep cleaning or replace the fabric. Other than that, friendly staff and prompt service! read more

Enterprise Rental in Temple Hills exceeding all of my expectations, especially after seeing some of the negative quotes on this site. The team at this location took every opportunity to put me at ease while my car was being repaired after a collision. To a number, they were each courteous, polite, humorous, extremely professional and totally customer service focused. Because of supply chain backups with parts, car repairs are really backed up. Enterprise Rental has been working with me to ensure I am not inconvenienced during this delay. They keep me informed on the # of days left and helped me to find the best rental option for me while repairs continue. The Enterprise rental vehicle was clean inside and out. I should've looked at the reviews before choosing to rent from this location. The previous user of the van that I was given, smoked weed in the vehicle. They tried to cover up the smell with several car fresheners. Pressed for time, I decided to keep the van and clean it myself before my family got in. While cleaning I found weed in a cup holder. This proves that Enterprise did not go the extra mile in cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting their vehicles between rentals as they claimed, especially in the midst of a global pandemic. The fact that Enterprise left the car fresheners in the van (Enterprise does not use them) indicates that they were aware of the odor. They still chose to rent the vent to a customer. So many things could have gone wrong for me and my family had I not cleaned the car and found the weed. I'm very disappointed. I'm even more disappointed because this location is operated by African Americans. We can do better than that. I won't rent from this location again and will not recommend it to others. read more

The car repair facility sent multiple texts to the location asking when they were coming, with three responses saying they are "pulling in now". I called and cancelled the reservation. Well first off let's talk about the store. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned ...ever, and sure could use at least a vacuuming. It is a pretty busy location if you get there after 5:00 pm, but the staff is actually pretty good at taking care of everyone as quickly as possible....it is a long wait though. I rented a car for 2 days and on the way home noticed that the tire pressure light was on ...I stopped and put air in the tire and thought that would fix the problem. Before I left for work the next morning, I had to put in more air...at lunch time ...more air. I called and they said my only option was to trade it in. I didn't have time to come back in and wait for a trade so I just kept stopping for air until I had to turn it in. I reminded the clerk that this had been an issue and she wrote on the back of a business card that I would receive I 10% discount on my next rental. I counted and in the 2 days I had the car I stopped for air 13 times ...I think that deserves more than 10% (equivalent to about 3-5 dollars) off my next rental read more

Geico made my reservation for my rental after my accident. I called enterprise that Monday morning spoke to a young lady who I thought was setting everything up for courtesy pick up. The time was set for 10:15. Ok. That time came and went. Next thing you know it's 10:45. So I call back just to have someone tell me it's not in the system they are gonna send someone now. Which turned into another 20 minutes. Get there and they have 3 vehicles a minivan, a small car I think it was a Kia, and a truck. I go with the truck. It must have just been dropped off. It was on a half tank, the I side was dirty, there were opened bottles of water throughout and in the back area it looked like Hayward being transported. The over all service was horrible. After I returned my vehicle from my rental I called into the office to speak to someone about returning my deposit. I was given the amount I would be receiving and it did not match what I had been told over the phone. The person I spoke to could not explain why and changed her answer several times. Her excuse being the previous person I spoke to did not write down an explanation. They then gave me an explanation that the time that I had put down to return my vehicle in my reservation was not the time I was supposed to bring back the vehicle. So I was charged an extra day. I had asked to speak to the manager about all of the things that each employee that I had spoken to had forgotten to tell me or should have told me and he blamed me for it all. I did not ask for a refund I just wanted to be heard and know that they would fix the lack of communication. The manager would not listen and was very rude. He talked over me and had a very disagreeable tone. When I tried to explain my frustration and asked him to speak to me differently he hung the phone up on me. This was not the only time I have rented a car from this enterprise but it was the first time I was shown incompetence and disrespect. Calling for the fifth straight time to get someone now its 4:38 pm. Frustrated; will be going into he office in the morning with all my paper work. Finally I get to talk to the claims dept of Enterprise and just tell me the same thing, their staff says there was damage. I'm like so you don't contact me to inform me, get my statement, show me evidence of the damage? On top of that the claims dept didn't even have pictures. What the hell? I left a deposit when I picked up the car because I used my debit card and they kept the remainder of my deposit, even though I was told that same day by the rental office that I would get the deposit back LIE. They rented the car I rented to someone else without "properly" closing my account FIRST. I called ON 3RD days after my rental because my deposit has been posted to my bank account. They said they would take care of it. On the 5th day I called again my money was not in the bank. I was told by the same obnoxious person (Kevin) that my account was not "properly closed" I told him I didn't want to hear that. Dropped off my truck at Marlow autobody for repair. Erie insurance made a reservation for me at enterprise next door. I was asked for family members phone numbers and where I work information. I was told this is corporate requirements. But I have rented from many enterprise rentals and never got this much trouble. I even have a loyalty rewards card with enterprise. Then I was giving a Toyota Camry that had several scratches on the trunk and around the car like it had been in a accident. I wouldn't except that. Next car was a white Nissan Altima which smelled of marijuana smoke. The guy sprayed with febreeze but that did nothing. It would be better if corporate made sure the cars where looking better and cleaner than how to annoy my friends and family. I drive a vehicle that is truly worth way more than the vehicle they want to give me and you wonder if I will bring it back. I set an appointment for 5PM, arrived at 5:05PM, checked in with a desk clerk at 5:25PM, and my vehicle is not ready. I won't be leaving until 6 most likely just before closing. GO TO BUDGET, THRIFTY or WHOMEVER!! STAY AWAY! These folks are unprofessional and try to overcharge you! Geico made a reservation for me after my car was totalled in an accident. I called and set up a pickup and 2 hours later, still no one showed up! Then, after I called back numerous times, and 4 hours later, I got a pick-up. Fast forward to when I dropped the car off in VA where they actually are professional, and they tell me I have to pay a $120 detail fee because there are stains on the back seat. There were stains on the back seat when I picked the car up, but no one did a walk around with me when I picked up the car! I then find out I have all these weird charges on my credit card! The other location said someone would call me back about all of this but that was 4 days ago! I have never dealt with a rental car place that was this bad! BE WARNED! read more

Zero stars for me. Well, I will give it a one because the vehicle drove nice. I went to Enterprise around 5:25 pm and Sharra tried to rush me through the process. I guess because I was not going to be rushed, she stepped away from her chair and when I was ready to proceed, I had to wait for her. When we went outside to see the vehicle, she rushed me around the vehicle and I tried to show her marks on the car, in which she was holding a card with a circle and she told me that it didn't fit the circle. Finally, giving me the card, I discovered one large area of damage on the bumper but she said that didn't matter. At this point, I am feeling uneasy of the marks on the vehicle and didn't want to be liable in any way since they were not noted. Using her pad for me to add my signature, she tried not to allow me to read the terms and conditions. She told me what it meant and at the same time, scrolled down for me to add my initial. I asked her to take me back because I wanted to read what I was signing. I could tell from her body language that she wasn't pleased but I wasn't going to sign something that I couldn't read. She didn't want to tell me anything about how to operate the car until I asked and the car smelled like smoke. I had to let the windows down. I just dealt with it because I just wanted to get away from her presence. I could have had the car for 24 hours. I took that car home, parked it and at 7:30 am the next day, I returned it because I checked my emails, which she said she would send me a confirmation, but she did not. Unfortunately, but fortunately, I put the wrong address in my GPS to return the vehicle and after asking for directions, I went to a much pleasant Enterprise Auth Road.
