A bit over a year ago I had just had my third kid, and was out of shape (to put it mildly). I signed up for class with Victoria one day a week. With great trepidation and intimidation I showed up for class, not at all looking forward to anyone watching me work out. I was immediately hooked. Not only was class incredibly accessible for my ability level, I felt like I was crushing it (I'm sure I wasn't, but Victoria certainly made me feel like I was!) Within one season long session, I decided to sign up for three classes a week - class is so much fun! Victoria is constantly coming up with clever new ideas of themes and games which make class interesting. She has one of those personalities where she makes you feel like you've been friends for 20 years. Victoria is also fantastic at providing different levels and variations of exercises to accommodate all levels of ability and anyone with an injury. I've never stuck with working out (and I've tried lots of different things), but I enjoy Victoria's enthusiasm and experience, and I am here to stay. While there is never a 'goal' outside of getting moving and becoming stronger, I am beyond pleased with my progress and how I feel. I 1000% recommend Victoria without reservation. read more

I've been taking Victoria's class for over a year. I think there are four sessions per year, following the seasons. There are currently two classes per week (on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings). Victoria is really nice! When I was new, she always made a point of saying hello to me. She reaches out to each of us to offer motivating encouragement. Don't be fooled though, the workouts are tough! There are level 1/level 2 modifications so it works for a wide range of ability levels. The people in the class (mostly ladies) are very friendly as well. (It feels like a community.) The classes are held outside if the weather is nice enough. When it's cold, there is a large gym we use. As others have said the class is different EVERY time. Sometimes we focus on cardio and do a couple laps around the block, other times we do circuits, or tabatas, or holiday themed workouts (think mummy kicks and pumpkin lifts--literally with a pumpkin). I would be very sad if I had to move away....I would really miss my cleaning lady and Envirofit! Both would be incredibly difficult to replace. Also- before I did this class I had reservations about boot camps and committing to exercising outside. I was wrong. Being outside more frequently truly is good for those of us stuck working inside all day. With the modifications, you can do the workout that's right for you. I have now been taking classes with Victoria for OVER 10 YEARS. A decade of paying for being tortured with exercise. You could say I'm addicted to the pain. When I work out at EnviroFit classes, Victoria encourages me to try my hardest and push myself out of my comfort zone. Her workouts are targeted to muscles I don't workout when I'm on my own and I appreciate the variation she offers to keep things interesting. We use bands, kettlebells, and jump ropes in addition to body weight exercises to hit both strength and cardio exercises. I love being outside when I workout so that is an added bonus. During quarantine, she has moved to zoom workout which are just as intense as in person. She takes the time to correct our form or call us out if she knows we can go at those burpees just a litttttle but harder. She gets to know all of her clients and helps us set and work towards our own personal fitness goals. The group of people who take Victoria's classes are inspiring. There are folks with all levels of fitness who are committed to giving 100% of their effort during their workouts. It makes me want to work as hard as I can as well. Victoria has been a game changer for me! We met maybe 5 years ago and I joined her group fitness class as I was trying to get back into working out and I have been with her ever since! My body has changed so much! I feel so much more confident and so strong. Her energy is lovely- always uplifting, fun and inspiring. I've never had so much fun working out before! She's always offering little stories and distractions but still makes sure you're pushing yourself to your limits to get the results you want. Cannot speak more highly of her and my experience!! Victoria is an amazing trainer and person. Not only is she knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology, nutrition and postpartum exercise, but she is encouraging, supportive and hilarious! We laugh during every single workout! The Envirofit class is a supportive, inclusive group and actually fun! I leave every class feeling strong, healthy and happy. Classes are hard, but empowering and we are encouraged always to listen to our bodies and do what feels right for us - always with Victoria's guidance and modifications. I joined EnviroFit in 2013 with the idea that I would only take one session to get in shape for summer. From day 1, Victoria had me at hello. She's awesome and her coaching is tough, but not at all intimidating. She never does the same workout twice, every class is fun and challenging, and Victoria pushes each person (with love) to do their best. I've never found another coach as great as her. Everyone in the group is awesome and supportive. Here, it doesn't matter if you come in first or last. All that matters is that you finish. Our only competition is ourselves and to do better than we did the week before. That first session ended and I signed up again without hesitation. And again and again and again. I have been taking yoga at EnviroFit with teacher Mary Beth Johnson since the program started earlier this year. I cannot say enough wonderful things about both the studio and Mary Beth! She is a patient, generous teacher who connects with her students and makes them feel welcome, no matter if they have none or years of yoga experiences! Her Sunday morning classes are a great way to start the day--you feel refreshed and ready to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Her drop-in Vinyasa and Vino classes on Fridays are also a fantastic way to start the weekend! The class is energizing and relaxing...and then you get to hang out with her and other students while drinking a glass of wine! EnviroFit is also a great studio, perfect for the class sizes, and there are mats and blocks in case you forget to bring one to class! read more

When I was in the 7th grade I told my PE teacher that I couldn't participate because I didn't like to sweat. My relationship with exercise went down hill from there. Until I started training with Victoria at EnviroFit. Victoria is awesome. Every training session is different. No boring, repetitive circuit here. I am challenged and empowered to push far beyond what I think I can do. I leave each session feeling stronger and more confident. Every time. And yes, I sweat. A lot. I look forward to it every week. I can't say enough good things about what Victoria has created with EnviroFit! I love working out with her. Each class is different and you never quite know what to expect. Victoria even creates her own new moves that make you use muscles you didn't even know you had! The best part about EnviroFit is that it is FUN to work out! The environment is one in which everyone is motivated to work as hard as they can (and then a little harder) but without the guilt that usually accompanies exercise motivation. There is also a lot of joking and fun throughout class to distract from how hard you are working your body. I guess I should also mention that I have seen some wonderful results since working out with Victoria. After my 3rd baby was born I did another great workout class that helped me get rid of a lot of the baby weight but I was ready for a change up in my routine. As a long-time (and extremely frequent) member of EnviroFit, I was delighted when the business expanded to include Mary Beth and her Flow and Grow yoga classes. They're a fantastic addition to the program and are sessions in which I'm so happy to be able to take part. Mary Beth is a terrific yoga instructor and her light-hearted and open stance to all practitioners of all skill levels helps make the class fun and invigorating. As an added bonus, her Vinyasa & Vino sessions are a great way to start or end a Friday night - yoga + wine + good people is a great way to transition away from the cares of the work week. As a former athlete who spent the last couple of years getting back into shape, I just thought I wanted to look good until I remembered what it was like to feel strong. I can't recommend yoga, especially the EnviroFit flavor as a way to complement and enhance other forms of training. read more

Vic is the best! She is attentive, kind, motivating, and inspiring. Every session I had with her I left feeling great - yes also tired but in a good way. A close friend of mine invited me to join Envirofit Chicago, run by Victoria. I joined 3 years ago, and I'm one of the newer members. This tells a lot not just about Victoria's coaching but also the Group member's comradery, openness and support for one another. I love being part of this group and so happy to have found it! I've been working out with EnviroFit since June of 2011 and in that time Victoria has transformed me from a girl that hadn't worked out in SEVEN YEARS to a girl that covets her 4-5 classes/personal training sessions a week. Victoria is a dynamo with her own personal success story and fitness journey and she is simply inspirational and I consider her a friend. Victoria draws from several different types of exercise and fitness routines - calisthenics, yoga, pilates, kickboxing - you name it, we've done it. You'll never be bored. Don't worry if you are a beginner - Victoria knows just how much you can take and while she will push you to your limits there is no shame in these classes. Everyone here is at a different level and no one feels bad about her level of fitness. You'll regularly hear the women in these classes cheering each other on. The women in these classes are incredible! Don't worry if you are an experienced athlete, either. Victoria will ensure that you are challenged, too. Victoria is also certified to provide you guidance on prenatal fitness and nutrition so Envirofit can really be a one stop shop for you. In the colder months Envirofit has a facility on Lawrence but in the warmer months you'll find yourself doing innovative workouts outdoors at Horner Park and Gross Park which means you get to enjoy the nice weather and still work out. Even though I'm at the studio several days a week I was really excited to learn that Victoria had added Mary Beth and her Flow & Grow Yoga programs on Sunday and signed up immediately. Flow & Grow Yoga has a totally different feel while still focusing on strengthening and lengthening different parts of the body. I leave each class relaxed and refreshed and ready to start my Sunday. Mary Beth is very knowledgeable and she emails the students before each class to discuss the areas of the body we will be working. She also welcomes students in the class to call out poses they would like to try. Don't worry if you have no idea what a sun salutation is. This class is for beginners and experienced yogi. Mary Beth makes sure you are aware of all variations and encourages you to push yourself in each pose, but not until it hurts. My husband and I are glad we added this class. Periodically Mary Beth will also do Friday night drop in classes or, my favorite, Vinyasa & Vino. Vinyasa & Vino is a great social event for a Friday night - bring your friends, enjoy a 90 minute yoga session followed by wine and snacks (provided) for $15/pp. read more

Victoria brought me out of my workout drought and I'm am so grateful to her for helping me improve my physical health and overall well being. I started working out with her almost two years ago and am beyond pleased with the results. Her teaching methods are a great fit for me as she keeps it fun but at the same time pushes you to challenge yourself to take things to the next level. She mixes up the workouts to keep you guessing and is always bringing new things for us to try. Her formula works and she is awesome at crafting classes and personal training sessions to maximize effectiveness for all fitness levels. She also offers fitness classes for preschoolers. I have two preschoolers and they LOVE getting their workout on with Miss Victoria. She keeps the class fun and interactive while teaching them the importance of physical fitness at a level they can understand. I joined in early May when I decided I needed a push to get back into working out, getting healthy and really in shape. I enjoy the smaller size of the classes and in just a month I have improved my strength and endurance greatly. The fitcamp and fusion classes are with small groups (10-12). Victoria easily accomadates different moves to your fitness level, injuries when needed but still pushes you when she knows you are ready to cross the bridge to the next fitness level. My first session with EnviroFit was in the fall of 2011. We were meeting in parks at the crack of dawn or into the evenings on both weekdays and nights. We're still meeting in parks! Although I work out at the gym, I gave Envirofit a try since a couple of friends were already training with her. At the end of that session, I thought I had learned enough to do the workouts on my own. WRONG. The elliptical, treadmill, occasional weight training, and lack of motivation did not compare. So, I returned in January of 2013 and I've been a loyal fan ever since! Classes are now on Wednesday and Saturday. I think the trend has been more strength focus on Wednesday and more cardio on Saturday. Regardless, Victoria will inevitably change things up and you will work all of your muscle groups....even ones you didn't know you had. She makes classes interesting and fun! She focuses on correct form and not just repetition. Classes are kept to a small size of 10-12 with attendance typically around 4-8. I've been with Victoria through several life milestones...wedding, pregnancy, post-pregnancy. I keep coming back for the camaraderie, to see the friends I've made though class, and (of course) the results! Openings are hard to come by, so if you snag a spot, hold on to it and keep coming back! read more

I started training with Victoria in the fit camps. Before that I had a gym membership but I wasn't excited about working out. Then I started Envirofit and instantly started feeling the difference. It's a challenging workout and totally life changing. I felt stronger, more confident and happier with myself. Every workout was different and the women that attend were excited about being healthy and fit. It was a lot of fun. It wasn't hyper focused on weight lose or unattainable goals, but rather about doing your personal best and feeling the benefits of health. Victoria also gave great nutrition advice and workout tips to achieve your best. She adjusted some of the work out for me because I have a minor hip issue that flares up during certain moves. She was an excellent trainer, always encouraging, honest, and motivating. I moved out of town and I miss this workout so much.
