This what the first dental office I went to after I got our of the Marine Corps. It took me 5 years to be able to get insurance, I was nervous going to a dental office because I didn't want to get screwed over with a high bill. I just wanted a routine appointment, just get some X-rays and basic cleaning. Right away they told me my insurance was good, that is been too long that I had some work done on my teeth. That I should get a deep cleaning. I told them how much would that cost me? with your good insurance, you're only looking at a couple hundred for a full deep cleaning. I though that's not bad, sure let get it done. Weeks later I got a called from "Sofi", from the front desk, one of the persons saying how good my insurance was, she told me my insurance didn't cover anything from the procedure that I got done. That I had a $1000.00 balance now!! I was like what the hell!! what ever happened to "the couple hundred dollars" Now I'm stuck with the bill and if only their front desk "Sofi and Sonia" would have done their job and run my insurance to make sure what I would be cover, I would never have agreed to the procedure if I had to pay that much amount. Worst customer service, they have told me "Unless you want this to go to collection and prevent you from buying house, make sure to pay us ASAP"!! I feel ripped off like they took advantage of me. They know that I moved to a different state, that it has been more than a year since I last visit them but every time I called them to reduce my bill because it wasn't my fault their front desk employee didn't run my insurance to make sure I would be cover, they still send me "friendly reminders about my upcoming appointment through my email or txts the same day I called them to reduce my bill... I wish I could give a negative star because I would. This first consultation with Sonia should have made me run out the door and never look back but I was in pain and because of a health issue I have my regular dentist could not get my mouth numb for my root canal so he told me he found this office that does sedation. I net with Sonia first. All she kept asking me for was money. $500 for this and $500 for that. She couldn't give me a breakdown of my procedure "because she wasn't sure what insurance would pay". Stupidly I went through with the procedure the following week giving her cash upfront. The "Anesthesiologist" (actually I found out was an emt who is just studying to be an Anesthesiologist) Attempted to sedate me with 9 different IV attempts all unsuccessful. (Imagine getting 9 IV's in an hour!! Really?) Then he decided to just give me infections in my arms to try to sedate me. After 7! Yes 7! Injections in my arms they began my procedure. (I was still awake mind you and they still wanted to charge my insurance $500 for that) Although Sonia said they wouldn't pay and I would have to pay out of my pocket. I sat in that chair from 10am until 7pm the did 2 root canals 1 filling and an extraction of my wisdom tooth. Leaving there in so much pain but refusing pain meds they gave me antibiotics and a steroid. I woke up in horrible pain and it lasted for days. About a week later I called sonia stating the swelling went down at first but then one night it just came back and was hot to the touch. I'm not a doctor but I know enough to know that means infection! Sonia refused to let me speak to the dentist who did the work but instead told me they would give me another antibiotic. I took the entire course. 2 weeks later I was at the hospital with my son getting his blood work done and he was upset. I was holding him when he pushed his head against my cheek and all of the sudden I felt a huge burst in my mouth! I ran to the bathroom where I spit out PUSS AND BLOOD! Right away I called the office and of course Sonia said I couldn't speak to the dentist who did the work and that it was probably a piece of food stuck in there. No need for another round of antibiotics. At that point I was DONE! I went to the urgent care where I was told I had a fever and that the root canal and extraction site were so badly infected I had to be given a shot of antibiotics and another 2 rounds. Finally a month and 3 days after the procedure the infection was gone but now I had pain in my "root canal". This entire month the only calls I got returned were from Sonia and she only asked me for money every single time!! Oh and the temporary crown they put on fell off after 3 days!!! I called my insurance company to see why the hadn't paid and why she kept asking me for more and more money. Their answer....she never billed them!!! She was trying to get me to pay her cash and then she would bill the insurance after to get paid twice! Needless to say I out a stop to that shit right away and went to another dentist who fixed the shotty work and gave me crowns. My teeth are great now and because I have such amazing dental insurance I only paid $275 out of pocket to the new dentist. Brar Dentistry stole $500 from me and never billed my insurance. Well now they won't get paid at all because I filed a grievance with both medical and dental insurance companies and filed a complaint with the board of dentistry. Please stay clear of this crappy ass dentist office. I truly believe the need to FIRE Sonia. She is not a doctor yet she's allowed to handle serious medical situations without a license. Plus she's stealing money! Oh and I reported her too! I wish they would close this place down!!! read more

My insurance changed and I had to find a new dentist. I was not happy at all with their service. The dentist only came in towards the end of my visit and all he did was show me a live video of my teeth. He said, my filling in one tooth was loose, another tooth needed repair and so on.When I got to the front desk to check out, the man at the front desk hands me a computer printout of all the work that needed to done, followed by cost which was about $4000 and payment plan... I was floored. After only five minutes of looking at my mouth he told me I needed thousands in work! I later found another dentist in the area and brought him my 'work sheet', he said and showed me I don't need anywhere near what Pro Dental said. Stay far away from this place unless you like giving your money away. Get a second opinion at least! read more

Worse experience I ever had! After a quick exam, I was handed a computer print out telling me I needed $4500 of work on my teeth. I went and got 2 other references and found I needed only a cleaning, the rest of the work would have been very unnecessary. Total RIPOFF! read more

The wait was longer than I expected. In the past, my teeth had been cleaned by either a dentist or a technician. The results were just ok. This appointment was different. The hygienist was back from maternity leave and although she was running behind, I found out why. She is fantastic! She has a sense of humor and is committed to delivering perfect results. Awful experience with the so-called "office manager," Sophie Brar. She is the dentist's daughter, so that is the only reason why she still works their. I had a dental partial made and had my teeth cleaned. Sophie set up two accounts under my name; tried charging me twice for everything; but I caught her on it! Once I got my partial, I needed some adjustments, so I left my partial with the dentist, so that they could have it sent out to a different place that makes the adjustments. Sophie Brar did send my partial out with a complete different name. It took them a long time to locate the partial. Their have been absolutely NO apologies from Sophie the office bitch! She also had the nerve to schedule an appointment for me that I never called in to schedule. Sophie Brar is a real demon, and no matter what you say to her Daddy Rick Brar, forget it ... he just sticks up for her no matter what the situation is! Please DO NOT waste your time with Pro Dental Care. They have three offices; in all three offices, you will find Sophie Brar behind the desk ... BEWARE!!! read more

I have had the worst customer service experience here and in the Elgin location. I am a new patient and scheduled an appointment in Elgin without a problem. The day of the appointment "SOFY", the receptionist in charge of scheduling, called to see if I could reschedule as the Dr had an emergency. I agreed and we rescheduled my appointment. The day of the already rescheduled appointment, Sofy called again to see if I could come in early. On that day I was able to and didn't think t was a problem. (However, this already is a second change that, had I not been able to come in early they would have rescheduled me AGAIN). After I saw the Dr he stated I had to come back for some follow up work. We scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks later. A few days before my appointment, Sofy called to see if I could come in earlier. I was not able to so the appointment remained unchanged. Again, the day of my appointment Sofy called to state the the doctor had to go out of town and had to reschedule my appointment. At this point I was pretty dissatisfied with their scheduling and just cancelled all together. A few months later I received a notification that I was due for my cleaning again. I called to make the appointment, this time at the sleepy hollow location, in hopes to avoid Sofy all together. I called 8476958400 which is apparently their scheduling number. The person j spoke with said that since I had been previously seen in Elgin, he had to call that office for them to give me an appointment and transfer my file over to sleepy hollow. No problem this far; well the day of my appointment they at the sleepy hollow location SOFY calls again asking if I could come in early! I told her I couldn't and that at this point I had already been rescheduled many times in o it TWO visits. She got super defensive and WA studs and said something along the lines of "well then the doctors just going to have to wait for just you" implying that I was clearly an inconvenience for them. I show up at my scheduled time and of course, more troubles. My file had not been transferred from Elgin to sleepy hollow and they didn't even have me in the system. At this point I just cancelled all appointments and will not be coming back. Apparently, Sofy is the owners daughter; which is why she hasn't lost her employment yet. Her customer service is terrible and it's making her family name and business look bad. The young lady I dealt with at the office clearly seemed annoyed at the fact that my file wasn't there, and she even stated "she always does this. I hate when she does this". I'm very thankful for their gentleness, during the teeth cleaning process, the upfront honest answers about the cost of a proceudure and the friendliness of the whole staff. I had the misfortune of dealing with this place as well! I had a front tooth extracted due to infection. Only to have the majority of my front gum cut off! I've had a temp in-plant for over a year (having to visit them 5 times to re-glue) this tooth. I was quoted 2500.00 for the complete job, but now I was told that it's 4000.00! Besides that, they've tried to charge my insurance 3 times for the payment that I made (1500.00) with my credit card. Pro Dental Care does not care about the well being of their patients! All they care about is their patients wallet!!!! They told me that I needed deep cleaning every 3 months, But the great Dentist that I now have has told me that I don't need deep cleaning that often. Needless to say, I've found a great Dentist! Stay away from Pro Dental Care!!!! On a side note.....They quoted me 21,000.00 for a complete dental job, then asked me "how would you like to pay"? "we can run a credit check for you". What a joke!!!!!! Oh, I still have this temp in my mouth, but I'm working with my new Doctor on correcting what Pro Dental Care messed up. I've even contacted 1800-Dentist concerning Pro Dental Care's Practices. Now my current Dentist is having a hard time trying to get my records from Pro Dental Care.
