Months passed with repeated delays, vague responses, and ignored follow-ups. On May 20, 2025, I formally requested a refund in writing (per his own contract provisions for unearned fees). That demand was opened multiple times but never answered. Since then, Mr. Vaughn has publicly conceded that my claim has merit and that his obligations remain. He has still refused to issue a refund, instead offering $1,000 -- less than a third of what I paid -- despite never filing the case. This is not professional conduct. I have filed with the Alabama State Bar and the Client Security Fund so the record is clear. Mr. Vaughn also publicly called me a "bitch" on social media for seeking a refund. Future clients deserve to know how this matter has been handled.

I recommended a friend who is not from the Carroll County area to Mr. Swindle as I had used his services back in 2021. My friend who I recommended was charged with a dui in September of 2024 and we did not hear back from the Swindle team until October 2nd of 2025. Despite our many attempts of reaching this law group Tana was unprofessional and rude, and that was in the rare event she actually picked up the phone. We went to the court hearing October 3rd 2025 which was postponed due to the arrest of Jason Swindle the day prior. He had shown up to court intoxicated, ironically. The court date was once again postponed to September 3rd 2025 and our new attorney was his partner Steve, who showed up disheveled and smelling of alcohol. His appearance was that of someone they hired off the street and his actions were not any different. He stared at the ground the entirety of the time in front of the judge, there was no representation and no defending my friend after our payment, our time, and our many attempts at reaching out. Tana, Steve, and Swindle are dishonest, uncooth, and greedy. They couldn't care less of the outcome of your life. They are in it for the money, it's like play attorney and they are just bad at it. We did the discovery and our court date was to be in November 2020. About a month before he told me we needed to do a mediation. I remember telling him "Why do we have to pay another lawyer? Can you not talk to my wife's lawyer?" He told me "This is how we do it in Alabama". At $200.00 an hour you would think he could do all of it but he cannot. I did not want to do it because my wife will not participate. The mediation was a week before the court date and I was asked to get additional information. Well we are running out of time for this. This would not be complete before the trial so I told him to get a continuance and I will get him what he needs. Ten days later I have what he asked for and stupid me I was thinking this will complete the mediation and this will be over. He did nothing with what I gave him. It was a total waste of time and you guessed it...All of the lawyers got paid. I asked him early on to subpoena information and it was like pulling teeth. He did not want to do it. It took almost two years for him to subpoena her financial data. Data that I needed against her. He has a part time staff and you will literally have to spoon feed him to do anything. He talked about my wife so much that I wondered who he is working for. When he finally asked for another $5000.00 I fired him shortly after. He is not working the case of a millionaire. It is shocking that this case is now over two years and I had to hire another attorney to help get me out of this mess. Not all of the problems were his. My wife's lawyer screwed us in June of 2021. Continuing a court date over a savings account. Wow. In November 2021 I thought that we were going to trial and was told that the Judge would not hear the case. He gave me some pathetic excuse and I told him. The reason the Judge will not hear the case is because both of the lawyers pissed her off. Not the actual party in the case. This is true. In Summary: 1. Any divorce will cost you at least $8000.00 2. You will have to tell him everything to do because he is not going to do it on his own 3. You will have to follow up because he will forget 4. Your divorce could take up to three years if you hire him. Just like mine.
