We enjoyed a lovely private excursion to Lea Island. Captain Ian was wonderful. He was skilled with the boat, attentive to our comfort, and extremely knowledgeable about the area.

We had such fun pack day with Epic. They were very accommodating and happy to make it better. Captain B was awesome!

As we celebrated my Shakie birthday, Porsha Davenport, We had a wonderful time with Epic Excursion at Wrightsville Beach!! If you are looking for a great way to spend the day,I strongly recommend Epic Excursion. We took a boat ride to a private island where we had a scrumptious crab boil from Topsail Steamer set up and enjoyed. The boat ride was exciting, and the Captain (Captain B)was very accommodating. Great experience all around. We definitely will do this again BTW-THANKS Captain B for rescuing our beach hats!

What an awesome experience- did the oyster farm tour excursion and got to relax on one of the inter coastal beaches and enjoy oysters straight from the oyster farm we visited. Learned so much about oysters and NC oyster farming that made us even more proud to support local farmers and small businesses. Excellent service and knowledgeable captain helped us just relax! We were able to bring our own beverages but some nice wine pairings were served along with raw and steamed oysters. We would do this trip again as well as the other excursion options that epic excursions offers!

I wanted a special surprise party for my husband with 20 of our family members. When I saw Epic Excursions I knew this was it. They did not disappoint. We took the boat to an island on Masonboro inlet for 4 hours of fun, food, sun and swimming. Epic's Captain Ted picked us up on time and when we arrived on the island everything was set up and ready to go. We had the Low Country Boil which was delicious and perfectly prepared by the crew. If you want a special day on a secluded beach, you need to call Epic Excursions. We will definitely be doing this again. Maybe we'll try the sunset package next. Oh, and my husband WAS surprised.

The price was steep for what we got. They only supplied the shrimp boil and water. No chips, no dessert.

He asked for input about where we wanted to go on the ride but also offered great suggestions. It was a nice balance. The day of the ride was SO much fun. There were six of us and plenty of room on the boat to spread out. One of us has a bit of anxiety about boats and James was very reassuring. The island James took us to was peaceful and beautiful and it was amazing getting to float in the still water nearby. He even collected some shells for my toddler to bring home! James is not a Wilmington native but has been here for a while and has clearly worked hard on knowing the area well. The two hours flew by - we had such a great time. Before we got back I was thinking about when we could rationalize doing it again. Highly, highly recommend booking with Salty Feet. Full disclaimer that I know James through a friend, but that doesn't sway my opinion in any way. I'm not affiliated with the business and don't know James well.

This island off the coast of Wrightsville is an 8.4 mile-long, undisturbed barrier island ecosystem in southern North Carolina that can only be reached by boat. We were one of only a few people on the island exploring the beaches and climbing up and down the sand dunes. It was like having our own private island. We were allowed to stay on Masonboro for a while -- we just had to tell the captain what time to come back to get us. This made me a little nervous (what if the captain had a heart attack and died and no one knew we were out on this island?!). But the time went by quickly, and by the time we had to meet the captain at the beach shore for pickup, I wish we had told him to pick us up at a later time. For this experience alone -- exploring a desolate, peaceful, beautiful island -- I would highly recommend booking a boat trip with Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours. But they also offer other boating voyages, including birding boat tours and dolphin tours at sunset. They also offer themed voyages out to Masonboro, including a pirate treasure hunt for kids and a cruise that focuses on collecting shells. They communicate with you via text to make sure you know where to park on the mainland, and ask if you have any questions. Everything went very smoothly with our boat ride, and it was such a fun experience and a great way to explore the Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington area.

Honestly, the dreary day may have made the cruise even more suited for the story Hunter Ingram, Burgin Wright House & Gardens Assistant Museum Director, shared with us on our voyage along the riverfront. The cruise was cozy with holiday theme beverages available for purchase, and the history lesson and the story written by James Sprunt in the 1800s told by Ingram was well worth the ticket price. I absolutely have to do more of the historic tours offered by Wilmington Water Tours. A couple of hours on this river cruise is definitely time well spent.

Late April must be the "sweet spot" for this cruise. The weather was perfect! The water was calm and we appreciated that we saw both daylight and dark during the cruise. The number of folks on the boat was good - we never felt too crowded; do not allow any more, though. The biggest thing that dinged the stars to four - and, I really was unhappy about this - was the volume of the singer. She was very good; she is talented and her selections were appropriate but TOO, TOO LOUD. The four of us could not hear each other talk (or, yell). It is a small boat; any amp at all is too much. I did (discreetly) mention something to one of our tour guides about asking her to decrease her volume. It was completely IGNORED. We booked this cruise because there was to be "entertainment" perhaps that was a poor choice. Value/fee was good - should not be any more.

We came on a day when we thought the weather at the beach was going to be less than ideal - lucky for us, the Zipline tours operate rain or shine. We ended up having great weather for it too! It was super easy to book. Once we got there, they got us kitted out, then we went through a quick (yet thorough) instruction on how to safely zipline. It was a group of 5 of us plus our guides. The tour took about 2 - 2.5 hours, and you get to go on 10 different ziplines. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Especially if the weather is going to be less than ideal and you need some way to kill time. Our tour guides, Chase, Miles, and Zach, were great! Thanks y'all!

Work rented out the tiki charter for a co-workers bonding experience on a Sunday afternoon and it couldn't have been more fun. We had free control of the AUX cord with great range of volume. They had drinks on board and we were able to bring on our favorite beers, seltzers, waters, and snacks. The couple working the charter were super personable, funny, and sweet. They had a wide range of boat knowledge and made us feel safe while having a blast. The tiki charter can comfortably fit, I'd say, about 6-8 guests. There's barstools to sit on and a sturdy platform to walk around on while it slowly cruises through the waterways. Depending on the day, tide, weather, and your preferences, they'll take you around the intracoastal waterways, past oyster piles, millionaire world traveler boats, under bridges, and out to Palm Tree Island. At the island they anchored and lets us jump out and swim. It was ridiculously warm, the water was beautifully clear, and the tide was calm enough we could splash around and not drift away. The staff dealt patiently with our multiple photo shoots and even offered to take group shots a couple times. They want you to have the most relaxing, fun, enjoyable experience out on the tiki and it definitely showed. The cruise lasted about 2+ hours and I believe the cost was a flat $400 for the group. They have you sign waivers in advance online and meet you under the bridge by the marina before boarding. It's a very fun experience with a professional crew that knows a ton about the area and can treat you a time you won't forget. I hope to get the chance to take my friends out on the tiki soon!
