My husband and I signed an agreement with Jarvis Brooks for home renovations in September of 2023…read more Jarvis was very personable and seemed very trustworthy. His crew completed some of the projects through November 2023. Then they stopped showing up. Jarvis was very slow to respond to text messages or phone calls. He repeatedly told us a reason he was waiting on something to be able to continue. In March 2024, his crew worked for 4 days with plans to continue after that. But, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to jail. We found out at that time that he has a history of criminal charges for residential contractor fraud. Since that time, he has not responded to attempts to get a refund or have the work completed. We have paid another contractor over $20,000 to complete the work that was included in our initial agreement with Jarvis and was paid in full. Do not do business with Jarvis Brooks.
