I find the staff helpful and the instructors and trainers well experienced and good at instructions. They are patient and kind. Is this a state-of-the-art gym or pool? Probably not. A young teenager who also works at Eastridge finally walked up to us with a remote and said to Ryan "It's not really a big deal, I can just change the channel." My thoughts exactly. I was dealt a terrifying experience while floating this "lazy river" this past Friday…read more My group was told this was a very relaxing, easy experience. We were told by staff that we "don't need to wear life jackets" because the water is so calm and easy. It was anything but. After the current picked up speed, I was met with a drop between large rocks. Unable to slow down or drift to the side and stop because of the current speed, I was whisked down the drop and my tube went flying out from underneath me. Attempting to hold onto my tube, I dislocated my shoulder and I am very thankful that was the worst of it. This place needs to encourage wearing life vests rather than encouraging folks NOT to. I am a decent swimmer and I got very lucky that I didn't hit my head on the rocks. Please please be especially aware of this warning before bringing your kids to this establishment. This "lazy river" was anything but. I should also add: as a very nice park ranger was driving me and my friends back to our car, one of the 2 staff members showed up and seeing me in a makeshift sling, clearly in severe pain, told me "just ice it and in a couple days it'll be fine." I spent the entire rest of the day at the hospital. Beware of this establishment.

My boys and I enjoy coming to this location for the large open concept of the cardio and weight training area which is surrounded by a 1/10 of a mile track. Under sunny skies and with the air at a comfortable 78°F (and the water a refreshing 60°F), we couldn't have asked for better conditions. Our guide, Captain Jack, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also an absolute blast--his energy made the entire experience even more memorable. We tackled a series of Class I, II, and III rapids with a great mix of adrenaline and fun. By the time we pulled out of the water, we were soaked, smiling, and already talking about doing it again. If you're ever in the area and looking for adventure, this is one to add to your list!
